Came in to buy my first watch and had no clue on what to get. I was helped by Rambo, not sure if that was his real name but he made the process super cool. He asked me questions of what I would like and I was completely clueless. He asked why I wanted to get watch, and if I had hit some sort of milestone that I was proud of. Was weird at first but then told me to pick a watch that represents that moment. I told him I got a promotion and was going to work in a office. He even as far as to ask me what the company colors were since I would be wearing it everyday. Company uses blue and he found a great watch. Blue dial and silver , his recommendation was also a watch I could dress up and down to make it versatile. He mentioned something that stuck to me. First of all, do yourself a favor. Keep in mind that, if you are about to spend money for a Swiss watch, the Movado is their worst brand. After my experience, I wouldn't touch it with a 10' poll. Almost anything else, is better to go with. Now the following is about the "official" Movado Company Store. I purchased an expensive ladies watch for my wife. After 2 weeks, it stopped. I tried to return it with no luck. BE AWARE OF THE NO MONEY BACK POLICY !!!!!!! They forwarded me to warranty service center instead. I have now to send the watch on my expense. Who knows how long is going to take to be fixed. And I would bet anyone, that it's back is going to be scratched from some inexperienced, low-end watch repairmen. My advises are: 1. Horrible, just horrible customer service. I was in to buy a very expensive ladies watch. The standard bracelet band was too small for my wrist so I asked if they could get the links to expand. My goodness, you'd think I asked for blood. The store clerk nastily informed me I would HAVE to buy the watch first, then go online and order the links after providing copies of the sales receipt and sending in pictures of the front and back of the watch. Movado would send me the links in 3-4 wks. I could then bring the watch back in and they would put them in. I was astounded that I was the one that would have to go through all this AND pay nearly $1000 for a watch I couldn't even wear for nearly a month. I turned around and walked out and will never buy a Movado product If this is their idea of customer service. read more

Came here to get 2 movado watch batteries changed. First walked in and no one greeted us, walked up to one of the ladies and she said nothing can be done with the watch with diamonds. They wanted me to send the diamond watch to West LA and they can change the other one and would cost $45 plus tax, ok that's fine. Walked right outside the store and there is a kiosk jeweler , I asked him if he could do the diamond one and he said no problem at all did it for $15!! The customer service at Mavado was terrible! I was visiting yesterday with some friends and found a Movado Vizion I was interested in buying. I originally was working with a very helpful, wonderful older lady who provided me with a price. I told her I had to talk to the lady about it first and left the store. When i returned a younger blonde woman came to me. I asked her what the lowest price for the watch would be as I wanted to buy it tonight. She responded in a rude immature manor. When i politely told her her price was $100 more than the original price from the other lady she began rudely laughing at me. I just walked out shocked that a sales person could be so rude and awful and still have a job. If she wasnt so terrible chances are I still wouldve bought the watch. I must have worn my invisible suit today. I walked into the store. It was empty. There was only one other customer who was being helped. I waited patiently for almost 12 minutes as 3 employees stood together talking then two walked to the back and returned to the front never acknowledging me. At that point the one who was helping a customer asked did I need help. She then asked Jenna to come over and assist me. This was the same person that made eye contact with me while huddled in the group but didn't say anything when I first walked in. She then comes over and says "oh I thought she was helping you". Did not feel welcomed at all. After calling and making sure I could come in to get Movado watch battery replaced, I came to the store. After interupting the associate from eating I was greeted and then told she would need to ask the manager if they could replace the battery (literally 2 mins after I called). I was then told the manager did not have time to replace battery and no I cannot drop it off and pick it up later. Despite the Movado website saying to only go to approved stores the associate said I could go to any jewlery store. This is 30 mins from my home and i am 9 mons pregnant trying to fix the watch for father's day. I'm PISSED. read more

Buyer beware Movado does not accept returns no exceptions. No matter if you purchased it 10 min ago or 2 min ago they absolutely will not return your money. They will not inform you before you purchase your watch. They will only point at the small sign and look at you like your crazy for even asking. I thought Mavado was absolutely one of the best companies but I was wrong. Even their employees think that Movado is wrong for having that policy. They would change it if they could but all they can say is not up to them. Shame on you Movado you should listen to your employees and your customers. 1 star for the employees they're awesome people. I like Movados. The Museum face design is very simple, yet bold and elegant. I am a proud owner of the Valor made of Tungsten Carbide which gives off the most awesome shine. How can you not like a silver metal that reflects as a shiny black!? Its lot easier to find the women's watches in the store, and you may have to wait around +3 months for a specific one if its not sitting in the display case. I walked around for about 5 min. Sales associates are rude and many of their watches are discontinued and/or defective. Went through their whole stock of 13 to find 1 non defective chronograph watch, which MSRP'd at 3000 and sold for 1300. Seems like a lot for a bunch of defective products. I also went recently and found a solid gold casing watch the 18k Gold Datron, I was with a sales associate for 15 minutes or so when another sales associate by the name of Fatima, some latina who looks like a gypsy, basically tells the associate I am with "there are two customers waiting." essentially making the gesture that I am not a real customer. I promptly called her out on her rude behavior and request a supervisor and he's just as useless as she was. He was only interested in recommitting me to making the purchase "What can I do today to make you happy and not walk out that door?" Basically how much of a discount are you looking for to make you happy. The 18k Gold Daton was listed at 13.5k, I'd rather by the stainless steel Rolex Daytona now that I've been insulted. He promised disciplinary action and asked that I leave a number so we can keep in touch and touch base afterwards, and lo and behold nothing. I've already written to the corporate office about this heinous encounter. The bunch unprofessional buffoons at this store is cancerous for the Movado brand. Save your money, come in and try out their watches to see how you like them and order them online. You'll get a better deal and you won't have to deal with the type of treatment Fatima and company likes to give. Very unprofessional and disloyal bunch, considering I've purchased a total of 6 time pieces in less than a year from them. So ending with a word of advice DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. "Test Drive" your watches and order them online. Save yourself the headache and frustration, at least you can return them if you order online. I have been coming to this store for years and always appreciated the sales. I recently went in and asked for help with looking at a movado diamond women's and men's watch. I was going to buy two for my parents anniversary. A young lady by the name of lama said one minute and proceeded to help a Chinese lady who walked in after me which she seemed to know. She didn't call for anyone else to help me and I waited for ten minutes. She never again asked if I needed help and didn't look at me once. I asked for her name and left feeling like because I didn't look like I had money she chose not to help me. Fucking Movado store. I went there to buy their sale movado classic museum. Make sure you check your item that you're buying before you go. They will let you try different style then give you the older style when you check out. Specially the classic museum movado for mens. They will let you try the 42mm then might hand you the 38mm on check out. And they will tell you that it is the smaller face that is on sale not the bigger one's. Just be through when buying watch from them. I would not recommend this store. They are kind at first but once you bought their stuff they will make an bunch of excuses when you ask them to do an exchange. ..!.. hope i can give them zero star! read more

Honestly did not have a good experience all I can say is that it is a horribly managed store. No sense of customer acknowledgment or respect. My father went in to purchase a watch. The associates name at that hour was maria and my dad found a watch he liked, asked what the price was and Maria told us that is was $321 with the tax included. We told her okay put it on hold for 30 minutes I will come back to pick it up. When we got back maria was not there and another associate named juliann was. We told her we are picking up an item that maria helped us with. Then she began to tell us upon getting ready to pay that it's actually $580. Now you can sense our frustration because another associate made sure and told us that she was giving us the correct price. Juliann was not apologetic nor willing to help. Therefore we asked to speak to the manager at that time named Sam. He was rude, un willing to help and did not even side with what his employee had put us through. If they knew how to manage a store they would not be constantly getting negative reviews. So there is obviously a reason. He did not apologize, offer to do anything for us to make the situation better so we just left. I'm sorry but they don't deserve to be in management or even customer service because when you treat someone so poorly and have no shame, that's unacceptable. I came here tonight to look for another watch. No one bothered to say hello to me because of the way I was dressed. One of the girl saw me after I asked for help. She let me stood there for at least 15 mins and still not bothered to help me. One of the associate came out and helped me. I ended up purchased 2 watches instead of 1. As I was waiting for jasmine to resizing my watch. The rude sale girl that let me waited for 15 mins was at this time desperately need to sale. So I heard her conversations with one of the customer that came in looking to purchase multiple watches to resale on the web (however he did not buy any at all). So she offered him her personal phone number so he can call her for next time. Wow I didn't realize that movado actually allowed their employees to do that at all. How disappointed!!! Finally after about 3 minutes and watching two other saleswomen having a discussion, a young woman came to assist me. She noticed that the stem/crown of my watch was missing but informed me that they only have tools to change batteries but not for repairs. All she could offer was the phone number to the main store in LA or she suggested "the watch repair guy at the kiosk near Marshalls" REALLY!!??
