I had read the reviews for this shop and decided to call before an I drove over to the shop at 4 p.m. I made it there by 4:15 and the door was locked but, she came out and opened it for me right away. I don't blame her for keeping the door locked while she couldn't see who was at the door. We chatted while she cut my hair, a very nice and pleasant lady! Nice haircut, she has been here for years doing this very thing. Tip: Give her a call and let her know you are coming. I've taken my son to a few various hair salons. We finally decided to try a Barber. My 13 year old son has been coming here for about a year now. He has a lot of very think hair. She has always done a great job. Her place is on the side, nice and quiet. Rarely have we had to wait. Cash only so come prepared. Great price!! read more

Well, the cat's out of the bag.... if you (like me) have been seriously disappointed with the lack of a phenomenal barber, not a hairstylist pretending to understand barber cuts, in the Santa Rosa/Rohnert Park area, then rejoice; her name is Kwan, and she has mad skills.... and, get this.... she actually owns and uses metal guards on her clippers and understands how to do amazing fades. To top it all off, she's super-friendly and cares about her customers, and quickly gets to know your name. I've gone to her well over a dozen times, and figured it wasn't fair to keep her to myself, just 'cuz I hate to wait, which is happening more and more often these days. Well there's a reason, guys; the word is getting out. If you can find her tiny little shop tucked at the back of the Mountain Shadows shopping plaza, you will be rewarded with the best-looking, best feeling scissor or clipper cut imaginable. read more

My boyfriend is in the military and he gets his hair cut here every couple weeks. Every time he walks in she remembers who he is and the cut he always gets. She's very detail oriented and such a sweet woman. She makes sure to wipe off as much hair at the end so you're not all itchy when you walk out. My BF won't take his business anywhere else. Great place to get your haircut gentlemen! I have been going here my past 3 haircuts...I was previously driving from R.P. to San Rafael just for my cuts... I found this place thanks to the a Yelp review (shop not listed anywhere else on the net) The owner lady has been cutting hair professionally for many years. She studied in San Francisco working on all hair types and all races, she worked in Sonoma for 6+ years at a barber shop, and she started this shop within the past 2 years I think. She can cut MOST, if not ALL men's styles! I asked if she could do a LINE UP and a FADE... She said yes... SUCCESS! Great cuts at great prices. She's my new barber now. read more

After moving here from the East Bay, I've been on the hunt for a great barber in the area. Saw this place while driving home from the shopping center last week so I figured I'd give it a shot. Man o Man have I been missing out. -Kwan is a master at her craft. Had a great cut, great time chatting it up with her and felt like every dollar was well spent. My hair looks good and she takes care of you so you walk out with as little hair on your clothes and neck as possible. -I enjoy a barber that can hold a conversation and can also do a good job a simultaneously (sad how many barbers do not have this ability). -Her shop is a hidden gem so it may be hard to find. Her shop is technically facing the apartments on Emily St. All in all, have my new barber after a 2 year hunt. Kicking myself for not finding it sooner, seeing as it is down the street from my house. Took 9 minutes to cut my hair unevenly. Went there a few times, quality depends on how many people are in line ahead of you. Quan rushes like crazy to get as many haircuts done as quickly as possible in order to not make people wait. She sometimes will do a good job, but I have stopped going to her. I have found MUCH better barbers in the area that do a fantastic job and have been consistently, who have better tools and more traning. Other than that, she is a nice lady. Not the best barber, but if you really want a quick cut and don't care for details, then this This will work just fine. read more

My husband went and got his hair cut once there and was happy with it. Our friends had found out and told us that she starts out great then messes it up and doesn't listen to what you want done.. and man.. we should have taken their word for it. The owner only takes cash, too cheap to even take cards? Come on. She totally messed up my husbands hair (literally left a small uneven patch on top of his head instead of the fade he had going, and left many hairs everywhere) and as he was checking it out seeing if it was good she demanded "18 dollar bye" so he got annoyed and left. After showering the little hairs off and seeing exactly HOW horrible she did he went back to ask for a refund, "I don't do refund bye" and according to her yelp doesn't do anything to her so she approved this message. NEVER WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. We should have listened to our friends so don't be like us. This rude woman who is careless about her cuts isn't worth anyone's time, better off going to the beauty school for a cut from a newbie! read more
