My favorite pizza out of our order was BBQ chicken. Regular dough is so good that family members that usually don't finish pizza crusts ate them. The pizza verde was salty from pesto so I think I should have gotten the Pesto no. 1 for the artichoke hearts instead of chicken. Their special was pepperoni and that's what took the average down, because there is nothing gourmet about it (could have been extra with the addition of fennel, for example). Delicious Pizza.. I personally recommend the creamy pie. Their combo is also a favorite. Pizza was good, however the service needs to improve more on their customer services. We were basically kicked out of the pool table area in the middle of playing a game by one of the girls up front, after we paid for 2 hours and still were told to leave immediately even though we had time left still to play. I have never had to deal with this place before and I guarentee I will never call again, I will show up again if there is another issue. The manager was very nice, humble and took complete accountability for the error on their end. I want to make sure that I make that very clear, he apologized and made us the correct order at the end of the day! Not many businesses will do that, especially during inflation. As far as the rude encounter I had with the person over the phone who described herself as "the kitchen worker", I was not at all impressed as she was arrogant, kept saying, "what was that?" after I said anything, and when I asked for a manager, she kept avoided my si,pel reqiest. I explained that we received the wrong order and she was obviously not wanting to help me. Once I realized I was not getting anywhere with her, I asked for the supervisor/ manager. I demnaded the manager and then a very kind gentleman quickly took over the comversation and identified himself as the manager of California Gourmet PIzza. I explained that they had given us the wrong order, he immediatley aplogized and told us that we could come back and get our cash refund. We got there and the manager met us at the front door and let us in. He gave us the cash refund and he had actually provided us with out correct order. I was extremely suprised as we were not expecting to get our order at all. It was freshly made and I thanked him over and beyond for making it right. This is the way that it should be and I was grateful!! At the end of the day we were blessed with our complete order and we were refunded the cash. No owner would do this, not in my experince. That day this pizza place lost money, could have lost a valued customer, and the workers had to labor in making another order. This all could have been prevented if they had checked the order prior, I realize they get busy but if you stay thorough then you never have to worry if you get anything wrong. I was so impressed with the manager, I will order again because he completely made it right. I also explained to him my complaint about the rude kitchen worker. Honestly, some people eat in n out every road trip others (me) eat the real deal which is pizza. This place has the best pizza I've ever had, and I eat a lot of pizza. It's all about the white garlic sauce on the white creamy pie!! Not to short the other options though. I've eaten here a dozen times and can attest all the pizzas are great!! I've had some of there other items as well for when your not feeling pizza. Carne Asda fries are legit!! Place has a very nostalgic feeling from pizza joints of my child hood, aka salad bars, and arcade. Arcade would be a good mid trip activity for any families, not gonna lie I may have played a game or two. It's a good spot to stop and it's always filled with locals so it might be popular! California Gourmet Pizza Rescues Soccer Fanatic Tourists! That would've been the appropriate headline in the local paper if they were to print our experience! We arrived in Soledad to spend a few days hiking up and down the many trails in Pinnacles National Park. What we had forgotten, albeit temporarily, that our favorite soccer team had a game the following day. Desperately looking for a place were we could watch the match, someone suggested California Gourmet Pizza. The first person I ran into when we got there was a very nice gentleman who I later found out was the owner/operator. He assured us that they would have the match on TV and all we had to do was show up! The place was VERY spacey and divided into roughly three sections, the Pizza Parlor, the Bar and the arcade. There were TVs all over in the Bar and in the area outside of the bar where the Pizza counter was. It was Sunday around 11:30 am, and the hardcore sports fans were in the bar watching NFL playoffs (although one TV had the soccer match on). We decided to sit outside and the CGP folks kindly switched one of the TVs to the channel we wanted. We ordered a couple draft beers and buffalo wings and put our game faces on! The beer was cold and good, and the wings were tender and tasty. Unfortunately we did not get to try the pizza, but by the look of the slices and pies that were going to other guests, they looked great. If you ever go to Soledad and feel like cold beer and pizza, California Gourmet Pizza is the place to go. read more

I ordered a calzone for pickup.. it was visibly under cooked.. the dough was visibly raw.. good thing I checked before I drove home.. they offered to make a new one however I had already waited long enough.. got a refund to which I have to wait 3 days to receive. this is not the first time I have food issues with this location.. definitely deserves a visit from the food health and safety inspectors soon! read more

MY FAVORITE PIZZA PLACE EVER. I don't even live close and it's worth the drive! (We always stop there anytime we drive North the 101 though, like always make a point to stop.) Rip off and price gouging. Here local our institution orders pizza all the time, we are employed with over 7000 employees and 100s of supervisor and managers. Every time we order from here, the prices are higher than any other pizza place in area. Also to add the sizes are smaller than they say. If you order measure as I did you will see the sizes are not really as advertised. Also they skimp out on toppings, and the toppings actually come in 1-2 inches from outside of crust. If you're looking for consistent, this is NOT the place. Check your order before you leave the restaurant, and if you order through Grub Hub call to see if they received the order (which defeats the purpose of using the app). This place is at a 50-60% accuracy rate. I usually get a large or extra large Kona thin crust pizza. Today's order is what broke the camel's back. I received a medium when I ordered (on the phone) and got charged (in person) for a large. The cashier had the nerve to say that the pizza that was given to me was a medium. When she finally acknowledged that the wrong size was made she provided a refund. (Kudos for that. ) Also, I can't believe almonds is listed as a topping; there was literally 12 almond slivers on the whole pizza, what a joke.
