Chicago dog tastes NOTHING like a real Chicago dog. It's supposed to be made with Vienna beef polish sausage. You guys make them with a regular tiny hot dog sausage and you put way too much celery salt, tastes more like a celery dog. I bought a couple the other day thinking I was going to enjoy some good Chicago dogs and I was very disappointed. It's really a shame when you go to Wienerschnitzel drive 30 minutes to get there to have a root beer float and the nostalgic feeling you get plus the beautiful drive on the way there to only get there and have the people in the window. See you laughing and dancing in the car because you know they have cameras and just want to ruin your day by giving you a root beer float, that only has hardly a scoop of ice cream and the whole entire big drink is filled with root beer. I went this evening with coupons we received in the mail. While ordering, the girl taking my order was very short and rude rushing me to order. After placing the order, I realized we forgot to order a chili cheese dog. I pulled up and handed her all my coupons and asked if she could add a chili dog to my order. She responded with, I have your order already and made me wait a few more minutes while she was training someone. The 2 stars is for the service. Denise wasnt the brightest. And kind of rude. I asked fr the chili lovers combo(Burger, fires and dog). This is the worst Wienerschnitzel. Yesterday, I was in drive thru and waited 20 minutes...no one acknowledged me at the order box and the car ahead of me was always getting their food. I decided to pull up when the car ahead of me drove away. I pulled up and the girl at the window finally acciónele ledger when I said I wasn't able to place my order and her reply was, " yea, im sorry, im the only one here and i am taking care of in house and the drive thru and you will have to drive back around and order at the speaker". I was livid and shocked. Why couldn't she just take my order at the window which was just a corn dog and a root beer float? I was very rudely treated tonight. I went through the drive through line and ordered a bunch of food. Four items were chili cheese dogs. I ordered two with onions and two without. When I got my food, I glanced at the receipt and saw that all four chili dogs had onions. I asked the girl at the window if I could get the two I wanted without onions. She said it was too bad, they were made already and that if I wanted the two without onions, I would have to go back through the drive thru line, following three cars, and order and pay for them again. Since I had a child at home expecting the onionless chili dogs, I had to do that. I asked the girl for her name multiple times, but she just shut the window on me and walked away. I always take my father in law to the Salinas location when he has a Dr. Appt in Salinas. Today was no exception, although I thought twice after my last experience but he loved it, sooo. We ordered 3 chili cheese dogs and an order of jalapeño poppers and a couple drinks. Our order took a little long but that's ok I knew it would be fresh. As we drove away I grabbed a popper and bit into it. It was a mini corn dog! I put my car in reverse and called the "lady". Told her about the mishap with 1/2 the corn dog in my mouth. She told me to give her the corn dogs back and she'd get me some poppers. Okayyy...so we waited another 5 minutes and got our poppers. Looked in the bag and there weren't any napkins..again. I called her back and I could tell she was irritated but I needed some napkins. So she handed me some napkins and slammed the window after I told her that if you screw up an order and the customer has to come back and remind you to give them napkins...let 'em keep the damn mini corn dogs. You're not gonna eat them! I already touched em! The last time I went I needed a fork, I asked at the window and the dude said he put one in the bag..drove off and noo fork! I love this place!! On my days off of work, my family and I enjoy driving to this Weinerschnitzel on the south side of town. The drive-thru is quick and their top-notch employees serve yummy hotdogs, milkshakes, and burgers, etc. I know hotdogs are their specialty but you have to try their cones and milkshakes :-) By the way, their milkshakes come with an extra thick straw so you don't have to wait for the drink to melt a little to enjoy it! My family wanted to give a special kudos to their two favorite employees there... Christabel and Karizma. Thank you guys for the fast, courteous and friendly customer service. Location is pretty good & convenient. I love that there is always enough parking during the week. The only one I know of near by because I've only lived in Salinas for a month now. Usually for this place when I want something last minute, other than that I'll go down south main if I have the time. Few things I don't really feel too comfortable about it, the floors are too a bit exposed. This place really need to come by some renovations maybe. The service here is less than average as well, unless you work nearby they'll give you a bit of a good welcome. The restroom is not so great either. Always feel like I need to use proper gloves to use anything there. Regardless of my review, I'm sure I'll be back. But I won't be sad if they get rid of this place for some reason. read more

Encountered the most rude and unprofessional employee tonight when picking up shakes in drive thru. I had ordered 2 chocolate shakes & 1 vanilla. After I paid the lady she handed me my shakes. I asked which was chocolate and which vanilla, and she kept saying "huh? huh?". If you want to have a good meal from Wienerschnitzel please beware when you order from Grubhub. My family ordered Wienerschnitzel through Grubhub today and had a very horrible experience with them. When we ordered the food we thought it would be easy as pie and have a nice dinner. Minutes later Grubhub delivered our Wienerschnitzel order and we were in for a terrible shock as we discovered our order was messed up and we found instead of the two orders of french fries we ordered only one order of french fries showed up and we were so mad about this. And also our food arrived late and resulted in our hot dogs being cold as well. And they also messed up my mom and dad's hot dogs and Mom's hot dog was missing onions and Dad's hot dog had little relish. And this is the third time we have gotten a Wienerschnitzel order that has been messed up and given cold hot dogs each time. I've been there twice and second time around I asked for my receipt and noticed it was rung as ala carte instead of combo as it should. The price for #1 , two chili cheese dogs, small fry and small drink for $7+. They charged me $9.06. Even with tax, it shouldn't be less than $9.06. I asked why it was more than what posted, the girl said she didn't know and she said the combo was $8.30 and I said that isn't what's on the menu. She looked lost. Food was mediocre. I enjoyed the mustard hotdog and the sauerkraut hotdog. French fries were delicious. These are low cost items on the menu and I recommend purchasing these two hotdogs.
