Visited one time and i loved this Theater . Friendly staff, small hometown feel and the only one in Town . I just did a price check for, Michael playing in other Cities and those tickets were $6 more so better prices at this Theater then elsewhere . That's why i moved from the crowded, congested with big City traffic of. Santa Barbara . I always expect to get a reclining seat in a stadium theater nowadays, but not at this theater. That being said, the theater isn't all that bad. The sound system was rock solid and the picture on the screen was perfect. This little theater has more than reasonable prices for their concessions. I got a frozen cherry limeade for $4. This time around I saw Deadpool 2 with my coworkers. Half of us got concessions and the others just came to watch the movie. One thing that I can't complain about is that the theater is across the street from my hotel. My only serious complaint about this theater is that the bathrooms are a mess. You can't flush the urinals and they are full of un-flushed urine. All of the urinals are full of URINE! Besides that, not a bad theater. read more

I think this is the ONLY movie theater in Lompoc. Don't be fooled by my rating on place. I really liked the place considering where I was (IT"S LOMPOC). The tickets are cheap. The buttered POPCORN is amazing! (should've got the large bucket. RAWR)... AND you know those "Kernel Season's" (that's only .9 oz ) you can buy for $1.50 at movie places like century theaters .. They have a self-serve bar of them, and you can put in AS MANY AS YOU WANT! (as many as you want!!!) I love free things =D heheh... They lost a star because they don't have hot dogs on their menu. (i'm sorry.. i really do hate taking away stars) They only show four Movies at a time. Which sucks because I do love to have options. I would've taken another star for that.. but it's LOMPOC ... lol The rooms are very cool, because I'm so use to century theaters and amc. I really get a kick out of unusual things (well just things im not use to seeing). The rooms have a old-school feel to it. In one room, the seats are not centered .. it has an aisle right down the middle and you have seats on the left and right side of the room. Seats are very big and comfy, but they are old school seats right.. so the arm rest do not come up. =( which is sad when you cant cuddle with your boo thang... lol i would've taking another star for that but it's LOMPOC...lol I'm not really from lompoc, but I do visit sometimes ...so if you live in Lompoc, and and dont wanna drive far to see a movie, this would be your only choice. The place is a movie theater. Bathrooms are a bit worse for wear, lines can be long if you are coming on a popular night or for a movie opening. Snack prices aren't cheap but not as expensive as other theaters . Staff is friendly, seats are comfortable enough. Could use an update but it is well maintained. So my husband and I went to The Movies ostensibly to watch something. Looked like we were gonna be alone until this dude comes stumbling in muttering to himself, making all kinds of noise with some paper. Had some kind of light I thought was his phone. It got quiet as the previews continued. Next thing I know right in front of me this jackass engages his lighter. My husband asks him to turn it off. He says he can't see. The hubby tells him he's not going to use the lighter in the theater. Dude asks him what's his problem. My husband tells him to sit down and stop with the lighter. Duder is still ranting so my hubby goes out to get one of the workers. They take their sweet time and we're not feeling comfortable with this drunk ass so we get up and leave. At the door one of the workers says someone is going to "talk" to this drunk. I tell her you need to do a lot more than talk to him and we just want our money back because we're not sitting in that show with this drunk guy who should have never been let in. We got passes, but why would you allow an obviously drunk person to enter in the first place?? So we went back to see the movie we didn't see because of the "impaired" man, but before we went in my husband talked to the manager about our experience. She relayed that they'd had to call the police to have the man removed from the premises. She was more than nice about the entire fiasco and gave us popcorn and a drink on the house. It seems they will update how they respond to other incidents like this one for their patron's safety. Thank you! read more

Nice to have a theater close by. There are only four theaters which isn't bad at all, however, it's not an updated theater that we are all used to but it gets the job done. Small theater, great for an afternoon cinema. No stadium seating but there really isn't a bad seat in the theater. read more

Not bad movie theater for a small little town . I mean it's better than the old one . The only problems I have with this place is that it's not stadium seating so when a tall person sits in front of me I have to move to be able to see the movie . And it's hard to move when my feet are stuck on the sticky ground . But other than that it's fine . read more

I still like going here. They are currently doing some upgrades to the lobby and I'm sure that means they will continue through out the theater. It's nice to see a movie in Lompoc now and then instead of always having to drive out of town. Ticket prices aren't bad and concession prices are better than most as well. SO RUDE!!! Went to the 4:30pm of Moneyball today with my best friend (who was visiting from out of town). I wanted him to see Lompoc in a good light so I took him to The Movies thinking it was better than Gemini. The movie began and the volume was almost completely off. After a few minutes I went to the lobby to ask them to turn it up and the guy barely acknowledged me. Nearly 90 minutes into the film the projector jammed and the film melted on screen. Again, I went to the lobby and told the same person. He said an obscenity under his breath and rushed past me to the projector booth. It took him 25 minutes to get the film running again and when the movie was over we went to the counter to find the same person there again. I asked to speak to a manager and he said "I am the manager." I stated that we were thoroughly unhappy with the experience considering the amount of times I had to exit the theater during the film and the 25 minute wait and the least they could do was give us vouchers for another screening. He immediately got extremely nasty and told us "If we wanted a refund we should said something when the projector broke." After sparring with him for a few minutes my best friend and I left extremely upset by his attitude. Though I live in Lompoc I often go to Santa Barbara to see movies in theaters. I thought it would be fine to save the drive time and support my home town but now I know why I should have spent the extra 45 minutes going South. So excited to see Beauty and the Beast! We got there early for the 1:30 show, they told us they don't open until 1. Reasonable, no problem. We wait around in the parking lot until 1, go back up to the door. The lady working there apologies, sorry for the inconvenience, but I can't turn on the computer until the manager gets here so I can't sell you tickets yet. Ok, no problem, people can be late sometimes. So we wait until 1:20 for a 1:30 movie, we can see the employee calling the manager trying to make it work. To no avail. When going to a movie costs more than a college education (KIDDING, but close ), it was nice to find the $6.50 "Fiesta Tuesday" price. Website says "except special engagements" and I was happy to find out that seeing the latest Star Wars movie didn't qualify for a "special engagement". This theatre isn't as fancy pants as Edwards or Fandango, but for a small town like Lompoc, it's just fine. It was relatively clean, adequately staffed, and employees are functionable. read more

Only choice in Lompoc but the sound system, at least in theater #3 speakers are horrible! The high and mids in the center speakers are so distorted making watching the movie not so great. I have had other poor experience before with there sound system in the past. Prices for popcorn and sodas too high as well. For a small town, this movie theater is top notch. The popcorn is fresh, it's always clean, and you can get a seat for opening weekend. The staff is pretty nice. The Movies Lompoc reminds me of going to the local 4-plex for dates when I was a teen before the monstrous 30 screen AMC swallowed up the local business. So what if it's a little out of date when you hit the bathrooms? It's cleaner than some of the theaters in Santa Barbara (Paseo Nuevo is sticky and gross). We prefer to support the local movie theater, especially when they went through the major expense of buying all digital equipment. The Gemini couldn't keep up with the drive to digital and shuttered. So now we only have 4 screens in town. If you want more screens and a bigger sound system, get yourself to Santa Maria & quit your whinin'. Santa Maria is about a 20 minute drive, or what you would drive in traffic to get to a bigger movie complex in a bigger town. read more

Wow - this place has gone downhill. We saw Batman vs superman today and the place was very uncomfortable - no air conditioning at all - very hot and stuffy and smelly, until it appeared to come on about halfway through the movie. Also, every single urinal (water-free style) was clogged and full of urine - disgusting. I won't be coming back - it's worth the drive to Santa Maria to avoid basic issues like this. read more

Checked movie times online and verified showing of Entourage at 4:30 PM. When we got there, we waited in a rather long line. When we arrived to pay, the clerk told us the movie had been bumped to allow an extra showing of Jurassic World which had opened this weekend. No sign in box office or anywhere else to warn people of this. All online sources verified Entourage should have been showing. Employee apologized, but it was hollow considering the trouble we went through to get there. read more

I came tonight to watch Tarzan, saw there would be a showing for the life of pets at 10. I asked to make sure it would start tonight, and the staff said that it would. Me, as well as others waiting about 40 min only to hear them saying to another customer that walked in that it was not showing tonight and it would tomorrow instead. Completely wasted our time because of the very incompetent staff. During the time waiting someone walked into another showing without paying while also saying loudly that she normally walks in without paying, but the staff were too busy discussing personal problems with other people while using foul language. It's very unprofessional. Santa Maria is worth the drive than this dirty place. read more
