Suckin' on chili dogs at "Jersey Johnny's" tasty freeze, thinking about whatever I please. The dogs love their 20 varieties, I can't disagree. I am a "All the Way Weiner fan, $2.95, and all the onions, mustard and chili one man can stand. Sometimes I opt for the combo, $6.44, comes with fries and all the fountain drinks, if you please.. Oh yeah, the menu goes on, Philly Steaks $7.10, Taylor Ham, egg and cheese $5.60, hot roast beef $6.90, and a rib eye cheese steak sandwich $8.84 and options that go way beyond. Bottled water $1,60 and all fountain drinks are $1.79. I'll let you think about that for some time, while I order a strawberry milk shake $3.50, instead. I'll be going back to "Jersey Johnnies" tasty freeze some day, come what may.

I love Texas Weiners. I live in Colorado and moved away from North Jersey over 40 years ago. I still have cravings for Texas weiners, cheeseburgers and fries with sauce. JJG totally satisfied my cravings

This was a food truck that came to my job last week. I thought the food was really good, and the prices were also great. I got a chili cheese dog, and a dog with kraut. I certainly love a good hot dog. As a side I indulged in the chili cheese fries. For a food truck I thought the chili was very good. I'll definitely be sampling more of their options if they return. Service was also quick, and pleasant! Definitely a great point in my day!

Jersey Johnny's makes my family happy. We are ALWAYS happy and satisfied. The food is amazing. I've always had boneless Buffalo chicken and then shared my kids fries. However, the last time I got a burger. And it was everything I wanted it to be. Delicious bun, burger cooked right, with Swiss and crispy bacon on top. Yum. I can't wait to go back!

This is a nice little spot to stop if you are feeling like having a dog or burger. Clean, friendly, and prices are reasonable. Can't tell what dogs they use (thinking Best's but not sure). Also couldn't tell how they were cooked, as it seemed like they were pre-cooked and then deep fried for a minute or two. Ends were pretty tough, but rest of the dog was good. Close to a Rutt's ripper.

Found this on my way to another meeting and had a craving for either a burger or a dog. The place definitely looked like it could go either way from the reviews so I decided to give it a shot. Coming in I was originally saying dog but then got drawn to the cardiac arrest burger because it had Taylor pork roll on it. Asked for a dog recommendation and was told the "All the way". The burger wasn't necessarily bad, but it wasn't all that great even though I had my pork roll on it. If anything I was disappointed since I was having higher hopes for it. In hindsight I should have probably just ordered two dogs. The hot dog was a better choice. The "all the way" is a chili, onion, mustard and I chose to add cheese. Its pretty good and reasonably priced. Didn't knock my socks off, but if I was driving by again and needing to feed a hunger, it would do just fine. Overall the place is pretty good. I was happy with my dog and had only minor disappointed with the burger. If you are nearby this isn't a bad choice if your in the mood for a hot dog, but probably not something I would drive far out of the way to find either.

Kind of fell apart. Weak buns I guess

Typical little jersey roadside hot dog place. Busy lunch spot for locals but decent amount of parking. Have to say it's not the best place in the area. Got 2 dogs all the way and the chili sauce tastes a little sweet to me. Not sure what the ingredient is but much prefer the all the way dogs at McCobbs - although you will pay more there. The fries were great but they have this watery Red Gold brand ketchup - come on man don't skimp on ketchup in a hot dog joint, that just ain't right. Stewart's root beer on tap is a nice touch but other drinks also not mainstream - I think I saw RC cola there. Two dogs, drink and fries for under $10 so the price is right, just think you need to up your condiment game. Nice guys working there, lots of old timers in for lunch. Overall not bad but you can also do better in my opinion.

We both added the carolina and memphis bbq sauce blend. Niether was spicy & the combination was sweet and tangy. The sides we tried included the potato salad and the corn bread. Both meat options were PHENOMENAL!!!!! The quality of meat was high. Each (brisket and pulled pork) was seasoned appropriately. The flavor was smokey, & the meat was cooked VERY well. You could tell that the brisket had been smoked for at least 8-12 hours. The meat separated beautifully using a plastic fork. There wasn't one tough piece of meat in the bunch. The fat cap (the fat on the edge of the meat) was not overwelming at all and melted like butter. (When the server cut the meat i could tell he was considerate and he included a fair portion of fat cap and meat. Not an just an overwhelming amount of fat or a dry portion without the cap.) The potato salad and corn bread were right down the middle, absolutely no complaints there. But the smoked meat options are definitely where they shine! They seem to be a small business go support them! The food was great. There seem to be some bad reviews but my experience was great. My advice - get the brisket or pulled pork. The service was good. The portions were great, large enough to fill us up AND have some left over. (I skipped lunch today so I was famished and I still didnt eat all of the food.) The staff was super helpful and kind. I will be going out of my way to find their food truck in the future, wherever they are. (I don't even typically write reviews so this is a lot for me.) To management: Thank you for coming out to feed us. I skipped lunch so this was amazing.

With about 150 people expected, this was a big event and we wanted the food to feel just right. Unfortunately, our go-to caterer was out of town, so we reached out to Empanada Times--and we are so glad we did. Madeline, whose mom was actually our neighbor growing up, welcomed us with a full catering menu. Even though her restaurant is all the way in New Jersey and we're in New York, we knew it would be worth it. We ordered pernil, arroz con gandules (party rice), chicharrón de pollo, and Madeline's famous potato salad. Let me tell you--we were not disappointed. We had to sneak a taste before serving, and from the first bite, we were transported right back to Puerto Rico. The chicharrón de pollo was everything we hoped for--crispy, boneless, seasoned perfectly, and even better with a squeeze of lime and a cold Medalla beer. The rice was rich, flavorful, and reminded us of Doña María's classic Puerto Rican cooking. The pernil? Juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned. And the potato salad--flavorful, creamy, and just delicious. We had leftovers for days and didn't mind one bit! My sister, who's a teacher, even brought containers to share with her coworkers, and I brought plenty home for my husband. He's very picky about food and who cooks it--but this time? He dove right in without hesitation, and didn't have one negative thing to say (and trust me, he would have!). We're already looking forward to visiting Madeline's restaurant in NJ--or maybe catching a food truck somewhere soon. Thank you, Empanada Times, for helping us honor our father with the flavors of home.
