This is a compliment for Kim at the Potomac Mills location. My Movado watch that I purchased a few years back from this location had kinks in the links that I could not get out. I took it to the store to see if they could do anything to fix it. Kim and the staff worked on fixing my watch but it was not entirely working. They all worked really hard on it and the staff was friendly while I waited and showed me watches while I waited. When they determined that it was not entirely fixable, Kim shared some options with me and showed genuine concern for my dilemma with the watch, which is my favorite watch! I purchased two matching watches for my significant other and I as a gift a few years ago. Kim offered to swap out my watch for the same watch and that was an option I was not expecting. This was a great option for me because the other watch I had purchased was not having the same issue I was experiencing, so I went with it. I'm not sure if Kim is the manager of the store or not, but either way, Kim provided excellent customer service and represented the brand and team very well. I was so disappointed by the unprofessionalism. Went in for an interview as agreed with the manager, only to be told when I arrived that the manger took the day off . The associate went to go ask another manager I'm assuming in the back and the manager that was there didn't even bother coming out . They just sent the associate out to tell me that if I "wanted" I could try again tomorrow. I had just drove half an hour to get there, why would I make an attempt to catch the manager by chance if I couldn't even catch her on the agreed upon day of interview. Also no one knew I was coming for the interview which just showed the lack of communication amongst the team. Emergencies happen but a simple call or text can retain potential talent . read more

I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. First let me start by saying no one greeted me as I entered the store. I walked around a good 10 minutes before anyone asked if I need assistance. Which seemed odd because, an Asian man (who I perceive to be the manager/owner) was helping another woman next to me. After showing her several watches, he recommended one I was particularly interested in. The woman glanced over the watch for an extended period of time, tried it on then gave it back to him. Before he put it back in the case, I politely, asked if I could see the watch next. The Asian man informed me that I can look at it, but was not at liberty to touch it. Mind you this is after I watched another woman casually handle the watch for as long as she wanted. In total disbelief, I turned and walk upstairs where my daughter is looking at other watches. The Asian man then yells upstairs for another assistant to help me. I tell my daughter that we will no longer be purchasing anything from here and proceed to walk out the door. Picking up on my demeanor, the second assistant sarcastically yells, "nice," as if I was wrong for deciding not to buy anything. Smh. read more

This review is long overdue, but better late than never. 3 stars based on two separate shopping experiences. Sep/Oct 2020 time frame, my husband and I visited this location. We wanted to treat ourselves to some COVID retail therapy and noticed the Movado Outlet was having a sale. We received a warm, friendly greeting from a young lady behind the counter. She helped us with our entire transaction: we purchased his and hers Movado watches, and a Movado Bold for my husband. Fast forward to Christmas season (and still COVID ). I went back to the Outlet hoping to get my husband a Movado sports watch. I was "greeted" (I use that term loosely) by a woman who asked, "Can I help you?" [... and not in a sense that she actually wanted to help me. It felt more like, "Why are YOU in this store?"]. I told her I was interested in a sports watch for my husband. She immediately recommended two less expensive brands. I told her I wanted a Movado and had already purchased several from this location. She told me they were having another sale, but her entire demeanor was aloof and condescending. Fed up, I told her I'd return with my husband so that he could pick out his watch. I asked how long the sale was going to last; she said it ended the next day. I told her I'd be back, to which she faked a smile and replied, "See you tomorrow." I realize at face value this may not seem all that bad. However, like the saying goes, "It's not what you say, it's how you say it." It was clear that this person made assumptions about what I could and could not afford. I was treated poorly as a result. My only regret is not getting the names of each employee. DO NOT GO HERE!!! The store manager,Kim, is extremely rude and all staff members as well. I love Movado and how they have all different types of watches and I have been buying watches from them for years. I needed a battery replaced in one of them so I went to the Williamsburg location. However they didn't fix the links in the watch correctly and I had business in DC so stopped on the way in the location in this Woodbridge location. I explained to them the situation and they proceeded to try and charge me more money to get it fixed after I had already spent $30 to get the battery replaced. The store manager proceeded to belittle me and make me seem stupid by trying to explain to me how businesses work. As someone that has worked in business and customer service my whole life this was very frustrating and offensive. I then had to call movado customer service and they told me to ship it them to fix it or call the Williamsburg store to see if they could get the Woodbridge store to fix it for free. I did that and the Williamsburg store called them and the Woodbridge manager fixed the watch in 30 seconds. All that for nothing an extreme waste of time. The Williamsburg store is extremely helpful. Steer clear of the Woodbridge store they will waste your time and get every penny out of you. read more

Visited. The potomac mills location on sun mothers day. I had the pleasure of working with the manager Kim and employee JR. I brought my mom to get her first movado. My mom sparked a conversation with kim while I walked around a little. Which was interesting because my mom is somewhat standoffish. Kim invited her to try one some watches and she settled on a beautiful two tone with diamond. Meanwhile. Jr and I started talking about the watch he was wearing. I took my Movado watch to them on two different occasions in the span of a year; on both occasions I was told sad stories about why they could not help me with my watch (that had stopped working - go Movado)! Worst customer service ever. Bought a watch during Black Friday 2019 and now it's only January and the battery I is dead. Called them up the first time gentlemen picked up the phone is said yes you can come anytime we will take care of it for you at no cost as long as you can prove the purchase. So I proceeded to give them my phone # and they found my purchase. So he said yes come in whenever we will take care of it for you. So I proceeded to come the next day around 12pm. Lady was there and said please wait for the girl to come back during lunch, said ok so I waited 1hr then she came back and give me the run around about the batteries costing $55 to replace again so I explained to her that my phone is in the system please find it. She found it and said oh my gosh sorry I am not trained to replace a Movado SE Pilot battery. She then said please comeback during the week days early we can do it for you. So I came back a few days later and thEy said sorry its too late for them to change the battery. I am now starting to get pissed and said when can I come they said tomorrow but please give us a call before you come so I did. Picked up a rude manager and she said you have to send it in we don't fix those here. I am sorry but if that's a way to do business I hope she gets fired soon because the way she was talking she didn't really care about her job, and this is coming from a really fair judgement guy. Gets 1 star because you can't rate any lower than that. Accompanied my girlfriend to get her watch looked at after it fell apart wearing it only twice. Amy the store manager was abrasive, condescending, void of a personality and possibly even a soul. Instead of insuring a personable encounter it seemed almost as if she made an effort to make spiteful comments on how we were the problem and remained as unhelpful as she could be; all the while displaying a smile that projected what I could only imagine truly being expletive phrases brewing in her mind toward us. A few of the other employees were pleasant while the wicked witch of the west disappeared to the back to "assist other customers" in an empty store... Recently went to Movado Company Store searching for a gift for Yana because she just got her U.S citizenship and thought a watch would be a great gift. I mean who wouldn't want a Movado watch. Movado was having a great sale on most of their watches would made me drool. I was helped by a sales associate by the name of Lakesha Jackson. Lakesha was awesome and very patient. I ended up picking out a very nice Movado watch. I'm thinking about going back to get myself one. Jennifer Ruiz the Store Manager was very unprofessional and clearly had an attitude when my daughter went to the store for me to have a link taken out of my Movado watch. She was trying to charge her even though it was purchased from the same company. The watches are already priced in the higher range and you still want to charge an additional 12.50. It's crazy to me that she would have even made an issue out of this considering I've had another watch that they switched the band on it free of charge as it should be. I contacted the store that day to speak to Ms. Ruiz but the store phone kept going to voicemail I can't imagine their that busy. I left a message and she never called back. Real good customer service. Also, Movado online customer service is not any better that's the one thing their consistent in poor customer service. If you look at the past reviews that span over years they are complaining about the same issue customer service. This company will no longer get anymore business from me. read more

Very POOR SERVICE by the managers there. After driving an hour and a half just to get a new Movado for my collection. I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth by a woman named Nicole, which was very rude and unhelpful. She said she was unable to give a reduced rate on a watch that looked very worn and said she could not go any lower on the cost because it was an outlet store. Then I called the following morning to speak about a watch I wanted to order over the phone and Nicole again, said that she was too busy to even help me out and talk to another sales lady tomorrow. Wow, so my wife had to talk to her because after that was said I asked for the ladies first and last name and she hung up on me. Very rude, customer service is beyond poor, and this is suppose to be the manager on duty. Worst customer service ever.We took our watch to get the batteries replaced and were told it will take 30 minutes.We waited outside the store and went in after 40 minutes and were told that the repair person was on lunch break and we have to wait another 30 minutes.We were a bit upset as it was lunch time and we were tired and famished walking the whole length of the mall.We waited another 35 minutes, went it and were told that it will take a bit longer.I was chagrined and expressed my disapproval.She was sympathetic and told that maybe the manager can give us discount.Some time later the manager, Amy, walks in and very apologetically tells that it takes 4-6 weeks if we had sent it via mail.As moronic as the analogy sounded, I reminder her that we came in person not via mail.She emerges 10 minutes later with the watch. I reemphasized the inconvenienced they caused us.She goes mm hmm.After reminding the lack of consideration she is showing to her customers, she goes we cannot do anything about it.She was rude,inconsiderate,arrogant and pretty much acted like we should be grateful for waiting just 1.5 hours total.Definitely not the kind of service you would expect from a high end watch store like this.After paying our full cost, we told her we are not coming back to this store.She told that there is another store at Leesburg and f eel free to go there. read more
