I used this company 2 years ago and they were flawless in transporting my car from SoCal to South Florida. It took them about 4 days to deliver my vehicle, and it got there without a scratch. Of note: the order was actually fulfilled by A Unique Transport out of Glendale. So I decided to use them again, since I read many horrible reviews about other companies. This time around, the service was pretty terrible coming back to SoCal. They had my car for 10 days and NOT A WORD from All American Transport about where my vehicle was or anything. I'd expect at least one call, since they had my $20,000 car, but nothing. I had to personally contact them myself to find out when my car would be delivered. And when it was delivered it was at the very tail end of the day that was emailed to me. And emails were not returned promptly, and several times before delivery, not at all. And when I called to get an update, the individual had no idea where my car was and couldn't provide an update. The drivers were nice on pick up and delivery, so I may possibly recommend to deal with A Unique Transport directly, but I won't be using All American Transport again or recommending them. If it wasn't for the good service 2 years ago, I'd give All American transport 1 or 2 stars. You guys need to improve your customer service. read more

Horrible experience. Let me tell you, moving a car is difficult. It's not just this company that is a scam but this is the one I went with so here's my review. The sales guy, Frankie, was great, made it seem like they were a legit company. The day of the move, I had to ask for an ETA. Only then did someone reach out to me to provide when the truck would be there. Then they provided an address to meet at (which makes sense, Alameda has some narrow streets). I head there but at no point did they say, look for a truck that says "All American". I had to ask for what I was looking for. At that point the driver left the meeting spot and went to Home Depot in Oak, no big deal. Just annoyed that they didn't tell me that and I had to ask. Then I finally meet the guy. Very unfriendly. He does the inspection. It takes about 20 minutes to do. At that point he then says, I have too much stuff in my car. (Mind you, I did, it was a horrible packing). After standing in the sun for 20 minutes, I was annoyed. He should have said this up front so I could figure things out before he started the inspection. I left that place and called the "coordinator". She was horrible. She acted like she didn't know that they lacked communication. Then Frankie calls and emails saying there was some miscommunication and that they could still take my car but I would have to pay an extra $100. Why the heck would I trust my car with these types of people? Heck no. Long story short, all moving companies for cars are shady. They are all brokers looking for someone else to pick up your car. If I had more time, maybe I would have found a legit moving company for cars. All the other companies I looked up after wards were just as shady as them so I ended up driving my car myself. Not ideal but at least I know I won't get scammed $1400. I'd think long and hard before deciding if you really want a company to move your car. read more

All the workers and manages are very responsive and responsible, all my questions and requests were addressed promptly and efficiently. They even provided a free ride to the airport after I dropped off my car with them. My car arrived in exactly the same condition as when I dropped it off with them. Yet again, they deliver. Pun intended. I sat in their front office while waiting for my ride and I overheard a sales guy talking to a customer. Leading up to my move it was a little hectic and I didn't remember all the things they told me.... But it was on my paperwork, and overhearing the conversation was a reminder. They tell you how long it takes to ship your car and what their guarantee is. They tell you no more than 50 pounds of personal items and it's a courtesy only. They tell you that sometimes trucks can't get all the way to your house, because these trucks are huge! We've all seen them, but have you ever stood next to one?? It blows my mind that people don't listen and then complain. I'll use All American all day to ship my cars as they do what they say they are going to do. I've used them a couple times and had no problems. Once I had to meet the driver a bit away from the house, but there was a dip in the road that somehow the driver knew was there. These big trucks are a lot lower than I expected and I see why he couldn't make it over the dip. No big deal, the car arrived just as expected. Expect some road grime, because it happens! read more

I don't have a Yelp account of my own, so I am using my fiancee's account. I moved across country from California to Massachusetts. Setting up the appointment with All American Trucking & Transport Inc was very fast and easy, especially since this was my first time doing something like this. I was worried it was going to be a more involved and difficult process. I would like to say that the first person who picked up my vehicle was really great. The guy kept calling me to let me know how close he was to the pickup location, when he would arrive, and if there were any delays. He was friendly and easy going, we chatted for a little bit when he arrived and he marked off any dings / dents on my vehicle during his inspection before loading it. Everything seemed great up until this point. I'm leaving 3 stars because there was a different person who dropped off my vehicle in Massachusetts and he was very difficult to work with. I was not personally there to pick up my vehicle, my fiancee was, and the driver she communicated with was unreliable. She received a call two days ahead of the scheduled arrival time to let her know the car would be dropped off between 3PM - 6PM and that she'd receive another phone call when they were half an hour away from the destination. This portion of the communication was good. Instead of that happening, she checked in herself when she heard no follow up. She was told the car was arriving at 7PM, an hour later than the arrival window of time. She repeatedly tried to confirm that they'd give her a call letting her know when they'd arrive, but the driver didn't seem to understand her and spoke very little English. There was no call letting her know they were running behind. She told me she struggled to communicate with the driver because he did not speak much English at all. She received no call 30 minutes ahead of arrival - instead, 15 minutes after 7PM she received an angry phone call in broken English asking why she wasn't there yet. Given they never checked in and were late, she wasn't even sure when to show up, so not having any heads up was difficult for her. I think my biggest worry was that the driver who dropped off the vehicle never asked for her ID or any proof that she was the person I marked down to pick up my vehicle. Anyone could have claimed it was theirs. The driver quickly gave her the keys, had her sign paperwork (and told her not to date it), then quickly left. There was no finished inspection to make sure any extra dings / dents / cracks, etc showed up during the drive from CA to MA. read more

I read lots of horror stories about people who'd shipped their cars cross county, and courtesy a relo for work, I got to choose whether to drive from DC to CA or ship the car. I shipped the car. Throughout the process, everyone was incredibly friendly, proactive in their communication, and helpful with questions. The only hiccup: a broken down truck 2 hours from final delivery. But they called me during my original delivery window, let me know about the problem, and got my car (slightly dirty, but certainly no worse the wear and definitely not as filthy as others led me to expect) to me the next day. I'd have given them five stars had they kept a simple promise. When the truck broke down, they said they'd call within the hour to provide an update. I didn't get the call for almost eight hours. Otherwise, I'm so happy I chose to put the Bimmer on the truck and enjoy the comfort of economy plus cross-country. Six hours of travel far superior to six days. read more

The truck driver was nice enough to meet me at the place of drop off in New Jersey so I wouldn't have to pay extra for storage and the truck driver was awesome. He is friendly and he took great care of my car. I thought my car was going to come back dirty and dented and a real mess but it was perfect when it came back just a little road dirt but not even much. My car is a white car and I would notice it immediately but I didn't even take my car To the car wash yet because it's that nice. Then after I am driving home with my car I get a call from dispatch to verify that I got my car OK. I've spoken to two or three people at all American and everybody has been just fantastic. This was my first and only experience with transporting a car. Finding a company to do it felt daunting because there were so many options. All the companies I requested quotes from required a phone number and email to submit, and then I learned that information was shared with other companies, so I got bombarded with texts, emails, and calls from companies I had never looked into in the first place. This encouraged me to specifically look for a local company instead. Lucky Star Auto Transport had good reviews, so I asked for a quote. Zoltan got back to me and said he wasn't available for my preferred timeframe, but referred me to All American Trucking. I requested a quote and was contacted by Patrick, who was aware of my referral from Zoltan. I was already pleased with this slight personal touch. The quote was comparable and actually a little lower than the other quotes I had received, so after a couple emails and a phone to answer my questions, Patrick got my appointment setup easily! Daniela was my contact during the transport itself, and kept me updated via email per my preference. My car arrived with no damage, so can't complain about that! The only thing keeping this from being a perfect experience was that it was a bit inconvenient to hold off on making plans while waiting for pickup and delivery. I do believe this is just nature of the business, and to be fair, All American Transport is transparent about the fact that the driver doesn't want to give notice too early in case something comes up, but it can still hard to manage if you don't have flexibility in your schedule. In my case, the pickup window was Wednesday - Friday in San Jose to shoot for a weekend delivery in Seattle. My car was picked up on Friday, and my dad said he was contacted by the driver an hour before pickup. The car ended up arriving Monday morning instead, and the driver Dave contacted me at 11 PM Sunday night to let me know. He was really responsive and easy to work with to confirm the details. I just wish I had known earlier that it was on track for Monday, since I ended up staying (close to) home over the weekend just in case it arrived. Patrick did mention they might be able to guarantee a more strict time window, but it would cost extra. I opted to just take my chances, but if your schedule is more inflexible it may be worth exploring this option. I needed a vehicle transported from San Carlos, CA to Santa Fe, NM. I contracted with Montway who said they could pickup the vehicle in a few business days. A week later, the night before we were to leave town, they called and said it would be another week before they could pick it up. Luckily I found All American Trucking & Transport on Yelp. I called them, dropped the vehicle off at their main office on the way out of town, and now 6 days later I'm driving around Santa Fe in my vehicle. They saved the day!!! Keep in mind they won't take any responsibility for nicks and dents and they don't cover the car, my car was damaged and yours is likely to be as well. I'm guessing my car was on the front of the truck so totally unprotected. The person who delivered my car couldn't speak english and there was no way to discuss the damage. Ended up having to debate the driver over the phone about whether there was damage which made no sense. Also, their prices are high. This is a review for Winston at All American Trucking and Transport - I've been talking to him on the phone this past week about options for getting a car shipped on a carrier from California to Florida. Winston is super polite and it's really easy to talk to him. From my understanding, he works with many different trucking companies to match up all of the trucks that have available space with cars that need to be transported - all based on which direction they are heading and the timeframe in which they need to be picked up or delivered. I told him I knew it was short notice AND around Christmas / New Years - that I understood for sure that availability on the trucks could be limited or delayed - with winter weather across the country maybe affecting shipments too. He spent a good amount of time talking to me - almost immediately he said we would be able to drop the car at a terminal in Downey for sure to get it onto a truck - but then a couple of days later he called to tell me he had found a truck that was going to be heading out from Laguna Beach which could actually pick up the car in Aliso Viejo in the middle to end of next week - which would save us the drive to Downey AND get the car to Florida sooner. At first we thought we might be shipping two cars (we got the last slot on another carrier and that carrier had referred me to All American earlier in case he couldn't meet our timeframe) - I called Winston back tonight to let him know that we had sold a car today (the second one) and so we no longer need shipping ! . . . . . . but I wanted to write a review for the stellar communication and for how professional and friendly he was, also for how he didn't just give one option and then stop looking. He continued to explore options trying to sort out and secure the transport that would arrive in Florida soonest / closest to our timeframe AND the easiest / most convenient way for us to get the car onto the truck - and I appreciate it so much ! I had an excellent experience with All American Trucking shipping my car from San Francisco to Atlanta Georgia. I dropped the car off on a Wednesday, it was picked up for transport that Friday and was delivered to my door the following Wednesday. Price is equal to that of its competitors and commutation is amazing - all emails and/or phone calls were returned very quickly and professionally. I loved that their office is right next to SFO airport so in the midst of moving, instead of having to give my car up 48ish hours before I left, I was able to drop it off on my way to the airport and they called me a car to take me! You can of course have your car picked up if you want that instead but that option was easiest for me. Car came in exact condition as when I left it and the driver could not have been nicer. Where do I start? I don't think I have ever dealt with such reliable, trustworthy and terrific service professionals, in my whole life to be honest. Mike, Justin & team, you were amazing! I had to ship my 2013 C-class Benz from San Francisco, CA to Queens, New York City. I start off my research with the habitual google search. I get tens of company options and end up signing up for free quotes from almost all of them. They ask you to fill your contact information, car info and they generate a free quote for you. Most offers varied between $925 and $1,050. That seemed to be the industry market price. I then remember that a close friend of mine recently moved from NY to LA, so I asked her who was the company she dealt with, and she told me NOT to choose the one she did business with because of a series of bad experiences: Bad customer service and late responses after she made her first downpayment; a hidden fee she was obliged to pay upon delivery, not to mention they missed the promised delivery date by a week and there were scratches on her furniture. I can definitely not name her company but her misadventure was an eye opener. Luckily, I have had 0 unresolved issues with All American Transport. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. I found them via a search on Yelp. Reached out to them, figured out the logistics, dropped off my car at their Burlingame office after hours around 7 PM, was shuttled to SFO for free, and had email/phone follow-ups thereafter. Unfortunately, I had to deal with two minor issues but Mike was super responsive, super fast and offered a solution that did NOT fail me. If anything happens, these guys will not fail you. In all fairness, they were $400 more than the "competition" but that's totally worth it. Totally. We had an outstanding experience with our driver, Claudio. He picked up our three cars in Concord, CA on a Friday, and delivered them to us in Texas on Sunday night! We couldn't believe how quickly he got to us! The loading experience was great and our new neighborhood security wouldn't allow the truck into the neighborhood late at night, so we met Claudio at the entrance and unloaded the cars there without any problems. For example, I scheduled the car transport on the same day of my flight, I directly drove my car to All American's Burlingame facility for drop off, Monica was very courteousness during the receiving and inspection process and even booked me a complimentary Lyft ride to SFO airport at no cost to me. Plus, I did have an over weighted luggage, which would incur additional fee if checked with airlines, All American took care of the luggage for me for free as part of their service! During the whole shipping process, my coordinator Daniela stayed on top of my case and kept me closely posted with the car shipping status every other day. With Daniela's help, I had full visibility of the shipping status and got very accurate expectation for transport progress and delivery window. Moreover, my driver Andrew was very professional and courteous. He knows my area very well ( residential area with narrow street) and smartly parked the car carrier trailer truck in an open location about 1 mile way from my home and drove my car directly to my drive way! We were looking for someone to move our cars from California to South Carolina, and we wanted them transported covered and not exposed. All American Trucking is a broker. Another company actually comes out and picks up your car(s). Teo Meridian Trucking was who came out to pick up our cars. First, you are given a 2-3 day window to schedule your pick-up. You need to be flexible because you'll get a call and they'll tell you they're coming tomorrow. Not a problem, since we expected this. Secondly, the truck and trailer(s) are quite long and they need to either meet you in a large parking lot or if there's a long section of street that no one's parked in - that works too. We were very lucky in that there's a huge condo complex across the street, and no cars were parked on the street at all during the time they came. A wonderful man and his son came to pick up our cars. (We have a 2011 Audi S5 and a 2015 BMW 2 Series, which are very nice). They spent a lot of time going over EVERY scratch and making notes. We watched them load our cars into the covered trailers. They were very careful and handled our cars like they were their own. There were already a few really nice cars in the trailer, and that made us feel better. They explained everything they were doing along the way. The entire process for both cars took 90 minutes, and off they went. Their office stayed in touch with us while our cars were being transported. They arrived in South Carolina before we did. They said they could put them in a local storage facility for us. However, Raoul was nice enough to hang onto our cars for a few days until we arrived in South Carolina. He brought them right to the AirBnB we were staying at. Our cars were in perfect condition upon arrival. I saw quite a few reviews about theft, but that seems more a fault of the car owners and not the transport companies. I mean - what do you expect if you leave personal stuff in a car that's not going to be in your possession for a few weeks? I'm not condoning thievery, but come on. We were told to take ALL personal belongings out of the cars, which we did, and we had no problems. In summary - we had a very positive experience. This is an update to my previous review, which still stands, and a response to Jillian, don't be fooled by her comments. I reported all of the damage to their claims adjuster at the time of delivery, as I was instructed to. Not entirely sure how someone would report damage before delivery. The pre-shipment inspection, which was thorough enough to include any and all minor paint imperfections, proves the car was nearly flawless when it was picked up. The two rock chips and minor scratch she refers to were documented on it. My delivery inspection noted all the damage that was not present when the vehicle's pre-shipment inspection was performed, and only the damage that occurred during transport, when my vehicle was in their carrier's care custody and control, is on the body shop estimate, which excludes the two rocks chips and minor scratch. What is truly a shame is that when damage occurs and you report it, instead of holding the carrier responsible, they will falsely accuse you of extortion, a crime, publicly, and make false accusations about what was reported to them and when. Fact is, if you are considering using All American transport, they have no insurance, the carrier they hired has a $5,000 deductible and neither are obligated to pay for repairs, if you ship in open transport. Open transport is an excuse to avoid any liability for damages to your vehicle. Anything can, at their sole discretion, be classified as "normal wear and tear". The lower estimate for $566 was a courtesy to me since I had, what turned out to be true, the feeling All American would not pay for the damages, especially given their first offer was $150 dollars. The total repairs for damage during transport, paint and polish, are just under $1,600, they know this, and I have a 2nd estimate that is for nearly the same amount. If you ship with them and damage occurs, the pre-inspection vs what you report upon delivery will be meaningless, and the customer will have to use their own insurance to cover the repair costs or pay on their own, which is about the only truth in Jillian's comments. I have rejected their offer for reimbursement to partially repair my vehicle and/or to reimburse the deductible for my insurance to cover the damage. If I had any idea that $1,600 dollars worth of damage would be considered normal wear and tear to All American for a single trip from CA to CO, and that they would not be obligated, at all, to cover the repairs using the carrier's insurance, I would have never hired them. I don't know what zero deducible applies to, it's not the carrier's insurance, in my case that's $5,000. I have simply requested they reimburse me for the total repair cost to return my vehicle to the condition it was in when their carrier picked it up, nothing more and nothing less. However, Jillian is correct, they are not obligated at all to cover any damages, think about that if you are considering hiring them and what you are up against if damage occurs. Their own response, in private, is that the amount of damage to my vehicle is considered normal and not covered. Publicly they are now stating I didn't report the damage, which is not true, and they know it. I have all the documentation I need to be able to support what I reported and when. They refused my claim within a week of submitting it stating "We unfortunately cannot hold the carrier formally liable for damage which is more consistent with "normal wear and tear" than with the much more extreme damage that occurs during driver mistakes and equipment failures." Nothing was said about the damages not being reported until Jillian's response to my review almost three weeks later. Colorado Division of insurance was unable to get the carrier's insurance to cover the damages, not because they weren't liable, it's because they have a $5,000 deductible, which means their insurance provider is not obligated to pay or investigate a claim that is less. In order to get the carrier's insurance to pay, damages will need to exceed $5,000. Also, something else to consider prior to hiring All American, is your own insurance deductible. They will not get involved if the damages are less than your deductible. read more
