They refused to run back the cameras which shows the cash payment being accepted by the employee. There are no actions in place of an employees mistakes, I don't not recommend this storage facility if you care about your personal belongings and items you pay for. The resolution was contacting the employee numerous of times until she answered the phone and then her stating that the payment was giving. She did not log the payment as she was supposed to. After our previous home sold faster than expected, we had to move into a short term rental until the build was completed. As it was only a 2 hour move, all of our furniture and possessions were put in Pods, and stored until the final move. As our closing date approached, I did quite a bit of research, and came upon John and his team at Knick Knack Movers. All of my questions were answered quickly, and the communication was great! On the move day, they were scheduled to have 3 people to empty our 2 large Pods. They arrived 10 minutes early, which never happens, and they had a 4th person to assist. One for which we were not charged. They were quick, careful, and every single person worked hard. It became apparent that they would finish prior to the 3 hour minimum. I mentioned to John, who came himself to supervise, that there was 1 item going to my daughters home 20 minutes away, and I had several items we had stored at her home that we needed to move as well. We hadn't contracted them for a truck, or the 2nd location, but John quickly figured out a price to add the extra to our move. The price was great, and they saved me renting a truck or trailer and doing it myself next weekend. As I said at the beginning... 11 states and 13 or 14 moves. This is our last. In all of those moves, this was by far the least eventful... WHICH IS AWESOME! In a move you want stress free and nothing unexpected to pop up. To anyone considering Square Cow Movers: do yourself a favor and look elsewhere…read more I did my homework. I spoke with multiple moving companies. In the end, it was Square Cow's overly confident answering service that convinced me to go with them. Big mistake. I hired them to move a large bedroom set from a second-floor bedroom to the garage--something I clearly communicated was not a simple task. I had over four phone calls, sent multiple photos, and explicitly discussed the risks and challenges involved. Each time, I was told everything was "in the notes" and the movers would be properly equipped with straps and the right tools. I even spoke directly with the operations manager the day before the move. He reassured me--again--that his crew would be fully prepared. He even advised me not to purchase additional insurance, claiming it was an easy job and not worth the extra cost. Then moving day arrived. The crew showed up completely unprepared. No straps. No proper equipment. Within minutes, they dropped the first piece of furniture, severely damaging it. The rest of the move was borderline reckless. The crew themselves admitted that Square Cow doesn't provide them with tools or care about their safety--or the customers' belongings. According to them, "Square Cow only cares about making money." After my experience, I believe it. I filed a damage claim, and now I'm stuck in their slow, unresponsive process that may take up to 90 days to maybe--maybe--get a fraction of what the damage is worth. Bottom line: they talk a good game on the phone, but they have zero follow-through. The left hand has no clue what the right is doing, and they clearly don't equip their crews to do the job safely or professionally. Their so-called claims department is a joke. Don't fall for the sales pitch. There are better, more honest companies out there. Square Cow Movers is not one of them.
