This place is only for the advanced folks who want to climb so noobs be warned. You'll have to learn how to tie a figure 8 to your climbing gear in order to belay. There is also not any autobelays either so if you're a noob, don't come. If you didn't come with any friends and they don't have a person to teach you their method to belay, you're screwed. Great place though with lots of space for yoga and weightlifting as well, just not very beginner friendly for climbing.

Had a great time checking out Movement Gym with a group of Ladies exploring the space. Movement has memberships as well as single day-passes for anyone just wanting to check things out. Staff gave us a tour of the awesome facilities (multiple areas with bouldering walls of varying difficulty, weight machines, practice walls, cardio equipment, etc)- this gym seems to have it all. We also got a quick demo from a staff member on how to fall properly and then we were climbing. A really fun place that is great for everyone from kids to adults, I'll definitely be back with to explore more of the space. It was a lot of fun.

So much fun, as a couple date, going with friends or by your self. When you do walk in they ask you to sign a waiver. If you want a tour that is perfectly fine. If not they explore as much as you need. There are different level for the climbing class. So it depends what's your level. It's very big so you can go multiple area. Purple is the easiest and beginners too. Highly recommend to start that first if your a newbie like me. Definitely will go here again

What a beautifully vibrant and modern new climbing gym. :) Movement had a promo in Nov: 30 days for $30, and so my bf and I snapped those up as soon as we were aware. The other climbing gym I frequent is Summit. I love both for different reasons. (Unfortunately for my wallet!) This location is ALL bouldering. There is no top rope or lead climbing - just a heads up. This also means it has so. many. bouldering. routes. :) I primarily boulder bc ya girl is afraid of heights haha. PROS + Bouldering (plenty of routes) + Downstairs lifting area with barbells /plates/benches and cages + Upstairs cardio and crossfit style gym area + Clean a f restrooms + Cubbies AND lockable lockers (no personal lock needed!!) + Saunas in the bathrooms What is not to love‽ Super excited to go more before the 30 days are out, and then decide whether or not to pause my Summit membership lol. It's also directly off of 75, so getting here is easy (as long as there isn't any traffic on 75... lol!) They're also integrated with the KAYA climbing app, so you can download that and track your attempts and sends (completed climbs). All the routes are there, AND they show the actual grade (eg V1 for the purple route you may be attempting). Will obviously be back. Prob tomorrow haha. :)

Similar to design district in the sense it takes a while to reset the routes. Overall amazing though. We recommend:)

    Ask the Community - Movement

Are there options for beginner rock climbers here? This location is near my place and I am hoping they have some options for me.

Yes!! Most certainly! They have vIntro and v0 courses for beginners! You can sign up for a free intro class for wither top roping or bouldering on the Movement website!

I have tried two classes from here and loved them! The instructors are very kind and patient as I…read moream new to the studio. The studio is very cleanly and at an easy location.

So, I have gotten into the habit lately of hitting up a yoga class of some sort in the evenings…read moreafter a long day at work, and before teaching my class in the early mornings. Thankfully, ClassPass has made this so much easier to switch it UP! As a part time fitness instructor with a very strong routine, I constantly find myself craving variety. This place has been on my hit list for a while and I was so happy to be able to finally go last night! And boy, am I glad I did. I tried the hot vinyasa class with Lesa and it was 60 minutes of hot and sweaty bliss. The room was packed and the VYBE was jumping! I was warmly greeted and even though I arrived a few minutes before class Lesa greeted me happily and showed me the ropes. They have towels and water/beverages for purchase. BYO yoga mat but they have those as well. The salt lamps in the studio were a beautiful touch and so were the essential oils. I parked my mat pretty close to the diffuser so I was LOVING the aromatherapy while I got my yoga on. Lesa's class was a booty kicker but she also broke it down and provided modifiers for those of us who aren't so limber but aspire to be (raises hand). Blame my tight endurance athlete hamstrings. At the end of the 60 minutes they provide you with essential oil infused cold towels. The Lakeside area is the perfect location, surrounded by luxury living as well as an abundance of retail shops. The community seems very tight knit here as well. Thankful I was able to come here and cannot wait to use my ClassPass to return for another hot class soon and very soon!!
