This place is incredible! Honestly I think it's the best curated vintage store I have ever been in. The vibe is so cool. You feel like you've been transported back to someone's vibed out basement or living room in the 70's. They even have a little jewelry making station. And all the accessories, clothes and items they carry are one of a kind and in great condition. Every corner is its own masterpiece. ALSO! The store owner is a gem and literally opened the store back up for us when it was closed. Not only are the pieces beautiful and rad, but it's also reasonably priced. Definitely something for everyone. I got a cropped jean jacket with metal circles with beads on it, that looked like it was straight out of an 80's film, in incredible condition. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Evan And Reese provided my friends and I excellent service as we attended this voyage shop. They were so accommodating as we arrived within 20 minutes of it closing. We were all left in amazement at the items they had in the shops from records, to clothing, furniture and so much more! We enjoyed it so much that we plan to come back tomorrow so we can have more time as there is so much to explore!!

Mountain Mod is a jewel going through BBL. We were impressed at the vintage pieces and often finding items reminiscent of growing up through the 70s and 80s - remembering glassware from grandmas house, mom's fondue pot and my older sister's roller skates... the store has a wide variety even through it's on the smaller side. From our time there, we can attest to quality pieces and in great condition of fixtures, kitchen wear, furniture. It's not a 'thrift store' with bargain basement pricing but worth the stop for special pieces, unique gifting and finding something fun (checkout games/clothing in the backroom). The service was friendly and answered our questions. Great family run business in for a stop (probably not if you have littles with you). We left with a vintage makeup mirror our teen is thrilled with having on her vanity, a new treasure for her!

Super cool vintage store! I really loved looking around here because they had an array of vintage furniture, records, posters, books, movies and clothing! I ended up getting a cute vintage tee for only $12. Super affordable prices and great customer service! Will definitely come back next time I visit big bear

There are always other misc craft supplies, too. - tools are vetted before being put out for sale, and the one time I brought a drill home that didn't work Dove's very kindly gave me store credit, which I promptly used to grab a different drill that did - Dove's will deliver furniture and other large items for a very reasonable fee, and even place it where you want it in your house - local's discount day every week - sales support the local women and children's shelter

One of the rooms could easily be made into a baby item room, they have tools protected instead of the baby play mats, strollers, high chairs, and car seats. It is all sun rotted and has been damaged by rain. They have so many great items for children and babies that have all continued to sit and be damaged. They have a whole room of dishes that could be easily be rearranged to one side of the room, the layout and baby/children items needs to be redone, not thrown out as if they are less important than dishes. They are also selling diapers at an insane markup. The brand baby2baby diapers are diapers that are distributed at diaper drives and their mission is for them to always be free, not to be sold and especially priced at 8-15 dollars. The diapers have sadly been thrown on a shelf outside and have lost its value by rain and just by being kept outside.

What a gem to find such a small thrift store, but Big Bear Valley Hummingbird project is not…read moresomething you see out of Big Bear Blvd., named as such since the signage outside is not easy to read. I am so glad that I dropped in, and honestly I could have been here for awhile. The minute you enter, there are tons of clothing, but when looking for specific items that are antiques (ish) then you are in for a treat. People might think the thrift store is not organized but honestly they all have the same look to me & the scent of old bookstores/garage smell. But when I am in the mood to look for old cast iron objects specially old soap dishes, or anything that appears retro, this place has them. And the man who was helping me was quite nice and lucky me 50% off as it was labor day special. And I liked another item, that I came back to purchase the Native American Headdress (war bonnet). I was lucky it was still there because it caught my attention, hesitant because it is definitely an honor to find it and my hands drew me to the item when I was purchasing a cast iron bird/fountain. Also awhile back I did come down a few years ago and a lady who worked there was giving us free books. Also showing off the items that I was happy with! I went to Doves and the Fun Stuff thrift store and could not find anything remotely close to what I found at Hummingbird. There was also Mountain Mod and that place was cool but only if you want to spend $25-maybe even $500+ for things that probably can be found in estate sales. Definitely checking out Hummingbird on my next trip!
