She called Eddy who came out to evaluate what it would take to move. He gave us an estimate and said 2 trips would do it. The crew and Eddy were on time during the move. They wrapped and protected several fragile family heirlooms, asked questions when they needed guidance, and worked NON-STOP for hours (one half hour for lunch). 1st time I used these guys they we're AWESOME !!! Super fast, gentle with my things. The 2nd time I used them they were AN HOUR LATE on meeting me at my storage facility. And when you work until 4am most nights and you're told "to be there at 7am, on time, or my guys will start the meter running." So, an hour late I call the owner Jane, and instead of an apology, I get ohh well, "that's on Eddie." Eddie their head dude with the moving...he finally gets there and Eddie says "nah, nah, that's on Jane." So my question is this !? What about my "meter" Yeah, it doesn't exist ! You guys can be late, but if the customer (us) are late oh ho ho start that meter up ! And I get it. Mistakes happen, wires get crossed all of the time, but for both of them to just pass the buck, instead of "owning it" and apologize. SO NOPE on any kind of an apology. And HELL NAH on discounting my move. The 3rd time was clearly on me, (I shouldn't have used them!) but I thought to myself hey everybody has their off days and they're the ones that packed my unit so I'll go with them one last time. Key phrase LAST TIME. So on this 3rd go around I had a blowout on the freeway, and I was late by about an hour on meeting them at the storage facility. AND GUESS WHAT!? Yep, they started the meter on me regardless of my situation. AND it was the MOST expensive move out of all 3 moves!!!??? When I'm thinking how could that be ??? I donated (gave their movers half of my furniture (because I didn't want to take it on my last move ). So technically they had WAY LESS to essentially move !!! I had a terrible experience with Move Masters They came recommended by the storage facility we were using. On the good side they showed up on time and were nice enough to deal with. Things started going south when I told them we have two stops therefore some items need to go in the back of the truck and other items go towards the opening. They completely mixed the items that were getting off dropped off first and the ones going to storage, next they left their truck light on which I had to jumpstart with my car! Which they did not deduct the time from the bill! At the storage facility I showed them the unit and how I wanted things stacked - I went to buy water as I am 8 months ! I got back and check on how they were doing and to my horror it looked like they had literally thrown everything on top of each other !! Look at the photo !!! Very unhappy and it was all due to the lead guys lack of directions to his workers - the workers were working hard - it was the lead Eddie that didn't know what he was doing. read more

Oooof. What a horrible experience. Simple move: pickup and move an apartment in Newport Beach, to a Yorba Linda House. Explicit instructions were- take your time, do it right , no damage, and there will be no supervision. The crew managed to ruin most of the carpet in the beautiful apartment, and I had to pay for replacement. Poor packing of expensive stuff. They were earnest and hard working, and long hours. But in the end, incompetent. And the Manager, Jane was unhelpful, and snitty. Beware! read more

I've had a horrible experience with Move Masters. I ended up paying $995 to move a one bedroom apartment from Irvine to Seal Beach! It took them almost 9 hours to move! The truly disappointing part is that they blamed me for having a complicated bed that apparently took hours to disassemble? When Eddy, who claims to be the owner, showed up he said it would take around 5 hours to complete the job. He also insisted I pay cash only. They came in at 8am and by 920am they had moved all the boxes down so I left to meet them at the other apartment. They only showed up to the new location at 130pm , which means they took 4 hours to move my sofa, bed, dining table, bar, bookshelf and pictures! When I asked Eddy about the $995 charge, he first said "it would be nice if you also left a tip for the guys". When I questioned him further why he never called to explain why it was taking longer than usual or if there was a problem he became irate and verbally abusive and ended up referring to me as an "idiot" repeatedly. I told him to stop but he kept being condescending and incredibly rude. They also wrecked my bookshelf and it was missing parts to hold up the shelves to which he said, "thats what happens when you get IKEA". When I asked his assistants to look for the missing parts they went back to the truck and Eddy, after collecting his tip, promptly drove away! I immediately called their office and spoke to a pleasant lady who was apologetic about the situation and said that the manager was away on vacation and would deal with it when she got back. I'm still waiting for a callback from Jane. I hope that they can find some way to refund and remedy this insane situation where I had to pay more than $1000 in CASH after they destroyed a piece of furniture and verbally insulted me repeatedly. Calling a customer an "idiot" is completely unacceptable. read more

They are the best!!! They were so kind and helpful and very efficient and knowledgeable. They had to make two stops to get all of my mothers stuff and they had no problem with that. After that we went to uhaul and uhaul messed up my reservation and while had to figure out what storage unit i could go to last minute they were so patient. Eddy helped me figure out the size storage I would need, how much I should pay, etc. He even called around to see if he could find a storage unit for me and offered to hold my stuff if I can't find anything. I used Move Masters on Jan 31st 2015. They were hired to move me and my family from Newport Beach to Costa Mesa. They brought a group 4 guys. They were very professional and efficient with time. We were moving a two bedroom apartment full of furniture many of which were very large pieces and some had to be taken apart and re-assembled. The crew even had to bring in a large sofa bed thru the window as it did not fit in thru the bedroom door. Including transportation time the move took only a half day. I am sure they could have milked the job if they wanted to but they didn't and that saved me a lot of money in the end. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! PLEASE READ IN IT'S ENTIRETY!!!! We moved 3 miles away and it took 5 men 10 hours!!! We went from a 3 bedroom home to a 4 bedroom home. We were prepared and packed everything with the exception of the large items. We actually ended up moving small things ourselves since we were so close; Move Masters moved approximately 30 boxes, and the large furniture, one of which was a sleep number bed. If you have a sleep number bed, DO NOT use Move Masters. They DO NOT know how to move these beds! We had to pay a handy man to put our bed together because Move Masters was not able to. Also, they moved our washer & dryer, but at the end of their shift, they failed to hook up the washer and dryer because they were tired. Instead, Co-Owner Eddy showed up the next day at 8am to install the washer and dryer. If you think this is the worst part, hang on! We moved into a new construction home and noticed that we weren't getting hot water in the Master Bath. We called the builder and they sent someone out right away. After the first plumber, a second and third showed because they couldn't figure out why we weren't getting hot water to the Master Bath. After about 1 week of not being able to shower in our Master Bath, and multiple plumbers at our home, it was determined that the washer was not properly installed!! Eddy looped our washer hookups! Once the builder properly installed the washer, all hot water was working perfectly in our home! UNBELIEVABLE! To make matters worse, their answering service, Dee Dee, is the Co-Owners mother. You would think she'd have customer service skills as this transaction is already stressful. Nope. I've called multiple times to ask to speak to the other Co-Owner, Justin (her son) and per my last conversation with Dee Dee '...it is out of my control.' AND HUNG UP ON ME!!!! I can't emphasize how horrible this experience has been. I've never reviewed a company online, but I felt an obligation to share this experience with Move Masters. They are thieves!!!! Stole multiple items from me, and did not complete the move. Just left my things in front of my house. When they arrived and quoted me 10hrs, i asked why? He replied, "you can have somebody else do it then" completely unprofessional and the entire experience was very unpleasant. Ive NEVER been treated so badly. I was $60 short, after them telling me they would let me know once i got to $1,500. He tells me my bill is $1,800. I ask why can i see the bill he says hes keeping my things. I tell him, i was $60 short let me run to atm, i come back and over $700 of my things were stolen! And my furniture was left in my doorway! & they drove off! Just a horrible company! Ontop of that, their truck broke down in the middle of the move! Dont hire them! Im filing police report and bbb report 1st things! read more

Amazing!! This was my first time hiring movers and I was very nervous about the whole process. Move Masters made it as stress free as possible. Jane is friendly and helpful, with good advice. She put me at ease from the beginning. She recommended a 4-person team even though it was only a one bedroom apartment. I have to admit, I do have too much stuff! The morning of the move Eddy called ahead to let me know when they were going to arrive. I wasn't as ready as I wanted to be (who is when it comes to moving day?), but they helped with the last minute little things and had the truck loaded in no time. All I had to do was stay out of their way and let them do their thing. This is where having four people was helpful... they only took 4 hours to complete the move!! The guys worked hard and didn't waste any time. Everything arrived at the new apartment with no damage. They were friendly, professional, careful and did a great job! Well worth the expense.
