Jonathan and his team were absolutely amazing!!! If I could give higher than a 5 star I would. The entire crew were all polite, helpful and such good people. They were punctual, professional, efficient, and incredibly hard working. They went above and beyond in everything that they did. From laying the red carpet down, to wrapping furniture with plastic and blankets, to disassembling furniture at the old house and reassembling it at the new house. They even went back for a second trip to help us get all of the odds and ends that didn't fit in boxes or wrap well such as scooters, bikes, and garage tools. Prior to our move of about 15 miles, we tried to get rid of as much as possible, including 2 complete bedroom sets and a king size bed and did not bring the refrigerator; yet it still seemed to be too big a job for The Moving Company. We had them pack as well as move us from a 3 bedroom house. My desktop computer died during the move.There were a lot of boxes but they are not in any kind of order in the garage. We were told the boxes that were on shelves would be on the shelves on the truck and then put on the same shelves in the new garage. They are not.Some things that didn't need to be were packed with layers of packing paper that could have been used for something else. Some things that should have been wrapped were not wrapped at all. Others were wrapped in our holiday tablecloths or gift bags, some of which were ruined. No authorization was given to do this. Heavier items were put on top of lighter weight items causing one to break. Many pieces of furniture were scratched or dented. It cost $140 to have one piece of furniture fixed. Live plants were packed in sealed boxes and put in the garage. We were not aware of where they were until it was too late and many of the plants died. After the move, Jon called and came by under the pretense that he could hook up the dryer. He then charged me for parts which he said he would provide at no charge and then charged me additional $'s for the move. Not a good way to do business. Very tacky. All potential charges were not spelled out and explained up front. There was no paperwork up front for me to sign listing all charges and nothing about insurance. I trusted them as our real estate agent recommended them but I definitely would not recommend them read more

I'm appalled by this service. My brother in law hired them to bring in their furniture and they were first of all late. 4 hours late, they were expected at 2 and arrived at 6! Then one of the movers let go of the couch and made a hole on our laminate floor. We were in disbelief when their excuse was that they were tired and that this was their second job of the day. I'm sorry but that excuse won't fix my floor and if they were gonna do two jobs, then they could have postponed earlier that day. During their delivery they scratched the floor as the dragged a blanket with the furniture and left marks. I did not hire the company directly but given that damage was made to my property I feel entitled to rate them on yelp. I'm sooo disgusted with this service. My brother in law has tried to reach out to said owner and he won't return his calls. They paid for the service in full despite the mistakes that were done. read more

We moved Friday 05/27/2022 First off, these guys were AWESOME! I honestly can't rave enough about them and have already told several people how great our experience was. I spent a week doing research on different moving companies, created a spreadsheet and laid out all of the different charges, how big the crews were, what the different company's hourly rates were or truck fees, ect. All the details you need as you're pricing things out. I only researched moving companies in the area that had 5 star ratings. When it came down to brass tacks they were all relatively about the same price give or take a few hundred bucks. I called some companies and others reached out online. When I reached out to The Moving Company to get more info on yelp, Jon responded via yelp very quickly. He answered all of my questions. It was hard to pick as they all had great reviews so I just took a gamble and picked The Moving Company. I have no regrets. Jon gave me a 1 hour arrival window 7:30 am - 8:30 am on our agreed day and they showed up promptly on time. They walked around the house with my husband and got his run down on what needed to happen with each room and they promptly got to work. It was a 4 man crew of the nicest guys ever!! They were so friendly and cordial. They worked hard and fast. There was no dilly dally at all by any of them. I was exhausted just watching them. They were great at playing Tetris and fitting a ton of our stuff in their truck. Then when they were done loading our home up, they notified me they were going to grab lunch on their way to our new home. Then they promptly arrived and worked hard to get it all unloaded. They didn't take breaks, they worked hard the entire time and they didn't break a single thing. (unlike my previous moving experience with a different company). I also estimated it would take about 8 - 9 hour for them to complete and it took them about 6 hours to complete, coming in well under my estimated total of how much we thought it would cost.
