I was warmly welcomed by the staff, met Beth (the owner and lead therapist) for my initial evaluation, and started pool therapy the following Monday. As someone who enjoys swimming, I wasn't prepared for how incredible a warm-water therapy pool would feel. The moment I stepped in, my body relaxed. The warm water relieved pressure on my joints and spine, allowing me to move with an ease I hadn't experienced in years. After living with severe chronic pain from a work-related injury for more than 15 years, I refused to accept chronic pain as my norm, and honestly, I'd forgotten what it felt like to move without constantly guarding my body. Aquatic therapy helped change that. If you've never tried aquatic physical therapy, don't assume it's just water aerobics. She came across as pushy when scheduling appointments, lacked transparency regarding billing, and seemed more focused on maximizing revenue than prioritizing quality patient care. What was especially disappointing was that when I specifically asked the office manager whether there was another clinic with a similar name closer to my home and workplace, I was told this was the only location & there were no other clinics of a similar name. This turned out not to be true. That experience felt misleading and left a negative impression. This was particularly perplexing when the actual therapists confirmed that I was correct and wondered why I was going to this clinic if there were closer options.
