Sharon, how could you say that you came back twice, mountain roofing Did Not come bck and offer to finish repair and the job that shows on pics looks exactly the same with the the rock they got from my yard in the same spot your guys put it. You put nails in my roof to hold the tarp down, and now I'll have holes in my roof wwhere the nails were put. It was a bad job for 495.oo dollars. Awful. Do not hire this company our landlord hired them last season to tear off old asbestos roof and replace with new one. The new roof looked good but there was old JUNKS and chips all over the back Parking lot and front yard of the old asbestos roof! I tried to bring this to the attention of the "forman" but he did not speak English and come to find out no one on the crew did enough to effectivly communicate. So after they were complete done and left I waited a couple of days and called Mountain Roofing. The receptionist had a short attitude but the OWNER came over I talked to him showed him all the way around the house that was littered with pieces upto 4" and countless smaller pieces. He picked a couple of the larger junks up carried them around a bit cussed threw the junks back in the yard and drove off in his fancy truck and we never heard from anyone from Mountain again. Im writing this review now because Im still finding junks while cleaning my cooler for summer this year. Anyone else has got to be better then this company at least they might not be so rude and disrespectful! read more

In the winter of 2021, after just recovering from the Caldor fire evacuations, our newly purchased home experienced a partial roof truss collapse due to the weight of ice and snow. As a result, there was an insurance claim filed and an estimate for repairs provided by the Carrier. In order to do our due diligence, we received estimates from many local and regional roofers who were interested in the work. After whittling it down to 3 companies (Mountain, American Eagle and Nail It!), we decided to go with Mountain - because they were local and they had the Owens-Corning system and color that we wanted for the new truss system. We were very impressed with Sean and Melissa - at how attentive to detail they were to all of our questions and technical needs, as well as the communication about demolition dates, roof loading dates and installation. Due to the fact that we had to coordinate with the general contractor on rolling the new trusses, installing sheathing and County inspections - all before they loaded the roof in preparation for the installation , my phone calls and text messages with Sean and the office staff were constant. But they answered all of the questions, worked with our availability and readiness dates and were very understanding about the whole situation. Above all, what stands out to me is the integrity of Sean and his staff when something went awry and something was inadvertently damaged in the course of demolition. He (Sean) immediately responded with care and concern and didn't make excuses for the error. Instead, he corrected the matter and we moved on with the project. Most other companies would make excuses and/or try to avoid the responsibility - which shows lack of character and integrity. Not Mountain Roofing Systems. They are rock stars and I'm so happy that we chose their product and crews to complete the work on the house. Twelve years ago, Mountain Roofing installed our standing seam metal roof. At some point the roof developed a small but persistent leak. Initially the leak was hard to detect because the underside of the roof was insulated with blown foam which absorbed and held the leaked water like a sponge. When the leak became apparent, they agreed after inspection that an installation defect had allowed the leak to occur. Mountain Roofing replaced / repaired damaged material, coordinated with the original foam installer to replace damaged insulation, replaced metal roofing and arranged for some warped flooring to be repaired without cost to us. Mountain Roofing immediately installed plastic sheeting over the open area when rain became a threat, until insulation could be fixed and roof repairs completed. They kept us informed of progress, promptly responded to my questions and were always pleasant to deal with. They fixed our problem without any hesitation, finger pointing or other foot dragging. There are so many aspects to getting a roof. Somethings with Mountain roofing were 3 stars, others were 5 stars. I liked the no nonsense estimate. Sean just showed up and quickly did the estimate. Other companies I called wasted my time with a slide show and slick salesmanship. I got conflicting info from different companies. I called the tile manufacturer to see which company was accurate and they told me the same thing Mountain Roofing did. Meaning Mountain was giving accurate info and the other big name company was not. Mountain roofing did the roof when they said they would and finished on time. They were all professional, friendly, and courteous. They were great about protecting my plants during tear off. They also did not charge me extra for a new board I needed and they could have. I often did not get texts back from Sean, but when I called the office they were always helpful. The only bad thing was for some strange reason they didn't cover my deck during the process and now it's got tiny gummy raised black spots ALL over it. They do not come off with a hose or broom. There are WAY to many to scrap off. I called and was told Sean would come look at it but so far he hasn't. I will have to hire someone to come see if they can come get the guck off, and am not happy about having to pay for that. The gummy stuff on the deck is getting tracked into the house and onto my carpet so I don't want to keep waiting for Sean to come by. I'm NOT happy about them not covering the deck or coming by to tell me what that stuff is!! But I am happy with the roof, employees, and everything else overall. read more

All the detail work incomplete and I have to do it myself lest I leave the untreated wood exposed. I have a cabin near Strawberry on highway 50. During the winter my cabin roof took a beating during a storm. I can not get to my cabin during the winter so I didn't find out about it till spring. Donnie and crew did an excellent job replacing my roof on a steep and complicated Victorian multi-story house in Fairplay. Matched portion of roof that was newer in great fashion. Great cleanup every day, and took care of all the roof penetrations. Installed gutter guards on my shop and barn, using a better product than what I had suggested. I did want to take the time to update my previous yelp review. Upon a long conversation with Donnie he did explain to me the situation with the notice I received. I felt better that he took the time to explain it and I understood it with more clarity. Since that time we've also had a couple of severe leaks in our skylights. When I contacted Mountain Roofing Systems they had someone out within two hours to tarp them and help with some of the water intrusion. Because of our past miscommunication and circumstances Donnie had the new skylights installed and didn't charge us labor which was appreciated. read more

It's funny to see all these 5 star comments and how one person even said they were "First Class Job and First Class People" No they are not. First of all I need you all to know they are NOT bird people they threw a few nests they found in the roof like it was trash others were left in the roof and the exit was blocked so they couldn't exit and they could be heard chirping for two days when they were told they said they would look but never did. So the birds were silent, and we all know what that means. Then they put some kind of paper on the roof so it wouldn't get wet, only a few things 1) they didn't cover the whole roof, some parts didn't even get covered at all. 2) some places weren't nailed down all the way So as you can guess some of the roofs leaked and worse some caved in and in some areas a man came through. They had someone come and look at the damage in the ceiling but they didn't do anything about the wood damage. FYI they didn't replace the attic insulation. Anything they break they say "it was like that, we didn't do it" They did put new gutters but as I look at them I'm wondering how is the water going to drain since there were no downspout to drain so when it rains the water will have no place to drain and will end up breaking and someone is going to get hurt. read more
