I came in with three chains that were broken and needed repair. I was told there may be a mark on two once repaired since they're rope chains and exactly what he would do to the third. Quoted a fair price and told to come back in an hour. I came back in a little less than an hour and they were repaired, i saw no marks on 2/3 chains, and they were cleaned and ready to go. While in New Orleans on a business trip, I stopped by a "fine jewelry store" which happened to be the same one I purchased my Tudor Black Bay 54 w/ bracelet the time before. I so-called thought I established a "relationship" with the store. Anyways, while there, I ordered the OEM-style rubber strap from the Tudor rep. He looked in the system and told me I that all I needed was the rubber strap and buckle and that I could reuse my end links. Mind you, this was not cheap!! A month or so later (Sept 20, 2024), the items arrived at my address. That Sunday, I took it to a "fine jewelry store" in Tysons Corner, so they could install it for free (Authorized dealer). When I went there, there were several back-and-forths: 1) The person that was installing the strap thought I needed "new" end links. I had to tell them that you re-use the existing. Sheesh!? 2) Then they came back out and told me that the existing spring bar was too big for the rubber strap. They "attempted" to install smaller ones, but the ones that they used were too small, which caused the "end links" to spin. Really?!? A "fine jewelry store" doesn't have the proper size spring bar? I got nothing installed, just the rubber strap/buckle assembled... Drove 40 min for practically nothing! I called the "fine jewelry store" in New Orleans back that Monday, talked to my rep, explained that I didn't get any spring bars with my order, the ones that I had on my bracelet were too big, and refreshed the rep memory that I was told that I "only" needed XYZ. I was told that they would contact me Wed. Yawwwwnnnnn! I didn't feel like waiting for all this foolishness to get squared away. I came on Yelp and saw that this place in the mall had good reviews. At first, I was honestly hesitant to take my new watch that cost (to me) a pretty penny. I snapped out of it, and figured that if the "fine jewelry store" in New Orleans couldn't order all the proper items for me; the "fine jewelry store" in Tyson's Corner didn't know how to install nor had the proper spring bars, hey why not give this place a shot? I am glad that I did! I came on 24 Sept 2024 and the person who helped me was very friendly and polite; knowledgeable; answered all of my questions; told me it would be ready in 20 min or so (went and grabbed lunch); and the price was super affordable! I want to give this place negative stars! My watched stopped working so I came to this store to get my battery changed. This was my first time ever getting anything done to my watch. The watch brand is Burberry and it was gifted to me. I had to roam around the mall a bit to wait for my watch and when I came back the worker told me because I used my watch so harshly the battery was slipping out and that they temporarily fixed it with a piece if paper inside the watch. So I believed them. However, a few months forward. I take my watch to a professional watchmaker in South Korea. He is apparently a national treasure for handling watches. When he opened the watch, there was glue and broken pieces in it. He said whoever fixed my watch forcefully tried to take the battery out, breaking the holder and then they used the wrong size screw to unscrew the pieces. I had to pay about $200 to get my watch fixed AND cleaned. The only place that opened my watch is this place. I cannot believe I had to pay for my watch to be broken here. Also being blamed for breaking the insides when they are the ones who messed it up. I can't believe they used glue and sticker tape to "fix" my watch. Please if you want your watch to be properly fixed don't go here! I learnt my lesson. My experience here was fine. The work was done well when it got done. I was less impressed with the way service was handled. I called explaining that I didn't want to leave a ring for resizing-- I'd like to wait, and understanding there is only one jeweler, checked early to determine the most convenient time for that to happen. As instructed, I came in first thing on a Sunday, as the gates open. A pleasant woman took my ring, offered me a quote of $70 for a size down and told me it would be ready the next day. After a brief chat, she explained the jeweler was out for the morning, and as this is scheduled, there's no way anyone told me it would be done in one day. She requested i come back in two days, and it could be done then. I did the 40 minute drive home and again returned in a few days. The jeweler was present, took the ring, quoted me $20 less than the first quote, and did the work swiftly and perfectly. I'm beyond thrilled with the final outcome.
