My husband and I recently got married last month at Mountain Meadows, after having booked it around August of 2018. My husband and I had a difficult time deciding on a venue that we both liked and stayed within our budget. But when we got to Mountain Meadows, we were both amazed right away. We talked about it after leaving the venue, and emailed them that evening to book the venue. We ended up getting the same-day booking special, which was awesome! Throughout all that time leading up our wedding, I emailed Gaby and her staff often, as I had no idea what goes into a wedding. Gaby was generally the one I messaged, and I frequently received a quick response. I asked a LOT of questions, but they were always kind and patient with me. I so appreciated it, as I was stressed and didn't know what to do or who to ask. On the day of the wedding, it was wonderful having a member of the staff be the coordinator during the ceremony portion, as we didn't want to spend extra money on a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. Then they took us on golf carts to take pictures during the cocktail hour. I loved that so many things were included in the package, including house centerpieces (which we utilized but also added some of our own decor), food, ceremony, reception, wedding cake, etc. It really made our lives easier during the craziness of wedding planning. TIP 1: We got our own wine for the reception, as that ended up being better quality and cheaper than purchasing the wine via the venue. We were only charged $10/bottle for corkage fee, and were able to bring home any bottles of wine that weren't opened. If we had bought the wine through the venue, we wouldn't have been able to take any bottles of wine home. They were completely honest, and returned half of our bottles of wine to us(!!!), as most of our guests were not big drinkers. TIP 2: When sending in the "final" guest count 2 weeks prior to the wedding date, we stated the number of people who RSVP'ed. Unfortunately, at the very last minute, a few of our guests cancelled and we weren't able to get the money deducted. (Totally understandable though.) So maybe mention a few guests less just in case, as you can always add (but not subtract) the final guest count at the end. read more

Was here for a wedding and while the ceremony was great, the venue beautiful, and the night was filled with wonderful events and memories, I felt the wait staff's behavior was unacceptable for such an important event as this. Half of the guests at my table did not get their salad or bread even after everyone else was done with appetizers, and after finally flagging down one of the servers to notify her of the situation, she gave us a look as if we were trying to trick her and then went off without a word. She later came back with the salads, so we thought all's well that ends well. Unfortunately, they later on completely forgot to bring out my husband's main entree, and as much as we tried to notify someone, there were no servers in sight. We ran to one we saw entering the kitchen and told them we were missing on entree, to which the server just curtly said, "Okay, wait 5 minutes, I'll ask." And of course, never came back to update us. 15 minutes later, another server brought out a plate for my husband, but the chicken was still raw. At this point we gave up and decided to join everyone on the dance floor. I'm not sure how they managed to screw up the orders or "run out" of chicken given that two guests at my table actually turned down the chicken for just plain mashed potatoes and veggies due to dietary reasons. There *should* be more than enough cooked chicken to go round. While I understand that things can get hectic/chaotic at weddings, I am surprised an establishment that claims to have an experienced staff would allow such unprofessionalism. Not one of them apologized for the hiccups nor even acknowledge there were issues. They all disappeared without a word after talking to them. In regards to food, it was alright. The chicken breast I got was a little dry but the mashed potatoes and gravy had good flavor. Of course, a wedding is so much more than just food and service, but if this is one of your main concerns, just thought I'd give my two cents from a guest perspective. At the end of the day, I'm just happy to celebrate the happy couple. read more

Golf course is in great shape aside from muddy areas on several fairways. My complaint is with my scheduled tee time. I booked a foursome at 9:15 am on Friday, November 9th. We arrived early and checked in at 9:00am. We got to the first tee and there were 6 groups ahead of us waiting to tee off. We did not tee off until 9:45. Needless to say with that many groups waiting on the first tee, our round took more than 5 hours to complete. There did not appear to be a reason for the back up. I suspect the purse overbooked hoping some people would not show. Overall not a great experience. read more

Pretty bummed with the lack of consideration for health inside the restaurant. Mid-round around 4:30pm today I went in for a few snacks and gave the guy behind the bar my card. He inserted my card and as it was processed, he proceeded to grab 3 empty glasses and grabbed them at the top where people put their lips to drink. He puts them in the dirty bin and goes straight to touching and returning my card. I was shocked that this lack of consideration for cross-contamination, especially during a pandemic, was thrown out the window. read more

We had our wedding reception at Mountain Meadows in June. The reception was beautiful. There were a few glitches worth mentioning... When the dinner tables were set up, the legs were not locked on one of the tables. When the guests arrived and set their personal items, drinks etc on the table, the legs of the table collapsed and everything including the centerpiece ended up on the floor... The appetizers were set out on a table in the corner and most of the guests did not even know they were there. We thought the appitizers were going to be served. Were were told by a few guests that the only beer being offered during the hosted bar hour was Bud Light, once again not what we expected. And last, champaign was offered to teenagers for the toast and when my mother said something the young lady serving the champagne said it was her first day and forgot about asking for id. Yikes! Aside from these issues, I was so pleased with theoverall experience. Gaby was patient with me and all my questions, the room looked beautiful, the bakery was wonderful, the food was AMAZING!!! Hats off to the chef. We served the stuffed chicken breast and received nothing but compliments! Thank you to the MM staff for their part in making my dream wedding a reality. read more

This is a great venue and everyone is a pleasure to work with. Gaby assisted me with all of the details and she was always quick to respond to any of my questions offering guidance. There was a manager on site the day of the event who helped make everything run smoothly. The venue is beautiful and you get wonderful views of the golf course and mountains, it is so pretty. We had our wedding here on 11/26/16 and it was amazing! I was very nervous due to it starting to rain just hours before our ceremony. Gaby quickly reassured me that we could make changes and have a beautiful ceremony indoor as well. Her and Rosanna made my day stress-free and I completely trusted them with their decision making. I like this course probably mostly out of nostalgia. The greens are slow. If you can hit it straight it plays quite easy. Some Downhill holes provide nice vistas of the valley. Average range but decent putting practice. Pretty chill vibe. read more

Great course!!! The staff is amazing... I'm not fond of courses allowing groups of 5 but they make up for it with great service and friendly staff!!! This past weekend, I booked a 2 some early and showed up with a last minute 3rd player. They were super cool about it and squeezed us in. I was a wedding guest last night at Mountain Meadows and I had such a great time. This is a great choice for a wedding reception/photos. The golf course is beautiful and has many great spots for photos. The reception room is spacious and seats 150 people comfortably. The staff are very friendly and accommodating for special meals (vegetarian). The event Manager Angelica was very kind and made sure everyone was happy. I enjoyed the many features this event location offered: outdoor cigars, open bar, and dance floor. I enjoyed the steak and fish dinner and the cake was definately yummy. The staff brought all food items out in timely manner and we were never kept waiting for the next thing but we're constantly enjoying ourselves with each dinner course and with the DJ's music list. I danced, drank and had an amazing time. I would recommend this spot for any couple looking for a great location with lots of parking available for their wedding reception. read more

This is not for the golf course but for the Banquet Room. I recently had my wedding reception and ceremony at Mountain Meadows Golf Course. The course offers a great value for your money! I got married on a Friday evening and it was nothing but amazing. The girls in the catering office Tiffany and Elizabeth are very attentive; they made the whole process very easy for my husband and I. Very understanding and accommodating to the millions of questions and changes that came up. During the events, the wait staff is professional, punctual and very helpful. There are many things that went wrong on my 4th of July wedding. I will list the details for those who care. For those who want the gist - the staff was inattentive of the details they were supposed to deliver, treated me and my party as though we were not giving them thousands of dollars of business, and neglected to ensure safety and security of my guests and our belongings (which led to theft from my bridal suite!). The details: 1. Mountain Meadows lacked consistency in service as they endured a high amount of turnover throughout our relationship with them. 2. Based on the Banquet Event Order Elizabeth McSwain wrote for me the following was supposed to happen but didn't: a.1) I was supposed to show up from 2-4:30pm for my First Look pictures and have 2 golf carts ready to take us out to take pictures. My husband arrived at 2pm and had to walk to our picture destination bc our Banquet Captain was not at the venue with a golf cart. When I showed up at 2:15pm, the Banquet Captain, Alex, was still not there. I called him and asked where he was, why the venue was locked, and why there was no golf cart to take me in my dress out on the course. He said, "You weren't supposed to get there until 3pm." I said, "Actually if you remember the conversation we had w/ Monica yesterday, she said 2pm. Also, it is on my paperwork that I would be showing at 2pm. I am here now and there is no one to assist me." a.2) When my party arrived at 3pm to take pictures with us, the venue gave us several carts to take the girls in their dresses out to the lake. Well since I had no one there to assist me, no one told me or my party we were allowed 2 golf carts only. So, here we were with several carts parked and all of us taking pictures, and Alex comes over to us (finally he's there!) and says, "You're not allowed to have more than 2 golf carts. You need to bring them back." Then luckily, someone from my party said, "Hold on, we're paying you to service to us. You need to have your staff return the carts, and then have your staff drive these girls in dresses back and forth especially since we're only allowed 2 carts and there are over 20 of us here in expensive clothes." Luckily, Tyler (event staff) helped us with a positive attitude and apologized for the misunderstanding and lack of help from the beginning. b) The Banquet Event Order (BEO) I revised w/ Elizabeth stated my cake would arrive at 3pm. It did not show until 4:45, which was 15 minutes before my wedding! c) After speaking w/ Elizabeth, I told her when creating my BEO that my guests would most likely be arriving around 4pm, and if they could have the bar open for them to have beverages as they waited. I also asked that ceremony chairs be set, so they could be seated as they wait. Bar was not opened although it was outside and the seats were barely being setup at 4pm. My guests were irritated. d) I asked for no aisle runner. Someone still put out the aisle runner. e) I had the reception area and tables set up a specific way as communicated to Elizabeth & Tiffany, Michelle (an event staff personnel) told my Matron of Honor (with attitude) that the set up would need to be changed back to how it should be. Michelle obviously did not communicate w/ Elizabeth & Tiffany about setup, and had not learned from the book of Customer Service to treat your clients and their guests well. Didn't anyone at Mountain Meadows learn, "Rule #1. The client/customer/guest is always right. Rule #2. And if ever they are wrong refer to Rule #1." Seriously, all day I felt like I was in the wrong and never did I feel taken care of by Mountain Meadows. f) Mountain meadows put in my package the use of House Centerpieces. I asked for tea lights w/ 4 to each table. Apparently, Alex failed to put those out as well as forgetting several plates for some guests. Again, lack of attention to detail. 3. When we signed a contract w/ Mountain Meadows, we expected that they would reserve a portion of the venue and grounds for us and our guests. Mountain Meadows neglected to do the following things: a) to tell us that they would not reserve the Bridal Suite to just me and my party b) that they would not reserve the portion of the golf course I had for my ceremony and walkway to the reception area for me and my guests c) that July 4th would be a date that would draw hundreds of general public visitors (not paying customers) to the golf course after business hours d) they didn't ensure the necessary event staff security to ensure safety and security of us and my guests, as well as that of the hundreds of visitors at the golf course after hours. We know if the City of Pomona does not allow hundreds of people on a premises like that without proper security. Hence, the negligence on Mountain Meadows' part led to a less than proper farewell sendoff, a headache throughout the day, and $1,750 worth of goods stolen from my bridal suite. read more

So despite the reviews, I decided to play here today because of the Winds out east. Huge mistake a 40 mile-an-hour wind would have been better than the pace of play at this golf course. The morning starter said they weren't going to allow fivesomes, however as soon as the three and two ahead of us got past the first hole they became a five a 5 where the combined age was 612 years old. Hadn't been here for a year-and-a-half and I remember why. Take my advice and play in the Wind. read more

I just recently had my wedding here and it was absolutely perfect! Gaby and everyone on her team are amazing! They always made sure to respond in a timely manner and provided as much assistance as they could throughout the whole planning process. Today one of our buddies had to back out last minute the course says he lost his free round if he didn't play today and on top of that they still charged us all ten dollars to play! What a wonderful day for a round of golf?! This is a pretty challenging course for a beginner like me and the greens are in top condition. The game play was probably the worse here due to slow pace. We ended up with a 7 hour round and mostly waiting around to take our swing. This course will need to be more strict on the golf pace and not have their regular Men's club spend 20 minutes to putt. I probably will not return anytime soon. read more

Went to Mothers day brunch today and was severly dissappointed.Supposed to be ready at 10am....got sat at 1015am and the omelet station and carving station was not even functional till 1030am. Food in chafers was cold and tasteless. Their cocktail sauce was 75% horseradish and not even edible. The service was worse than the food...nobody seemed to care in my opinion.. I can't think of a worse experience... especially watch out for clubhouse assistant "Lucas" and security/host "Jim"--they are like evil versions of Bevis and Butthead. Also, DO NOT CONSIDER HOSTING AN EVENT HERE! The facilities look nice, but I could not believe the way I observed the staff treating wedding guests. This place needs a staff overhaul Pomona! This course is ok for a public course but the staff is arrogant, rude and incapable. Played there a couple of times before and decided never to go back again. Latest experience: We arrived at 9:40 for our 10:20 tee time and the old man would not allow us to check in for whatever he was busy on. We waited outside for 20 minutes seeing an empty course with nobody teeing off during the entire 20 minutes. Went in again and he was then busying checking in a tournament of 3 groups. By the time he finished those 3 groups it was already past 10:20. We'd have to wait for another 30 min before we can tee off. The old man did not even bother to explain the delay. He must have thought that all the golfers were there to beg him in order to get to play this course. We ended up leaving for Diamond Bar Golf Course, which by the way is prettier than MMGC with a much friendlier staff. read more

I came here for a couples Valentine Dinner. It was $30 per person. It was well worth the price. The meal consisted of Tri Tip with a gravy sauce, bbq chicken, garlic bread, salad, baked beans and vegetables. The dessert was Angel food cake with strawberries. I am in the Mens Club and play often. They have a great range plan so it's a good place to practice. Robin is the new GM and he is doing an amazing job and service has improved! The course is well maintained and I like the track. I think the course is really well maintained especially considering we're in a bad drought. I'm glad they have the gophers controlled unlike other courses. I usually don't buy from pro shops at courses, but the prices are great especially with the discounts from the range plan. I hope they keep it up! read more

Fun place to play. Course is in good muni condition right now, although they will be aerating the greens in April. Fairways, rough, sand, and tee boxes are pretty good, yet not spectacular. Nice layout and a chance to see some deer and rabbits. Got around pretty quick, less than 4 hours, starting at 1:45 pm on a Monday. read more

My husband and I booked our ceremony at Mountain Meadows Golf Course. If you are looking for a inexpensive outdoor ceremony with a beautiful view of the mountains, this is the right place! Michelle was our ceremony coordinator she and her team did a fantastic job! I got married on March 5, 2017. It rained that day, and Michelle and her team literally exceeded my expectation. Had a wonderful experience with Angelica, one of the Mountain Meadows' Banquet Managers while coordinating a wedding here earlier this month. As a wedding planner, we work will all types of people, but Angelica's personality really stood out. She was positive, a team player, and flexible. She told me all about her journey with the company and she deserves every promotion she has gotten, and more! She should definitely be promoted to catering manager soon. They book tee times and don't tell you there will be a tournament that same day ... We had 2 holes left to play when a Marshall comes by and tells us twice. to hurry up because they need the carts ,,,the tournament doesn't start for another hour .. The course is in great condition. Play is slow as they overbook and they frequently allow 5-somes. The worst part is the smoking that is apparently tolerated by management. No smoking signs (except in designated smoking areas) are posted but are not adhered to and not enforced. I thought LA Count facilities has an ordinance forbidding smoking. read more

rated by an improving( or had a dream that I was improving) high handicapper. Played this curse on 1/28/11. Had a start time of about 12:20 for about $21. The starter was friendly, pleasent and allowed us to go off about 10 min early, appropriate since no one was going off earlier. The tee's, fairways and rough were all in fair to good condition. The greens were firm and in good condition. the bunkers are in poor condition, some areas had less than a half an inch of sand and hard dirt below. This is a very hilly course with nice views, many holes with elevation changes and uneven lies, some blind shots, and dog legs. There was a very cute and friendly cart girl, we only saw her twice, which was OK because we BYOB. Pace of play would have been good, if it were not for a slow twosome in front of us. No marshalls. Good driving range, but into a hill. 2 Very good putting and chipping areas. Love the back nine, will be back to try again. read more

We had a 12:45 tee time on a Friday. It took 20 minutes or so for us to finally tee off, and we got through 15 holes in 4 hours. The pace could have been a little faster, but 15 holes for $28.25 with a cart isn't a bad deal. This is the first course I've been to (out of about a dozen) where there's a cute little snack shack girl that drives around in a golf cart. Make sure to flag her down if you want something, because a smile is not going to get it done. This is probably one of the nicest public courses in the area. It's cheaper than Los Serranos and almost has the same quality of greens and upkeep. I will definitely come back here at least once a month. read more

Love this course. I live less than a mile away, and it's one of the most challenging golf courses in the area. I usually only go when I can score a deal online, but I'll play this course over any other course in the IE any day. read more
