Overall, American Eagle Roofing was pretty good for our project. There were a few things that added up that made our experience a little less than stellar. About a year ago, I reached out about a potential leak, and Chris came out to assess the roof. He was incredibly honest and mentioned that he couldn't see anything that would lead to a leak. Still, he provided estimates for a partial fix, partial roof repair, and full roof repair. We ended up not needing the service but appreciated the honesty. Fast forward to this year, I reached back out to Chris for another potential leak, and he came out and assessed the situation again. This time, there were noticeable signs of leaks but nothing that was too concerning. He provided quotes for various options, and we felt comfortable moving forward with one of them. After this is where things started to not go as well as we thought. Once we signed the contract, we were issued an invoice for the deposit. As soon as I received it, I paid it the same day (almost within minutes of receiving it). Several days go by, and I don't hear back from the company to schedule our repair. I call the office, and for some odd reason, they cannot find confirmation that I had paid the deposit. I reassured the office that I had, as it was debited from my account, and I offered to forward the receipt and to have my bank verify that it was debited in the amount and to the correct vendor. They issued another invoice for the deposit as I was on the phone trying to dispute this, which was eventually cancelled, but it was a little annoying. After I forwarded the receipt, they scheduled our repair, so I assume they found the paid invoice. As someone who uses Quickbooks for business purposes, this is not something that's hard to track or find. So, I'm very surprised to have run into this situation. The morning of the scheduled repair, we received an email that said the crew would not be showing up. We were surprised because we did not receive prior notification that this was going to happen. My husband had scheduled his work week around this, so that he could be available for any questions or concerns. When we called the office, they said that they had called and left a voicemail, which we confirmed that we did not receive. They did, however, look back at their records and said they had misdialed and apologized. Again, for something that was last minute, we were annoyed again. On the day of the repair, Chris texted us, notifying us that we may be charged an extra $500 because their truck couldn't fit in our driveway. This was incredibly frustrating because that was not something he or the company mentioned would be an issue. In fact, Brad came out prior to install to inspect the old roof, measured our driveway, and even left his tape measure in the driveway! We called Chris and expressed our frustration at this, and he apologized and said they wouldn't charge us for this. If there were structural issues outside of what they initially found, I would understand, but when they clearly measured our driveway and left evidence of that and failed to notify us of this, that's a different story. Per the multiple project emails sent to us, there was to be a walkthrough and inspection from the crew's manager the day after they finished the roof installation to ensure the work was to our satisfaction. This did not happen, nor did anyone reach out to us to schedule this. Instead, we were immediately issued an invoice for the remainder. We had noticed several areas that looked very sloppy (I assumed this would be the case given the crew seemed very rushed by the end of the day and diminishing sunlight), so we called the office to have someone come out to walk through and inspect the finished work before we were willing to make our final payment. Brad came out and noticed the same issues that we had, and he took his time to get those areas fixed, which we appreciated. Overall, we are happy with a new roof. However, all of these little things made our experience not as great as we would've expected for the amount of money we invested. read more

One of the shadest businesses I've ever dealt with. They will go to all lengths and use kinds of fraudulant gimmicks to get away with bad worksmanship. American Eagle Roofing & Gutters aka Roof Geeks, Mr. Roof and Solar (These names are just SHELL COMPANIES owned by the same parent entity/company with multiple owners). They installed a NEW roofing system on our property in 2023. It started leaking in 2025. When we first contacted them for warranty repairs, they refused to honor the 5-year workmanship warranty, citing unpaid late fees. When we filed a claim with their Surety Bond, American Eagle Roofing then claimed the leak is not a leak, but a ventilation issue. Then later, they said they are no associated with the original contractor. They kept changing their stories from, "No Warranty due to Unpaid Balance" to "a Ventilation Issue" to "No Longer Associated with the Original Contractor." They have tried multiple tactics to avoid warranty. Cannot trust a company that behave this way. I cannot recommend this company enough! Friendly and professional, everyone I had contact with were great. When my family moved into our house, we already knew our roof would need to be redone and we hoped to get it to about 5 years post move in time. At year 4, our roof sprung a leak and so this was the first time AER came to the rescue. Chris Stohl got our repair coordinated quickly and efficiently but confirmed this was just buying 1 season. That next year we sprung a different leak but were just months away from it being the most perfect time financially. Chris came out and actually helped to tarp our roof to get us through the rain. Talk about above and beyond! I told him that we would do the roof that summer and he got a quote prepared. We did get some other quotes in the meantime and AER just was top to bottom better with warranty, materials and price point. We went with AER and they put our job on the exact week we needed. Megan and Rebecca coordinated the process the entire way. They were preparing us for all the expected noise, logistics and material delivery practically every day leading into the start day. When work got started, each inspector and crew member were polite and efficient. Our new roof went in perfectly to what we had expected. After project finish, there was a problem with dealing with the county office, through no fault of either us or AER (thanks former home owner from 20+ years ago). Rebecca and Megan did an awesome job communicating everything and thankfully the project wrapped up peacefully. We have a large & unusual building that needed a new roof after a tree fell on us during a winter storm. For many reasons, mostly related to fire prevention we chose to go with a standing seam metal roof. We spoke to at least 15 different roofers before selecting American Eagle to do the job. Many of them failed to answer our simple questions about standing seam roofs. We did a bit of online research before talking to anyone but are by no means experts. It was clear to us that many roofers out there do not know how to install standing seam metal roofs. Other roofers who knew them well simply refused the job as being too large & complex. These types of roofs can go terribly wrong if not installed correctly. It's particularly challenging with a complex roofline. American Eagle accepted the job. In addition they came in on time and only a tiny bit over the initial estimate. Plus, they were very easy to work with. The roof looks fantastic, too! It's a complex roofline with circular turrets that had to be custom-fitted. They made a model of this in their office before attempting it on our roof. The roof was clay tile before. It was beautiful but starting to look a bit shabby. The clay tiles had become a nice place for weeds to grow. I was still worried the metal roof would steal some character from the building. It didn't. The metal roof really cleaned up the overall look of the building. We're also far more fire safe without the weeds up there. Highly recommend! read more

The front desk ladies are rude. They won't communicate with you when they're supposed to and overly communicate when it's not necessary. We hired American eagle roofing and it was a nightmare. They created damage to our driveway and front exterior of our home. Our gutters have seams that create a water fountain during rainy season. To be fair, I'll start with the good. The crew did a decent job other than the wreck out crew that left nails all over the property. The finished product is quality and their scheduling was timely. Pricing was also pretty fair. My concerns start with their lack of communication, clerical errors and a few employee's professionalism. We received our quote for the roof in a timely manner. We requested an additional quote for a side project due to the roof being covered under insurance. I had to ask several times over the span of months for the side project quote. A week before construction, a manager had to come out to give the quote because the estimator was 100% not responding. We signed the contract for the side project. The day before construction begins, I get a call saying that the side project cannot be completed due to safety concerns about the structure. Fair enough, I'm not going to argue safety, but they had MONTHS to tell me this but kept quiet until the day before they arrived to replace the roof to tell me the news. Meanwhile, I could have spent that time finding another contractor to build a new structure for the side project but I now have to start over right before rain season. Not cool. Especially considering it seemed convenient for them to tell me this at the point where I had no choice but to use them for the roof probably knowing the whole time they would not complete the other project. Once the roof was completed, I received a call to come down and pay the remainder of the bill. I had to point out to them that they forgot to install gutter guards that were in the contract. Foreman had no idea he was supposed to install them and the office tried to argue until I had to point out the line item in the contract. Considering all of this, as I said the job the crew did was not bad. I would lean towards giving them 3 stars, but the professionalism of the estimator and manager could have been better. The estimator's main reason for using them over their main competitor was because their competitor sucks. You should be telling me why I should use you, not why I shouldn't be using your competitor. The manager who I dealt with about the side project sounded like he was trying to blame me and the stability of the side project structure instead of dealing with the real issue which was the lack of communication about it. read more

The pros- Steve who did the inspection and the young man who did the repairs were both nice to work with. Cons- We had a couple of companies inspect our roof to stay on top of any repairs with an aging house. American Eagle Roofing didn't find all of what the other company found but the other company didn't find this small leak area so we went with AE. I was told they would probably be at our house for 3-4 hours and when they repaired it, it was finished in just 1.5 hours. The plywood didn't need to be changed out and it took half the time but they are still charging us for the whole quoted price. The quote doesn't mention the plywood so they say they never were charging us for that in the first place. I get that they didn't know if the plywood would be in good shape or not since it's not viewable during an inspection but considering the time took way less, a discounted price seems only fair. Roof staples were left on our walkway and could have cleaned up a little better too. Way overpriced for 1.5 hours of work! read more

American Eagle Roofing was subcontracted to do repairs for a leak on my roof. They were contacted by my solar company to do the work. Once they received notification to go forward with the work I was contacted and given a work date about six to eight days in the future. A couple of days of rain had pushed all their scheduling back a few days. I was given a promise that if there was any cancellation I would be contacted and have my work date moved up. I got a call the next day and advised there was an opening the next day. I was scheduled for the next day between seven and seven thirty am. the workers arrived at seven fifteen and started their work. They finished around five o'clock that afternoon. When they left they had cleaned up the work area and hauled all the debris. Great communication. Highly recommend American Roofing. read more

Starting with 60 mph winds tearing our roof off on New Years Eve, getting insurance to pay for it and finally dealing with the building inspector. It took 5 months and 27 days to get the roof installed. After signing a contract, the guys came out and put down tarps to try and keep the rain out. It rained seemingly every day from New Years eve to April and it was a very stressful time for us. The only comfort we got was from Becca. She's the BEST!! Stayed in contact with me throughout the whole ordeal and always assured me that the job was gonna get done. When Marcos, Carlos and Jose came out for the install after what seemed like an eternity, they where friendly and professional. The new roof is beautiful. Marcos and his team did a fantastic job dealing with all the challenges of this install. So much attention to detail. They take pride in their work and it shows. Marcos told me "I want you to be happy and we will work on it until you are completely satisfied. Plus this is my reputation. I want the building inspector to see what I did". In the end, the new roof is actually an upgrade from the original. Marcos saw to it that the new roof has more modern features like a new home would have with the added extra bonus of much, much better insulation! Finding a contractor to work on a Mobile Home is very difficult. But American Eagle Roofing has done many of them and you would be smart to hire them. Our roof replacement was completed a few weeks ago with American Eagle Roofing in Folsom. Overall, we were happy with the quality of the work completed and the price. We started the process in October 2022 and met with several different companies to determine if we needed to repair or replace our roof. Due to poor original construction and damage from squirrels, we made the decision to replace. We always felt comfortable asking questions and gaining an understanding of the why and the what of the re-roofing process. Our original roof was S-tile which contributed to allowing easier access for squirrels. Each of the companies we spoke with suggested conversion to asphalt composite shingles instead of replacing with tile. We were initially concerned about the look of shingles compared to the other homes in our neighborhood all having tile. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the look of the shingles and it doesn't stand out in a negative way even though we were the first in our neighborhood. I appreciated the communication from Rob when working through the bidding process, helping us understand the work that was needed and ensure we felt comfortable with the steps to get the job done. American Eagle was not the cheapest of the bids and we never felt pressured. The roof replacement process started with a tear-off of the old tile, paper and dry rot. Next came the process to replace any plywood with dry rot. Lastly, gutter replacement and laying and securing the shingles. Overall, the process took 4-5 days. In advance of the start of the project and at the end of each day during the job, I heard from Becca, the project scheduler. She did a solid job of emailing, calling and texting to provide updates and/or addressing questions/concerns from us. As with any larger home construction project, we faced several different issues. However, I thought American Eagle did a good job of communicating with us and ensuring everything would be handled. I would not hesitate in recommending American Eagle Roofing for those looking for a repair or replacement of their roof. I think they understand the importance of communicating during each step of the process and ultimately doing what they said they'd do. read more

We were cleaning our gutters this winter and saw from afar one tile on the roof that was completely broken, with a big crack down the middle filled with debris. This is a newer home and we knew nothing about roofs but thought a broken tile can't be good, so we found American Eagle Roofing on Yelp and sent them a message that night. Sean responded quickly with a courteous reply. We reached out to the office the next day and spoke with Stephanie to set up an inspection. She was very helpful and kind. Steve came out soon after for our scheduled appointment and arrived on time. He completed a free roof inspection. It turns out there were nine cracked tiles and the underlay did not look good beneath the completely broken one. Thank goodness we called them out when we did because if we waited much longer there would have been a big leak! Steve did a temporary fix to protect the roof from the rain until someone was able to repair it permanently. We were impressed the temporary fix was done for free, before we had even committed to hiring American Eagle Roofing. Steve seemed to genuinely love his line of work and helping others. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We could tell he was a good person and someone we could trust with the job (so much so that we called him out to inspect another home the following day). As for the repairs, Steve provided a quote by e-mail that same evening. The price was reasonable and the reviews online were great, so we signed a contract with American Eagle Roofing. Becca scheduled our appointment for repairs and was also very kind. The appointment was sooner than we expected given it was the rainy season. It was estimated the job would take half a day, but it ended up less than that. We were lucky to have Steve and his expertise to complete the project. He fixed the underlay with better material than we started with, and replaced all the cracked tiles with tiles that matched as closely as possible. For those visible from the front of the home, he switched them out with tiles from the back so they don't appear mismatched and the roof still looks as good as new. He paid great attention to detail, sealed some joints for us, and cleaned up when he was done. We also received photos of the damage and the repairs. Steve did an amazing job--He is a rock star, or roof star! We are so happy to have found such a reliable and trustworthy company to handle our roof inspections and repairs. This review is long awaited and much deserved. American Eagle did our roof back in early 2024. We reached out to them after getting multiple quotes and ultimately deciding to go with them because of their warranty. We worked with Chris who was very helpful and answered any and all questions. The roof was completed and while the work was being done there were a few hiccups (unrelated to the completion of the roof), but American Eagle made it right on all accounts. Last year, we had American Eagle put all new gutters on our home.
