For a taphouse, the beer selection was pretty underwhelming. The service was fine, except for one hiccup. I'm pretty sure I was served the wrong beer by mistake, as my beer tasted like mango when it should've been a dark ale that I've had before. When I confronted the waitress, she assured me I was imagining things and I was stuck drinking the contaminated beer. My main concern is that the bartender may be making unacceptable mistakes. Since the prices are high, I'm setting my standards to match. The pork belly appetizer was chewy and the fried wontons were stale. The fish and chips tasted like old oil and the fish was tough since it was overcooked and probably frozen. They were closer to fish sticks than fish and chips. We stopped in after seeing a movie the service was slow but it wasn't a bother since we were chatting about the movie we just watched. I went here for lunch on a weekday with two friends and it was not busy at all. But despite that, the service was slow. I think there was just one waitress working. I got the minestrone soup (delicious ) and then asked for a simple grilled chicken breast with well steamed broccoli. Both were good and to my liking. My friend got the fish and chips and it was just one huge piece of breaded fish and the fries were super soggy. He didn't eat very much of it except for a bite or two. The last time that we had been to this place was when it was called Pete's Brewhouse (I think). A year or two ago. Anyway, we went here yesterday and we were glad that we chose this place. We came in between the traditional lunch and dinner seating times. The place was not too crowded so we were seated quickly. I wish I would have taken some pictures of our meals. The food came out pretty fast and was delicious. We had the Steak Sandwich and fries which was tasty and cooked to perfection. They have 24 beers on tap. 2 which are rotating, the cider and an IPA. I ordered the fish and chips. It arrived with house made coleslaw and the tartar sauce was missing. The bartender, provided the tartar sauce and sliced lemon when I asked for some. Visually, it looked really good. The fries were slightly over fried. The coleslaw has a heavy onion taste, I didn't like it. The fish was perfect, beer battered and crispy. The tartar sauce was too zesty, citrusy. Overall, I had a good experience. My plate was 6/10. I will say that the chef does know how to cook the chicken because it is juicy and tender. My family has chosen to get the BBQ Chicken Pizza, Garlic Chicken, and the Succulent Ribeye. FIRST OFF, GARLIC CHICKEN PIZZA IS SO DAMN GOOD. 10/10 If I were to recommend anything to get to anyone, it would definitely be the Garlic Chicken Pizza. It taste so hearty and flavorful. I wasn't a fan of the texture of the asparagus that it came with and it was awkwardly plated underneath the linguine. The linguine was flavorful but way too greasy and buttery for my liking. I was only able to take 3 bites before I started to feel gross. I would've enjoyed this a lot more if there was more acidity to cut through the richness because the lemon that came on top of my salmon as a garnish was super dry and wasn't helpful at all. ** Salad - My meal came with a side salad which was pretty filling. It had lettuce, black olives, garbanzo beans , and pinto beans?
