After mike left and sold hot dog hut it's been through a few new owners, the current owners made this more into a diner with breakfast, more lunch/cold cuts, etc..it's not really a hot dog hut anymore, hot dogs are just ok now, I feel like the hot dogs and buns took a nose dive and just aren't as good quality as they used to be as well as previously stated tons of new menu items, very doable for lunch on the move but 3 stars for me now. read more

This little hut is definitely better than I would've thought. I've lived in this area for years and must have driven past it a million times, kinda weird that it took me this long to give it a try. They offer a ton of different topping for your dog and even have a few creative options on their menu. I went with a dog with their all the way sauce and then another with just sauerkraut. Both were decent and I enjoyed them. The all the way sauce is pretty good for not being Hot Grill (sorry there's just never going to be a comparison and I am partial) but it was enjoyable. The quality of the hot dog was just alright, they are pretty small and seemed to be boiled? But I could be wrong. I also ordered a side of onion rings and this was a mistake. Not only did they taste like they came straight from the freezer but they also tasted like they possibly had freezer burn? Or they just tasted as if they were really old. Either way, they weren't good and I would never order them again. I'd come back for maybe a plain dog and just skip over on ordering sides. read more

This is the first time that I have been in since the new ownership took over and a HUGE difference I stopped into today and met Lee the new owner and she could not have been any nicer and welcoming. They have a variety of different creations, such as the Tornado dog, which was chili, cheese, and potatoes on a hot dog. Super good, super quick little bite. They also serve chicken fingers, french fries, and other small side options as well for 'save the bank' prices. When you walk inside, you're immediately in front of the counter viewing your options. Simple and clear menu. Commenting on the interior, expect to walk into a hot dog joint in Wayne. That's all the description you need. I can't remember if I've been to other hot dog restaurants, but when I do, I might come back to change this review. I just don't know what to compare it to, but I definitely really liked it and expect other places to fall short. read more

Always passed this place on the way home and wanted to try when I was in the mood for a good dog and today I was not disappointed. I got the FIRE DOG and BOY did that pack a punch. So many flavors on one hot dog. The menu was diverse with toppings and I was in and out within 5 minutes. Will definitely stop here again. read more

Disgusting! The hot dogs were okay I suppose. The french fries were fine, can't really mess those up. However, the burger I ordered was one of the worst I ever had. It tasted like someone grounded up my couch cushion, added a pinch of burger meat, painted it brown to resemble a beef patty, and served it. Now here is my fiance to describe the taste of her chicken sandwich. I'm taking a bite into my chicken sandwich and what do I find? An inedible, bony, stretchy, disgusting piece of I don't know what. I spit it out right away and didn't even give it to my dog it's so bad. As I am eating the rest of the chicken I tasted no flavor, and it tore off like rubber. read more

Used to be terrific, but now...the "foot-long" (maybe 9")dog was meh, the onion rings 0 out of ten, chili was more soup than chili, soda watered-down, and price tripled since the last time I stopped in there. The new owners have not had the old web sites taken down, so don't be surprised. One dog, rings and medium soda over $10. Never going back. read more
