I scheduled a move w/this company. Also told them my budget. There were no boxes or small items to move, only Large Furniture and appliances. I personally shrink-wrapped 90% of my items. They used about 3 moving blankets. The issue I had was that it would take 3 hrs or less. Firstly, they were late. I had to call and ask their ETA, and than they stated 11am, they were supposed to be there from 930-1030. They ended up showing up at 1130. We showed them the appliances and furniture which we also, brought most of everything out to the living room for easy move. After showing them, they were gone for 30 mins They sent 2 men, no offense - one man was older, had to be 50's or 60's and he moved SO SLOW. this is moving company that charges by the hour - how is this acceptable? I feel they sent him bc i clearly told them I only needed 3 hrs. I could have just rented a truck and moved it myself - because at the end when the quote was $359.70 ended up costing me $708.45. Yes did he work hard... for an older man yes yet I am so disappointed. They called after to get feedback and wanted a review - all she can say was I am sorry and hung up. I than also messaged them with my concerns, no response. I used Omar and his team to move my family to our new home and they went above and beyond in getting everything out of our house. We have so much stuff. They work tirelessly all day long to make sure that we had our bed set up and everything was ready to go in our first night in our house. After being scammed by Tray Moving and Storage, I looked up "Moving" on Reddit. According to Reddit users, in my dealings with the company, Tray hit every red flag in the Moving Industry. I wish I had looked it up before Tray scammed me out of a thousand of dollars. Specifically: --A broker, probably from Florida or New Jersey --Physical survey conducted over the phone, nobody comes to visit --Low estimate, cross country move with current fuel and labor prices during peak season is expensive --Shipper loads your property then states you have more property than agreed upon and doubles the price --You will not get your property back until you pay for the hostage load --When you do get your stuff back it will be missing and/or damaged **** YOU have been warned. I have mixed feelings about my experience with Tray Movers. The two movers who ultimately handled my move, Arsen and Uluk, were outstanding. They were professional, hardworking, efficient, and extremely respectful of my belongings. Despite being put in a difficult situation, they maintained a positive attitude throughout a very long day and did everything they could to complete the move successfully. They deserve recognition for their efforts. Unfortunately, my experience with the company itself was very disappointing. I booked my move on June 9 for a June 18 move date. Throughout the week, the company called multiple times to confirm the appointment. I spoke with Michael at length and provided detailed information about the move, including the exact number and size of boxes, the furniture being moved, and several fragile items requiring special care. Based on this information, I was quoted two movers at $129 per hour, a 22-24 foot truck, and an estimated move time of 3-4 hours since everything would be fully packed and ready to go. I was given an arrival window of 12 PM to 3 PM. At 1 PM on moving day, I received a call from dispatch informing me that my move would need to be canceled and rescheduled for the following morning. Given the timing, this was extremely stressful. After calling Michael, he assured me he would find a solution. To his credit, he was able to arrange for another crew to come that same day. However, when Arsen and Uluk arrived at approximately 3:45 PM, they had been given a 16-foot truck instead of the 22-24 foot truck that had been discussed and planned for. They also had not been provided with the detailed information I had previously reviewed with Michael. Because the truck was significantly smaller than what was needed, the movers spent considerable extra time carefully figuring out how to fit everything. What was estimated to be a 3-4 hour move ultimately lasted until around 9 PM. The longer move time resulted in a much higher final cost than expected, and despite the movers' best efforts, there was not enough space to transport all of my belongings. Several smaller items had to be left behind and transported separately in my personal vehicle. The disappointing part of this experience was not the movers themselves--they worked incredibly hard and did the best they could with the resources they were given. The issue was the lack of communication, poor planning, and failure to provide the equipment that had been promised despite having all the necessary information well in advance. I would not recommend this moving service based on my experience. During my move, two of my suitcases were lost. After months of repeatedly contacting the company, they located one suitcase, but I had to drive approximately four hours to retrieve it. The company agreed to reimburse me for the travel time and expenses involved in picking up the suitcase. However, months later, I still have not received reimbursement. During my follow-up communications, Jane informed me that she would speak with her manager, Nelly, and provide an update; however, I have not received a resolution. One suitcase is still missing and contains important documentation. I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-through, communication, and support in resolving these issues. Based on the loss of my belongings and the ongoing lack of resolution, I found the service unreliable and would not use or recommend this company. read more

I inquired about price from multiple places but this was the only place to call me back and give me a fair quote. On the day of moving, I received a call and they gave me an eta and they showed up right around the eta they gave me. Two professional men showed up and they were straight to business. I'm moving from studio to studio so I had about 8 or 9 big boxes with a table, desktop, and bed and they were efficient and fast. I was quoted for 3 hours and that's exactly how long the entire moving took. 1 hour packing, 1 hour driving, and 1 hour unloading. I can go on and on but the point is I was very satisfied with their service, quote, and final price (final price was my quote since they finished everything within the alloted time). Very reasonable. Matthew Salazar and his crew of Dante and Fonzi were great. They took the time to wrap up everything that was not in boxes with blankets and plastic wrap. In my opinion, at least half the stuff my octogenarian parents had should have been given away or gone to the dump. But they wanted to move everything. Matthew and crew treated every item with the care that my mom felt it deserved. Moving is stressful. Matthew and crew made the situation less stressful for her. Now why the 4 stars instead of 5? The whole of Tray Moving could have communicated better. Like I said, moving is a stressful situation. And especially more so when you're in your 80s. My mother was texted a link for her to access her "account " at the beginning of her communications with Tray Moving. My mother had trouble navigating that customer portal. Then it didn't take long for her to be unable to find that text the link. so she was no longer able to access her portal. I don't have a problem with a business choosing to communicate with texts. But follow it up with an email. my 85 year old mother knows how to save an email to access later. There was also confusion among the Tray Moving employees themselves so that we were getting different information from different people. In summary, it's all good now. Matthew and crew took good care of us. But the moving process could have been less stressful if there were more communications in multiple formats of texts, emails, and phone calls. First time hiring movers from a third floor apartment to another third floor unit and the two gentlemen exceed my expectations. I recently moved a 2 bed apartment in Los Angeles and was very impressed with the whole experience. I got a quote immediately and it was very reasonable. They communicated with me prior to the move about logistics and how to save money in the process, which made the process smooth. They arrived exactly at the time specified in neon pink tees and a cheerful disposition which made the arduous process of moving a lot less of a drag. Mario was the person I was in touch with throughout and he was one of the best movers I have ever worked with, definitely very memorable. He was professional, responsible, efficient, yet kept things light and enjoyable for the crew and us. One of the furniture screws was missing after the move, and when I checked with Mario the next day, he immediately went about searching for it, and made sure to return it asap.
