Horrible service. I ordered my absolute favorite pizza from what used to be my favorite pizza place. It's expensive but used to be worth it. So I got an offer online for $8.99 wings with any large pizza. So that's what I ordered and they would not give me the offer I have for being a member?? So what's the point of earning points and signing up for deals if they won't let me use them?? And the manager wouldn't help me out with that as I showed her the offers on my phone. I ended up leaving the wings and just taking the pizza. The fact that they would just throw wings away instead of letting me take them for the offer that I redeemed is crazy. We ordered two of their specialty pizzas, one pepperoni and one cheese for the kids. They give you paper plates, packaged cheese and pepper flakes. They have a small salad buffet. If you're looking for good customer service this is NOT the place to go. You're better off driving across town to get a better experience. Personally, customer service speaks volume especially when I can get the same pizza elsewhere. The owner (Mr. Kim) , manager (Lorena) and employees (especially Alexa) all have A LOT to be desired when it comes to customer service. I've NEVER had an owner make so many excuses for their lack of leadership like Mr. Kim did to my family & I. You would think Mr. Kim would've wanted to make the customer happy or content with their already bad experience, however, he continued to make excuses for their bad behavior. I will not be back to this establishment. I hope they get shut down permanently. I'm clearly NOT the only person they've pulled this crap on. All for SODA. That's insane to me that you'd rather lose customers than make it right, but that showed me all I needed about Mr. Kim and he's clearly all in the business for money only. Still looking for that perfect slice of pizza heaven in Salinas we decided to forego the national chain pizzas and try a regional chain. I last had Mountain Mike's when I waa poor young Stagehand and they had an all-you-can-eat buffet at lunch time. 40 years ago I was much more of a quantity over quality kind of guy so I loved it. As I got older (and fatter) quality became more important so I came to this visit with different expectations. The outlet I chose is the closest pizza to our house, in a strip mall but surprisingly spacious and welcoming. They still offer the weekday buffet, too. We ordered a Pike's Peak all meat pie with white sauce and it was just great. The meats were plentiful and good, just a touch spicey, and the sauce balanced the toppings pretty well. There was enough cheese, but it might-could have used a little more. The crust wasn't crispy, foldable like the best NY styles, but it was crispy and not burnt (unlike the national competitor). Overall it was better than the national chain we tried, but it's not as good as East Coast pie. 7/10, will probably be back when the pizza mood strikes. read more

Not the friendliest customer service at all. Ordered online and decided to eat it there with my family. Wanted to purchase a 2-liter soda and originally told I'd have to buy the cups separately. Then when I wanted to just buy the soda I was told I couldn't open it inside the restaurant due to it being "to-go only". Absolutely nowhere on the menu does it say it is for to-go only. It didn't make sense at all and they were not polite about it at all. Also, the place is full of flies and they have better specials in-store than online, which is really deceiving. A staple for me growing up and just right within walking distance of my house, I was always up in Mountain Mike's. Now that I only can get home to visit my parents once or twice a year, I have not had their pizza in ages so I decided to order their famous vegetarian pizza for delivery. Can I just say, AWESOME? First of all, they load up this pizza with the freshest of vegetables all locally grown. We are talking olives, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and the most important ingredient: artichoke hearts! I am in heaven. The crust is not greasy or oily and just melts on your tongue. I have to say that Mountain Mike's is THE pizza spot to get the best tasting California-style pizza. You can't really go wrong. Also, at this location you can head over there for lunch, Monday-Friday for their all you can eat pizza and salad bar special for a mere $6.50 plus tax. This also includes all you can drink soda. Again, their salad bar is exceptional and has nothing but the freshest of ingredients. I was very impressed and for the price? Seriously? This cannot be passed up. For lunch they offer a special with all you can eat pizza and salad plus drink for a total of $7 including tax. An excellent deal to be sure, but I was really surprised by how good the pizza was. The secret is to order your pizza with several vegetable toppings. Instead of making for a heavy pizza, you will actually have a healthy and well balanced meal. It's been a long while since last I had Mountain Mike's. So when I found myself craving pizza on Super Bowl Sunday, and had a coupon to boot, I wandered on over here. Surprisingly, the place was empty. I mean EMPTY! Only the staff was there. Did I mention this was Super Bowl Sunday? I thought for sure they'd be busy taking orders, people waiting, etc. But nope. Kinda thought that might be a bad sign. Anyway when I walked in, the cashier was on (an obviously personal) phone call, and it took a minute or two for her to acknowledge me. After placing my order, there were problems with the cash register, and both she & another employee tried both registers a couple times before they were finally able to ring me up. Our Residence Inn is across the street and we picked up a couple of pizzas and mozzarella sticks and brought them back to our room. Their crust is not super thick, but a regular size of thickness you would expect from a pizza. Their cheese is not spread out thinly, it's spread out thickly! There are no cheese gaps where you can see the sauce underneath. The pepperoni has a little spice to it and it is yummy. The sticks were not very stretchy but I think that because we picked it up it doesn't contain well in a Styrofoam box; like fries. When we come back to visit we will eat here again. read more

We went in on a Friday night knowing that it would be busy...and yes it was very busy!! I love their chicken pizza, so ordered chicken club and pineapple chicken luau. It took a while to get our pizza, and my kids were getting impatient. However, when the pizza were served and took that first bite.....I knew it was worth the wait!! Good amount of juicy chicken topping per slice compared to other pizzeria. The difference of white suace in chicken club and the barbecue sauce pineapple pizza were quite distinct. The variety in taste was just joyful!! There salda bar was good qualty for the price.. considering that it is all you can eat! I did have to wait some more to get a refill on the macaroni. Overall ...the pizza is always great!! I would give a 5 star for the best tasting pizza, but gave one less ....hoping they would improve some on the service! read more

This place is the worst. Me and my bf came in after a long drive from Oregon on our way back to Los Angeles looking for a local pizza joint to check out. We picked this place since it seemed pretty decent and it was open on easter Sunday. Unfortunately we did not get to try their pizza being that the cashier forgot to place our order in. After 25 minutes of waiting my bf politely asked how much longer will it be until the pizza is ready. The girl then proceeded to write down our order on her hand and went to the kitchen to place the order, or so we thought. 10 minutes later we over hear her telling the kitchen staff what toppings are supposed to go on our pizza. It was ridiculous. The girl literally had one job and she fucked it up. The restaurant was practically empty so there's no reason to why there should've been any miscommunication or a lag for that matter. We ended up getting our money back, with no apology from the girl on the counter or the manager. This is one place I hope no one invests time or money into. read more
