Horrible service and I didn't even get to the part where I actually got to EAT pizza! Placed an order and was told due to high orders the wait would be about 1 1/2. I still placed my order and when it didn't arrive within time frame (& then some) I called in. A girl answer and first thing she said was "Sorry were not taking orders, powers down. Sorry for that. Byyy..." I had to cut her off before I was hung up on. Asked if the orders placed at 6:30 (now 8:30) were effected by the outage. She told me to hold for manager. For a business that can't work it took quite a while for this manager to get on the line and repeat what the first one told me. I asked why I hadn't been called (knowing my number is on the order slip printed prior to power going out) he took the easy way out & lied saying he didn't have access to my phone number. Walked in to order the pizza and salad bar . There was no one at the counter to take the order . We waited for a few minutes. The place was dirty and empty on a Friday night, except for the men hanging around the bar all drunk. We finally ordered are food . The salad wasn't fresh. The pizza came out wrong . Last week Saturday we had a baby shower in one of the reserved rooms in Manteca. We wanted to order pitchers of soda to serve our guest but apparently they don't do pitchers of soda - only beer, so we had to purchase a cup for every guest at $2.99 per cup. They would not sell us two litters bottles either. Then we wanted to use our coupons that we received in the mail towards the pizza and the manager said they were not valid at that location. Would not make change for quarters so kids could play machines. The manger was very rude and basically said NO to everything we asked. Placed mobile order for pickup. Received confirmation of payment including itemized list of what I purchased. I rarely open and look at the pizzas. This time for some reason I looked at one of the pizzas and one was missing 2 of the 3 toppings. I was told we can make you another. What a great solution. Aparantly, whatever special is going on and posted inside the store, or even if you had asked on the phone when ordering... IF YOU FAIL TO ASK ABOUT THE SPECIAL, you don't then get the special price when ordering what the special is. So, when ordering a one topping pizza over the phone, should you not ask, you'll then not get the $2 or $3 off because you didn't ask. You then go to pick up the pizza, see the sign, and then feel like you over paid when handing over your card to pay full price. Not a good business practice. I'm going to now NOT ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN, and not worry what their special is because I'll be ordering from somewhere else. I have never been to Mtn Mike's Pizza before. I have always gone to Round Table Pizza. The RTP that we went to was sub par. Decided to check out MM. We did a pizza to go, ordered on-line, and when I walked in I was quite surprised. The place is well taken care of and a nice little bar as well. Nice tv setup and I thought it would be cool to have pizza and beer here while watching a sporting event. Back to the pizza, it was really good and it was waiting for me when I got there. I have read some of the negative reviews and frankly I am surprised. The pizza is good, the atmosphere was nice, the staff is quite friendly. I am not doubting their experience, but happy that I have had nothing but a good experience with them. Just so you know, I will not be returning to RoundTable Pizza. Very disappointed. We buy pizza from mountain mikes here in Manteca on a fairly regular basis. The quality of their pizza is getting worse over the last few times we have ordered. This current time the pizza was not cooked all the way threw. I ordered a large and paid for a large. Once I got home it really looked as if we had a medium size in the box. Noticed one other time while I was there the kids in the kitchen were goofing are drinking soda. Maybe the owner was in there participating in all the fun. Either way something should be done. Failing business practices and decreasing customer service is not good. Think we'll look else where for our pizza from now on. read more

I am posting for my parents who are a bit technology challenged: My wife and I went into the Manteca store to have dinner on 1/5/2018. We purchased a large Everest pizza at 4:59 p.m. (on receipt). We waited in the restaurant for the pizza and watched numerous people come in after us and order their pizza, get their pizza, and leave. A worker by the name of April, took our order, and also noticed at 5:30 we had not received our pizza. She said she would check on the status. At 5:40 she asked for our receipt. At 5:50 a worker brought the pizza out to us. When we went to eat the first bite the pizza was cold. April came back by to check on us and we indicated that the pizza was cold. She then proceeded to laugh at us. We told her that she could take the pizza back and she continued to laugh at the situation. We spent a total $30.65 at the restaurant for a pizza and two sodas. Needless to say, we did not get $30.65 worth of food. I would not recommend this place! read more

It's pizza is inconsistent, customer service and management are a joke!! 1) On 12/2018 I ordered a Mountain size pizza that I paid close to $40 dollars and got a little Caesars type of pizza. 2) On 01/2019 I called to order some pizza and was placed on hold for 5 minutes, when I finally talked to someone I asked if it was busy..? The employee on the phone laughed while saying kinda. When I came in 15-20 minutes later to pickup my phone order the place was dead, so I asked to speak to the manager to try and explain the inconsistency and inconvenience they have been giving me. Manager was rude and didn't really care if I was happy or not with the service that we pay for. I wasn't asking for anything free just wanted to relay the 2 bad experiences they have been giving customers. I ordered my pizza at 12:25 PM. It is now 2:19 PM and my one large pizza is still not done. The employee in the front yelled at me and I honestly believe that the food was not even cooked at all. He's been telling everybody 14 minutes for over an hour and I'm the last one here waiting for my food. I asked him again where my pizza was. He said he has no control of that and they're shorthanded. Used to live in Manteca and would come here often for lunch break. Came today and brought my boys to try the lunch buffet. Not busy at all and only three pizzas on the buffet line, All half gone. No fresh bacon or ham in the salad bar. And although they advertise deserts as part of the buffet there were none offered. Paid $30.00 for the three of us to eat. Pizzas all tasted the same. The crust is not as good as I remember and the restaurant itself was hot. My sons went to wash their hands in the bathroom and the sink didn't work. Mountain Mikes has always been know as a great pizza but expensive. We stopped going years ago. Tonight we wanted to have Mountain Mikes because they put a lot of pepperoni on. We also ordered two extra toppings. I am willing to pay the three dollars per topping but only if they are added. You could not tell there were any onions or green peppers. On Valentine's Day my boss ordered a pizza and sent me with his card & ID to pick it up. I told the lady I was there to pick up a pizza for (my boss's name) And that it's always nice when the boss buys us pizza. I laid out his card & ID but she said she didn't need the ID. She reported the card stolen after I left!!! You can imagine my horror when my boss told me his card was reported stolen by that woman and his bank canceled all of his cards as a precaution. Ordered two pizzas and a 2 liter Pepsi for delivery online. I called ten minutes later to ask if the driver could bring one cup of ice with the Pepsi because my ice maker broke. She said she would have to charge me another $2.00 for a cup of ice. I said I'm not paying $2.00 for ice after I spent $3.50 on a two liter and $35 on my order. I asked if they could just bring one cup of ice for free, she said no because it would melt. I explained that ice doesn't melt that fast and I would take the risk. She again said it would be $2.00. I asked if there was anyone else I can talk to. She said no that all the "drivers" were out and it would be their decision if they wanted to bring a free cup of ice. At this point I almost cancelled my order but was hungry with two babies at home and not in the mood to leave the house for food, make food, or reorder somewhere else and wait longer. I asked if she could please talk to the driver about the ice. Anyways, the driver gets here... No ice of course. And to top it off, the two liter is warm: non-refrigerated. Wow! This place is absolutely ridiculous! I just placed an order online about 15 mins and I decided that I would have my partner pick-up on her way home from work rather than have it delivered. I tried calling them immediately to inform of them of the change. 1st call - takes about 2 mins to this old dude to pick it up. He puts me on hold for nearly 3 mins and I hang up. 2nd call - i let it ring for about 3 mins. No one picks up the call. 3rd call - 2 mins after ringing, same old douche picks up the phone and transfers the call to middle age broad. She tells me that they barely rec'd my online order after placing it 10 mins ago. She was able to make the change but I have to come in and pay. She wouldn't let me pay over the phone and that I would have to come in and show my ID. After much frustration, I said fine and I'll pick it up. Mind you about 15 mins have passed since my original order was placed. I asked how long will it take for the pizza for it to be ready and her response was 20-30 mins. Really it will take nearly 40 mins for pick-up??? I just cancelled the entire order. I called my partner to let me know not to drop by and pick it up because the pizza will not be ready in time. She tells me that she's already at the parking lot and there's no one there. I told her to go in there and tell them that I'm frustrated with their service. So my partner just got home and she told me it was a fat girl who I spoke to was the Manager and there was no customers in the restaurant. She apologized to my partner saying that she just got the order. My partner told her, how can it take so long to receive the order and answer the phone. And her response was she was she's working at Mountain's Mike and also taking care of the store next door. WOW!! This place is being run by unprofessional, uneducated and incompetent employees. Let me tell you about how this restaurant ruined a 2 year old's birthday party. I booked the party room at this venue well in advance. I was advised that it was open from 1pm until 4pm on the Saturday I wanted and so I went ahead and booked those hours. The day before the party, as was planned, my mother in law went to this location and dropped off our deposit for the room. She confirmed everything while there, and meanwhile we all got ready to enjoy a great party for my 2 year old son with all our family and friends in attendance. As soon as we walked in we could see that the room was already occupied by a large party. I tried not to expect the worst...perhaps it was an earlier party that was just a little late getting out of the room. When I walked up to the counter I asked what was going on...I had booked the room for this time, when would the other people leave? "It looks like we double booked. I can give you your deposit for the room back and some coupons," she said in a bored voice. After I picked my jaw up from off the floor I sputtered, "Can I speak to a manager?" "I'm the manager," she said in the same bored tone, her face expressionless. "Then I'd like to talk to the owner," I said, as my shock began to give way to anger. "The owners aren't in. I have no idea when they will be back. Maybe later tonight. Do you want these coupons?" "No. I'd like free pizza for my trouble. You guys screwed up. We don't have the room that we booked well in advance. I understand that mistakes can be made, but you offering me the same coupons I brought myself does absolutely nothing for my inconvenience." At that point another woman walked up and identified herself as the owner. Strange, how the owner that wasn't there and no one had any idea when they would get there would suddenly, magically appear. As it turned out later...no, this was not the owner. This was the daughter of the owner. And still, the *only* things we were offered were our deposit (for the room we didn't get to use) back and some coupons (we already had the same exact coupons they offered). The absolute worst part of the whole thing was the owner's daughter. She practically smirked as she told me "sorry, there's nothing else I can do" over and over again. Again, I understand that mistakes can be made...but it's how you make up for your mistakes that count. I have a hard time believing that they couldn't offer 1 free pizza after such a horrible mistake. The attitudes of the management team were absolutely unacceptable. The employees were friendly if a little dim. I had to go up and ask for plates for our party every time they brought out a new pizza. This was the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant, ever. It is worth noting that I still have not spoken to the owners or corporate headquarters. I will update this review with their actions / inactions as soon as possible. In the meantime...remember a sweet 2 year old boy who's birthday part was ruined and was basically laughed at by staff if you EVER think of patronizing this business. ****UPDATE**** 03/29/14 - I've called this establishment every day in the week since this occurred and every time I've called I've been told the owner was not there, had just left, or would be in later...or staff doesn't know when he will be in. I've left several messages and never heard back. I doubt this person is remotely interested in making this right. **MOUNTAIN MIKE'S CORPORATE WAS AMAZING.
