I was looking for a colonic place with a closed-machine-system since that's what I'm used to for over 13 years in SoCal. That's when I became even more grateful that I finally found a place like Healing of the Body and Mind! I saw Erica, and I am extremely grateful for her beyond belief! I do believe she's heaven-sent! I found her when I needed her the most! I moved from CA and dearly missed my previous Colonic-Therapist/friend. I didn't believe I'd find anybody like my previous, until I met Erica! She embodies everything and more I've been looking for in a Holistic Colon Hydrotherapist!!! She's experienced, knowledgeable, extremely patient, kind, gentle, caring, sweet, thoughtful, and quite literally the Coach that held my hand when I most needed one! My gut issues had gotten bad, I was in pain frequently and couldn't eat much without having side effects. I was desperate and I knew I needed to do my gut liver / gallbladder detox / cleanse again! I found Healing of the Body and Mind and quickly scheduled the two colonic appointments they suggest (to open up the detox pathways) with Erica, I also scheduled a Foot Detox Bath right before a colonic, so I can detox even further. I also did a lymphatic massage with Kasia; anything that would help me reset and jumpstart into my detox/cleanse/healing again. There is a HUGE difference from seeing a Colonic Therapist for a closed-colonic-system session to sit with you and walk you through the entire session quite literally being your mental and physical Healing Coach/Supporter through it all, than sitting in a room alone through a colonic session with an open-system. I am extremely grateful for Erica!!! She is definitely my person and my new healing buddy!! I did my 8 day Fasting / Liver / Gall Bladder flush/detox/cleanse with her and I am also scheduling my maintenance sessions with her in between my longer detox/cleanses, so I don't let my gut issues get to that bad point again. Terrible, awful massage. I have a few hundred in my life from all point on the globe. This was, by…read moreand far the worst. Walk-ins we're welcome, so I walked in--to a dark desolate waiting room. Wasn't even sure I was going into the right place since there isn't any signage out front or on the door. After a minute of waiting, a woman appears, seemed surprised I walked in and asked what I wanted. I replied, a massage. To which she seemed even more surprised but took me to a room in the back and ask "1 hour", I said 90 minutes. To which she said, "$100". I said ok. She replied, $100. Pay now. I've never had to prepay for a massage. Now I know why, because if it was after, I would not have paid. It was awful. I didn't get a massage, I got an oil rubbing. Would have been great if I was heading to the beach but I wasn't. I spent 65 of the 70 minutes face down. The only time she applied any pressure was to mush my gold necklace into my neck, repeatedly. At the start, she insisted I remove my underwear, which I refused several times. The sign even says to leave underwear on. After the 70 minute rubbing (not 90 which I paid for) the girl left so I could dress. Only to return and ask if I'd like a water. I said yes, she seemed out out but then, the first time ever, I was asked for a tip. I wasn't carrying cash and was going to put a tip on my credit card on the way out. Another first, she wanted more that what I was offering for such a terrible massage. I was willing to overlook the bad massage table. Was willing to overlook the urine smell. Was willing to overlook the hot room. Was even willing to overlook the lack of music. Just avoid the sham at all costs. It's pathetic.

Since I live less than 1/4 mile from the place, I went there in person. Well, I saw that the first review giving only 1 star was from February 7, 2019. I only noticed this establishment named, "Asian Massage," several months ago. It had a different name before that but I don't remember what it was. I walked in and a pleasant lady named, "Tina" was at the front counter. I asked her a few questions and found she was Chinese. The prices looked reasonable to I took a one hour massage for $60. I explained about having lower back problems for over 4 years and pinpointed the spot for her. She started massaging the area very gently and told me that there was something there as compare to the the other side of my back. She concentrated in that area until my pain was gone and then she worked on the rest of my back, back of my legs, chest, and the thighs, knees, and shins. Oh, she also massaged both of my feet completely. I nearly fell asleep a few times but, I forced myself to stay awake to feel the relaxation and peacefulness of my entire body. Needless to say, it was a great experience for me. I walked out of there feeling totally relaxed and my entire body was tingling all over. Luckily the drive home was only a couple of minutes as I was in total relaxation. Will I go back? - MOST DEFINITELY!
