Regret. Communication was very poor, project manager came by once and called once. We had to call 3 other people to get answers. I just can't say I could work away with pride on this project, and be happy about checking the project off the list. They were sloppy and I had to call to get things done correctly. I don't know where to begin , I shop and I look for a roofing company , I spoke to JoE , he sound great over the phone , when he text my husband Jason he said okay LEE like that was a red flag already , but we didn't mind .. Like whatever .! Let's be straight forward , they help us with free gutters and changed the old wood here and their but didn't paint it . if your going to help do it all the way not i help u and just want free things "" joe said . that's not my night made it got worse .. I had an electrical wire attached to my roof . They removed it and tied a Red String , "" joe said i told your husband to call Edison . Evergold Construction did 2 bathroom remodels for us. We have no complaints with the actual workers. We did and do have issues with company management and their overcharge/payment issues. Hope our experience will help you avoid the same headaches. 1. Evergold management and accounting will try to overcharge you. They even invented new terms to try to charge us close to $5,000 over the contract price. We fought off the majority of the overcharges but still ended up paying unauthorized charges over contract amount. Lesson: Sign the contract with an attorney's eyes and don't take their word for any overcharges. 2. We made a mistake by paying them before everything was done. Oleg, one of the owners, told us in person that they were not going anywhere and they would take care of things when he took the payment. We since texted 3 different times to Oleg and Jonah within a week's time. Zero response. They are not going to finish our project since they have the payment. Our bathroom still hasn't passed final City inspection because they would not do the final work. Lesson: Don't pay until all is done. Once they get the payment, they would not communicate with you or do any of the work. 3. Communication issue: Many times, they would not notify you when they decide not to show up to work according to schedule. Wasting our time. Again, we acknowledge that the workers worked hard, so it's sad to see their management and accounting damage their own reputation. I recommend roofers Evergold Construction, principal Oleg I. Yemchuk. Focused. My home insurer notified me that it would not renew my policy unless I replaced the roof. First, I hired Evergold to inspect my roof and render a third-party opinion by licensed roofer to submit to my insurance company. Evergold understood my urgency - and upset - and conducted the inspection promptly. Trust-worthy. Evergold videoed all aspects of the roof, not just the shingles but chimney/vent ducts, rim, etc. It showed the video shots together with cogent explanation describing what was damaged and how it should be fixed. He did not push service, but personally presented a polished and thorough presentation on Evergold's history, experience, scope-of service, and reviews. Knowledgeable. Other roofers I consulted did not know or could not explain the legal requirements in the City Code and the reasons behind them. Olge also explained qualities and characteristics of differing shingles and different scopes of work, including the shortcuts some roofers might take. Responsive. Mindful of my insurance dilemma, on the same day as the inspection, it forwarded the roofing contract, including scope of services and material specifications to my insurer to assure it that remediation was in progress. It conducted triage - beginning work on a Saturday and finishing within finished in two days. Oleg himself pitched in with his workers to speed the repairs. Trained workers. The workers attend training sessions from the shingle manufacturer to assure that they install the shingles in conformance with the warranty . . . and City Code requirements. Passed Permit inspection. I received the finished, approved, permitted work the same week and Evergold itself sent a copy to my insurer. Warrantied work and materials. If you want a hassle free, no surprise roof replacement from a company that takes pride in their work DO NOT HIRE Evergold Construction. I contracted with Evergold for a complete roof replacement (standard GAF shingles) with fine mesh gutter guards and the Golden Pledge warranty for $31,500. When asked Conner the salesman confirmed that the crews are employees of Evergold and not sub-contractors (I found out later that is not true) Several months and 2 reschedules later I was happy to have the project underway. Bright and early the crew arrived and started removing the old roof. About 10A.M. I get a text from Oleg (the owner) stating that the whole roof might need to be re-decked because the existing slats would not pass inspection. By this time most of the roof had been removed. A short while later he came by and informed me that the roof indeed needed to be re-decked with plywood. He offered me a discounted price of an additional $14,000. I was in total shock! I asked why didn't they just look in attic before giving me an estimate or at the very least stop tearing off my roof when they suspected a large additional cost. No good answers. What could I do at this point? Under duress I agreed to an additional $10,000, almost a 33% increase from the original estimate. The next day the re-decking was completed and ready for new shingles. A crew got to work and throughout the day a steady stream of plastic shingle wrappers, empty drink bottles and cans, pieces of wood and scrap shingles, shards of metal and various other items rained from the roof all over the yard all around the house. At the end of the day the crew did clean up most of the mess and left my home after dark around 9 P.M. The following day the city inspector came by for a final inspection and found a number of items that needed correction. I spoke with Oleg and went over the items that the inspector found and a number of non-code items that I wanted addressed. He assured me his foreman (a sub-contractor) would take care of everything. The next day his foreman, Edelmar came by and worked on the roof I pointed out a couple of areas that I had concerns (very sloppy work joining metal valleys, looked like a kid took a hammer to them) but he stated that he has been in the roofing business for 25 years and that was the proper installation and was not concerned about the workmanship. While we were still talking a different city inspector came by for the final sign off. As he was checking off the items from the previous inspection, he noted that no correction was made to the aforementioned valley metal. The inspector stated that the roof would not pass inspection until correction was made. Having little confidence in Evergold I got on the roof with a hose to check for proper runoff. I'm glad I did. Ninety percent of the water skipped right off the roof bypassing the gutters. Edelmar told me that the problem was that when the roof was re-decked it added 1/2 inch to the height and now my gutters are too low! I asked him why the gutters were not adjusted and all I got was a shrug. Five days later they show up again and make some more repairs on the roof. My fine mesh gutter guards were removed and replaced with large mesh gutter guards (a little better than nothing) and they installed some poorly crafted splash guards in the corners. The next day the inspector returns for Final inspection #3. The roof passed. Over all a really bad experience. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this business. read more

Evergold installed a new GAF roof, gutters and windows. I originally was looking to just get my roof done as it wasn't going to make it through another winter. I met with Conner who was their sales rep and he took the time to bring out samples of the roof and explain the different GAF products they use. Although Everygold wasn't the cheapest quote the reason I decided to go with them was because compared to other companies Conner was the only rep who actually walked the property to provide the best estimate. I had a rep from another company come out and they already had a quote without even looking at the property and even though their quote was hundreds less they left it open to say "Any issues they find after teardown they charge X per sqft". That could easily have added thousands to what seemed like a lower bid since it's a big unknown. I decided to also go with new windows as the windows were original from the 80's and weren't as energy efficient as newer windows. Overall the quality of the work is great. The roof looks good, windows keep out more of the road noise and gutters look great. It took just over a month for Everygold to start the work and it was done in 3-4 days for everything. The crews are efficient and know their stuff so no surprise came up from the original quote. Roof looks great and I like that they installed all the attic vents on the back side of the roof so the roof from the street looks much cleaner compared to homes on the street with new roofs done by other companies that installed their vents on the front. It wasn't an issue for me as it still worked out but if you are looking to get windows and want your opening to either match your existing windows or want them changed let them know before they order them and make sure they note it on the work order. I didn't think I needed to state I wanted new windows to match the existing but the person who came out to take measurements didn't match the existing openings. The sliders which were originally right opening changed to be left opening. Lucky it still works with the layout of the home but that would have been great to either have them match or confirm with the customer before ordering. There was a mixup for one window and that took a while to get replaced but I appreciated that Evergold made it right and installed the opening window I originally requested for the garage. read more

One of the owners(Oleg) came out to my home to inspect my roof, he told me there's probably 3-5 years left on my roof; however, at my age I prefer to not deal with this later. I decided to get it done. They scheduled the roof 2 weeks out, came out and the crew was nice, they cleaned up daily and pointed out some additional issues with the roof and fixed it. Gave me 18 months 0% plan which was great. There's a lot of bs out there, these guys are the real deal and definitely left me feeling warm and fuzzy. NEW HVAC SYSTEM IN APRIL 2025 Evergold Construction seems to have become our "go to" company for everything involving remodeling. Their price quotes have always been among the very best. (Yes, we quote every job!) Every project has been completed early - which in and of itself is remarkable! Each member of their various crews has been a pleasure to work, treating us, our pets, and our property with respect. After receiving numerous quotes to replace our 24-year-old HVAC system, along with the 45-year-old ductwork in our attic and all of the ceiling vents inside our house, we chose Evergold Energy, a division of Evergold Construction. We now have an incredibly energy-efficient 20 SEER Bosch electric heat pump system. Not only was Evergold's price amazing, but we're also going to have a nice write-off on this year's taxes because of the efficiency of this system. The Bosch is so QUIET - not just inside the house, but outside the house as well. The new thermostat can be as simple or as complicated as you want. Program it to do dozens of different temp changes during the day/week, check the weather on it, or make it as simple as you would like. The app on my phone allows me to turn the system on and off or adjust the temperature when were away from the house. This job was a messy one. The ancient ductwork in our attic crumbled at the touch, with pieces falling through the ceiling vents in every room. As usual with Evergold, the crew left our home spotless after the job was completed. Thank you to Oleg, Mark and the entire crew! NEW ROOF JANUARY 2025 After reviewing seven different quotes for a replacement roof with new gutters and downspouts back in the Fall of 2024, we chose Evergold Construction in Rancho Cordova. I hate writing bad reviews but I'm definitely going to make an exception here! * Lack of communication (Oleg, Mike, Marcus, Vic. Edelmar (aka Eddie) - We never knew if/when they were going to show up. Without notice, and on the 1st morning that they arrived, it was 7am and we were awakened and told to move our car out of the driveway. I had to do that in my PJs!!! Then they started yelling and whistling really loud at the poor driver that was trying to back a big trailer in. This is a Senior complex, and no one needs to be awakened with all that noise at that hour. Then, after all that drama, the entire crew laid down in various parts of the driveway and told me that they'd begin work at 8am! * If/when material for the project would be here and then when it FINALLY showed up, it was dumped in the middle of our driveway instead of under the awning on the front deck as requested. No one from Evergold was here for actual delivery! * All the smiles and "goodwill" will not make up for the "Supervisor" (Eddie's) unacceptable behavior (throwing away a "Dish" that was previously installed without notifying us); * Before the new roof was even installed a company came out and installed 3 small gutters that were improperly installed and would have caused major damage to existing front & rear awning overhangs. We paid for all new gutters and gutter guards to be installed around the entire house, which included proper downspouts. (NOTE: This has subsequently been remedied by an entirely different gutter company, Johny Rain Gutters, Inc...and they did a great job!! * A very important exhaust pipe from the water heater out to the roof was left disconnected for several days and could have caused serious injuries and possibly an explosion or death. * Rear deck awning overhang was damaged by metal roofing being dropped or tossed on top of it. * Decking material for rear awning overhang was literally tossed in the back yard, on top of plants where several of their crew managed to lay around and relax and break a decorative fountain and leave their empty water bottles laying all around while they waited for the "supervisor" of the job to go Home Depot to buy screws and other ancillary parts! * The job is still incomplete - Still no gutter guards and the French drain piping is still exposed and not put underground as agreed upon. I now have 7+ pages of notes as to why you don't want to ever use this company! This very expensive (metal roof & gutter system) project was started in August and it's still not complete. Unfortunately, they've been paid and now Olef won't return my calls or email. It's been one excuse after another, and we find this owner & crew totally unprofessional! Buyer Beware! I almost went with another company, but I wanted to keep my appointment with Evergold, because they were scheduled to come out a few hours after the first company, and I felt it was only fair to give Evergold a chance. Two young men arrived, and I was thinking they can't possibly have as much experience as the other guy, as he was older and had been in this field longer. I was thinking to myself that I will probably not have Evergold do the work, until Conner spoke, he had more knowledge then the other guy, and he brought the material's that they would be using, the other (more experienced guy did not have anything for me to look at) I had a ton of questions, but to my surprise Conner explained everything is such details that I had no questions to ask. I was thinking, when they leave I'm going to read their reviews, and maybe Conner read my mind, because he showed me their reviews. Conner, and his cousin Mikhail are very knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend them. They replaced my roof, installed gutter guards and painted. I will preface this by saying that I am sure Evergold does a good job the majority of the time. However, if things do not go well, they are a nightmare to deal and approach discussions with both aggression and dishonesty. We ended up dealing with one of the owners, Oleg Yemchuk, who was both dishonest, aggressive, and defensive throughout the whole process. I would NOT recommend this company if you are unable to get on the roof and assess the job yourself. We are a young family, and both work full-time so the amount of time/effort we had to put in for this roof to be completed to code and contractual obligation was NOT worth the cost. In addition, we lost income as we had to take off work on a few occasions to deal with this company throughout this process of them fixing their errors. I will describe the issues below, but I just want to add that Oleg nor Connor ever reached out to me throughout the process unless it was to demand money or insist we give a good review. Once I complained about the project and specifically how inappropriate some of the messages Connor sent were, he then would not stop texting/calling me to "reconcile" even when I asked him explicitly to stop. I ultimately had to block his number. - Oleg lied about putting eyes on the project on three separate occasions stating the job was complete and they were already sending guys to collect the money before even addressing our concerns. In addition, Connor had texted me asking for a dishonest review as they "fixed" the problems the text read: "Hey, could you leave us a nice review on Google :-) and leave out the bad parts because we fixed them lol ;-)" . I informed Oleg that I would not pay until he physically meets with us and addresses some of the concerns we have. Even though Evergold considered the job completed and it "fixed" the following issues were still discovered: the solar panel wiring was not up to code and touching the shingles which was a "big safety hazard" according to Oleg, the gutter guards we had agreed upon were not installed, they had covered a vent in the garage without replacing it without our permission/against our agreement, and there was still trash that was left over from the crew. If I wouldn't have insisted on having Oleg come and withheld payment there is no way he would have addressed the above issues, as my husband had to physically get on the roof with him to point out the issues. When we addressed this Oleg continuously lied in our face (luckily I had his own words in email/text to back it up) and smoke in an aggressive tone. - The roof was installed during a break in the storms, which made me nervous. Connor has re-assured us that they only complete one project at a time and that the weather would not be a concern. We understood that delays could happen, but our solar panels were left on the grass for two working that the workers did not show up to leading to them being demolished by the hail storm. When I contacted the company about this Oleg stated that they "prioritized another roof as they were trying to squeeze two roofs install". Once the solar panels were put back on they were soaked with mud and misaligned. FINALLY this was completed but unbeknownst to us, they were still not to code as described above. - The crew TRASHED our yard. I spend over 1 hour running around the neighborhood collecting cans, debris, oreo wrappers, and even shrimp tails??? that the crew left. We had a massive pile of trash that was left at my house for over 1 week that I had to continuously pick up after. It took me reaching out to the owner personally before the trash was ever addressed. - Safety issues: We have two babies and a dog, so safety was a big priority for us. The gate was left open at the end of the workday allowing the dog to escape. They also left an excessive amount of nails on the driveway, sidewalk, and back patio that we cleaned up ourselves. We were aware there might be leftovers, but there was an excessive amount if they actually used the magnet to pick up. When we expressed concerns over not being home the weekend the solar panels were getting fixed Oleg assured me that either him and the other co-owner would be present during this to ensure everything goes smoothly which was the only way we agreed as we did not want our dog out again. However, Oleg ultimately was dishonest as neither of them were present and the crew accessed the property against our agreement. - Lastly, they were dishonest when it came to the warranty and are still refusing to provide us with the warranty information. They gave us the exact same pricing as Cobex and Spartan and stated that their warranty matches Cobex in the 50 year workmanship, which was not accurate. They also were not at all transparent on the financing options and the price break down. IF you choose to go with Evergold I highly recommend being thorough during the contracting portion and also review the job yourself before ever. read more

We were very unhappy with one thing about the final product though, which went back to not being listened to. We had wind turbines in our old roof and were assured that they would be put back since we wanted that. But they were not. They were replaced by vents near the roof peak in spite of our objections! Now our attic storage area is incredibly hot and the house is not as cool as it was before. We didn't care about the reviews and ratings for vents versus turbines, we wanted our turbines put back as promised, but our wishes were ignored. I contacted the company for a new roof, and the start was great, Oleg helped work through everything to get the job started. The pains came when they were finishing up the workers threw trash in the pool,in the atrium and made no attempt to clean it up, broke the pipes for my pool solar and disconnected parts. They when reinstalling my solar panels a third of them were not connected to the system and now I will have an additional expense to have that repaired. I had some roof damage during the high wind storm on Sunday February 4th. The existing roof was a 25-year shingle and it had exceeded it's lifespan (26 years). I selected Evergold Construction. Oleg from Evergold came out on Wednesday, checked on the damage, gave me an estimate, and covered the problem area during heavy rain (only the Ridgecap was a problem). My roof work began on Monday, February 26 with a complete demolition and replacement with a 50-year GAF product. All work was completed on the 27th. The crew was excellent. The work was done quickly, and the area was cleaned up completely when done. I requested a few additional things done (like the patio roof in the back, that was not a part of the original quote), and they accommodated all requested changes. Wood rot on the patio roof was identified, removed and replaced. The cost was excellent. I totally recommend Evergold Construction! Especially since it is a local company.
