Not a place I would choose again. There's lots of storage units around-save yourself the hassle of all of their "at owners discretion" charges and choose another option. The "call center" informs you of none of the unreasonable rules they have. They also don't tell you that if you don't have that rent paid on THE FIRST DAY of the month they're going to hound you..call you, text you, email you like you're some kind of criminal. The unit was also dirty. It looked like someone tried to sweep it out but they just swept all the crap out right outfit of the unit so it did no good. I wish we would have known all this before choosing this storage facility. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! We have parked our RV at this location for three years, but since the change in ownership, the new owners have been absolutely dreadful! Their lack of customer service is appalling. Just recently, my husband went to retrieve our RV so that he could bring it home for some repairs. He followed their instructions and left the car he drove in the designated customer parking spot. We had previously been scolded for parking another vehicle in our RV spot, so we complied with their rules. However, when he returned just a couple of hours later, the car was gone--it had been towed away! As registered members and paying customers, shouldn't we be entitled to certain privileges, such as having a secure parking spot? It is extremely frustrating and disheartening to be treated in such a disrespectful manner. The lack of consideration from the new owners is completely unacceptable. We strongly advise against renting from this place. The new owners have clearly shown a disregard for their customers and a lack of professionalism. Save yourself the trouble and find a more reliable and customer-oriented place. read more

Move It Self Storage might be a good place for storage, but the Uhaul side of their business is not good. A couple years ago, I reserved a Uhaul utility trailer and when I showed up to pick it up, they let me know they didn't have that trailer but I could use on of the close top trailers instead. I needed an open top trailer, like I had reserved, so it was not a good experience. A few weeks ago, I went onto Uhaul.com to rent a trailer, another open top utility trailer. Uhaul.com said that Move-It Storage had that trailer available on the day I needed it. Do I chance it and try renting from Move It Storage again, after being burned by them last time? Two years had passed, surely they got their act together. Maybe it was just a one-off issue when they didn't have the trailer last time. Let's try it again. Being smarter this time, I knew I should call ahead the morning of the reservation, to make sure I don't show up and get burned like last time. When I call ahead, they say "The last person who rented that trailer hasn't returned it in time, so we don't have it for you! Let me check on something right quick and call you back." They never called back. A little while later, a Uhaul corporate representative called back to help me scramble to find a location that had the trailer I needed. I ended up having to drive to a Uhaul location much further away to get a smaller trailer than what I had reserved at Move It Self Storage. Bottom line, I don't think Move It Storage actually has the Uhaul items they say they have in stock. Are they lying about their inventory so that the Corporate Uhaul website sends reservation business their way, and when the customer shows up, they just try to scramble to make what little they do have in stock work? Maybe. All I know is I've tried to rent from them twice now, and they are 0-2. There won't be a third chance. read more

Moving is stressful no matter what, but moving out of state is another whole level of stress. When my husband needed a last-minute storage, Move It Storage was quick to accommodate him, securing a unit for the following week. When he arrived, Leticia was nice, helpful, welcoming, and efficient. Anticipating having to drive thirty minutes to return the U-Haul, Leticia offered to coordinate the return of the U-Haul right then and there, saving my husband a trip outside of town, for which he was incredibly grateful. Overall, my husband was pleased with the service from start to finish, as well as the cleanliness of the facilities. Move It Storage is a 10/10 recommend! read more

I showed up to rent a small truck with no reservation, but they had just taken in a truck from the day before and the lady handled the walk-around, the check-in and my check-out reservation with grace and skill. Courteous management with fantastic prices. I visited half a dozen Times RV and boat storage vendors/competitors before deciding on "Move It". Some of the other vendors didn't answer or return calls.The others had run down facilities that looked like they doubled as wrecking yards. Two even wanted a year rent up front! The facility is well maintained and has good sized units at reasonable prices without contracts. Best bet in the Fulshear/ Katy area. read more

I rented a bigger truck somewhere else but had to turn it in and still needed a few more trips. We have used this self storage for almost one year; and don't usually go to the facility more than once each month. Yesterday, we moved our things out of the facility because there was no air conditioning and it was obvious from the extreme heat and bugs that were in our unit, that there had been no cooling for quite some time. We spoke to the manager on site who advised us that it was not "their fault" - they had made a call for someone to come and fix it and learned that the electric board was fried, so they were waiting on parts. We told him that he should have called and told us and he didn't seem to think that was his job. We told him about the bugs and without asking us, he sprayed our unit (and several others) with a bug spray while we were not there (apparently he has a machine with rod on it that allows him to spray through the top of the doors). So now - we have three rugs that are so chemically "enriched" we will never be able to use them. Thoroughly disgusted and upset about this and would advise anyone with items stored here to visit and make sure your building has air conditioning. When we rented this unit, the management were so professional, helpful and courteous - not so much any more. So many nice things ruined - if we had wanted a non-air-conditioned space, we would have rented one!!! read more
