Where do I even begin? I wish I had paid closer attention to the reviews before deciding to move here.
This property has tremendous potential, but unfortunately it has been undermined by poor management, inadequate maintenance, and a lack of respect for the residents. No one should have to live under these conditions.
The amenities are extremely limited. The laundry facilities close at 4:30 p.m. every day, making them nearly impossible to use for residents who work standard business hours. There are only three washers and three dryers serving more than 200 units in each section of the complex. The pool is only open Monday through Friday, also closing at 4:30 p.m., and remains closed on weekends--the very time when most families would actually be able to enjoy it.
The overall condition of the property is disappointing. Residents frequently leave trash in the hallways and stairwells, creating an unsanitary environment. Groups of people regularly gather outside the leasing office and throughout the property smoking at all hours of the day, often around children who are simply trying to play outside. Teenagers and young adults often congregate on the stairwells, leaving behind trash and creating unnecessary disturbances. Firecrackers, loud gatherings, and constant loitering have become a normal part of everyday life here.
Maintenance throughout the property is severely lacking. The staircases are deteriorating, the elevator frequently smells like urine, and the hallways often have unpleasant odors. I've seen roaches crawling outside the building, dogs barking throughout the day, and several units emitting strong odors of urine. The exterior may appear acceptable from the street, but once you enter the property, it becomes clear that it is not being properly maintained.
Security is another major concern. Many of the gates are regularly broken, including the vehicle gates. Residents are required to use key fobs, yet the gates themselves often do not function, defeating the entire purpose of controlled access.
Management has been one of the biggest disappointments. In my experience, concerns are not taken seriously, communication is poor, and there seems to be little urgency in addressing ongoing maintenance or quality-of-life issues.
The financial aspect is also misleading. In addition to rent, residents are charged for internet, renters insurance, and even a monthly fee simply for reporting on-time rent payments. Parking was never clearly discussed during the leasing process, only to later discover there is an additional $100 monthly parking fee. For a property marketed as affordable housing, these unexpected charges add up quickly.
Living here often feels restrictive rather than comfortable. Residents must leave the building entirely just to dispose of their trash, even late at night. Basic conveniences that most apartment communities provide are either unavailable or heavily restricted.
The apartment itself was advertised as "remodeled," but that description is misleading. While the flooring and appliances appear newer, much of the unit remains outdated. The floors are uneven and dented, the cabinets and drawers were dirty upon move-in, the paint quality is poor, and the original popcorn ceilings remain. Many electrical outlets did not function properly, forcing me to replace several of them myself. Closet shelving is poorly installed and unable to support normal use, storage space is minimal, and the water heater is located inside a bedroom closet, which is far from ideal.
Water service is interrupted far too often. When the water is restored, the pressure is extremely low, making it difficult to wash dishes, take a proper shower, or even fill a bathtub for a child. Despite having a newer kitchen, there is a persistent sewer odor coming from the plumbing that has never been adequately addressed.
Overall, this community gives the impression that because it serves low-income residents, management believes lower standards are acceptable. Affordable housing should never mean accepting unsafe, poorly maintained, or unsanitary living conditions. Every resident deserves a clean, secure, and well-managed place to call home.
If you value cleanliness, responsive management, properly maintained amenities, and a safe environment for your family, I strongly encourage you to consider the many other apartment communities in the area before signing a lease here. There are far better options nearby. I genuinely regret choosing this property and would not recommend it to anyone.
Someone call the health department, city, and summons the courts this is a disappointment and some of these conditions could be what we call inhabitable. Maintenance are answered for what they want to answer to, but not for all request. Upon moving in, please look for any issues you may have because once you move in those issues and concerns will not be met. I hope this helps someone read more
