Not bad. I havent been here in years and it feels alot cleaner than before. Outside while ordering food, it was a little warm but they have so many different popcorn choices. You can even get nachos with doritos or hot cheetos. The popcorn even has cheetos or hot cheetos and carmel popcorn too. Of course they have the regular ones in the back. The theatre we were in felt like a classroom bwcause it had the little tables. The seats also recline so its comfy. AC was on blast and i saw someone with a blanket too. Plenty of parking in the neighboring structure and some street parking available too. I recently visited Regal Cinemas to watch The Obsession and had an enjoyable experience. One of my favorite things about Regal is the comfortable reclining seats, which make watching movies much more relaxing. The theater was generally nice, although I do wish the seating area had been a little cleaner. I noticed some popcorn left near my seat, which took away from the experience a bit. However, aside from that, I had a great time watching the movie and enjoyed the overall atmosphere. I would definitely come back for another movie, especially because of the comfortable reclining chairs. read more

Why a 4 star review...? Because I got tickets to see the Mandalorian & Grogu Movie in ScreenX. But when the movie began, there was No ScreenX projections on the side of the theater throughout the whole 2-hour movie. I asked the employees in the end and they said that they were sorry about it. And they gave us FREE Ticket Vouchers for our next movie here at Regal Cinemas. Sadly we couldn't get a refund cause they said it was too late, but hey! FREE Ticket Vouchers still sound great!!! Our second visit within the past month. Today, we saw "Michael" and enjoyed it. This theater is closest to us and although it was an Edwards for years, it has been rebranded as part of the Regal chain. You can order tickets from the self-service kiosk in the lobby with no service charge (if you do via mobile order, you'll be charged $2). You can also order snacks and the pick your order up at the counter. We were pleasantly surprised that all theaters have been refurbished to include stadium seating with recliners! It's a really nice experience and makes you feel like you're watching a movie in your own living room (kinda, sorta). Seats are comfortable and you can't even see the rows directly in front/back of yours! This helps a great deal when peeps use their phones and the glare is so bright (one of my pet peeves)! In all, the place meets all movie needs. Has always been clean and welcoming. Parking in the back or use a DT Alhambra parking structure then go to a restaurant before or after the show! read more

Back at this Regal theater, aka Renaissance Theater. This place is located in a very busy street and intersection on Main St and Garfield. There's a structure for parking though it can get crowded sometimes. They have a decent concession stand with drinks, popcorn, and various snacks. Some of maybe all the rooms have been renovated. I remember the old school cloth seats. Now it's like leather with mechanical reclining. It's a decent movie experience on the standard screen. Best to buy tickets in advance to select your seat. Plus if you're a regal member you rack up points for rewards. Afterwards you can grab a bite at the many restaurants on Main St. definitely a plus for this area. A few times now, I've made the mistake of thinking a film was at my local theatre in Pasadena and been wrong...and then saw there was nothing else I wanted to see there or at the 2 theaters near by, because they are all showing the same films! Lame. So, I've zoomed down to Regal Alhambra which has had a much better selection of films. It has been easy to park in the outside lot North of the theater, if the parking garage looks full. I like their comfortable seats. And the staff is friendly. A shout-out to Skyler, who was taking tickets at the door and was informative and helpful. I had tickets for both myself and my friend and he assured me he'd spot my friend and send him in, since he'd already seen my two tickets, so I could go get in the concession line. Great service! Thanks Skyler! One upgrade would be if they got their license to offer adult beverages. However, there is a restaurant only steps away that has a bar open until midnight, if you want a drink and to sit and talk about the movie after. read more

Came here on a Sunday to watch the Haikyuu movie with a friend! Had two regal tickets gifted to me years ago, so glad I finally had an excuse to use them. Booked my seats a few days in advance online, and was pleasantly surprised that the screening of the film lasted a few days. Normally anime movie screenings, when not the most popular shounen series, literally only screen for a day or two on Thurs/Fri, but the Haikyuu screening had dates for Sat/Sun too. Grabbed tickets for a Sunday screening at around noon. What I didn't love was that redeeming my free tickets required me to still pay an online service fee...I know it's not this specific locations fault, and it an upper management thing, but it's still pretty messed up imo =_=. I'm sure I could've used them to get the seats in person at the box office, but I wanted to guarantee good seats. It is what it is though. Plenty of free parking in a structure right next to it. Scanned the barcode on my phone, and was in immediately with no hassle. Very quiet day with very little people. My friend and I were the only other people in our theater screening, minus another couple a few rows above us, and that was super awesome. Didn't love the 15 mins worth of ads they made us sit through though. Reminder to myself to show up like 10 mins after the supposed movie start time to save my own time. But otherwise, the movie was great! The subtitles were wonky in some places, but I think that much be a localization issue? Laughed in many parts, held back tears in others because I didn't want my friend to see my cry. Seating was kind small and uncomfortable, but I think that's the standard. The new seats are comfy and makes the movie experience more enjoyable. When purchasing the tickets it's really easy because you are able to do it online and pick your own seats. Therefore you don't have to rush to theater to stand in line and order your tickets. You can purchase at your convivence. When you order large drink and popcorn, you are allowed 1 free refill. The parking garage is pretty big and has several levels. Parking shouldn't be an issue. Each space is wide. Establishment: The establishment itself is very clean, neat, and tidy. I rarely write reviews for theaters. This might even be the first time. I m surprised by how clean the recliners were. Newer and cleaner than other theaters I have been too. The recliners were super comfortable as well. It made the movie extra good. They do need to guide people on how to get tix for walk ins lol We didn't really know where to get tix since the front was closed. We had to find a kiosk to purchase. There was only 1?? Decent place to watch movies in Alhambra. I've watched over a dozen movies here and it's always decent. This time around it was busy as they were hosting the Stranger Things Finale. It came with a $11 food voucher and the concessions operators were confused how it worked and told me I had to use the vouchers separately when many other people were adding them together. A clear miscommunication between the staff. Nonetheless the foods okay/overpriced and the movie seats were good. Overall decent experience every time. read more

Been coming to this regal consistently for over a year. Last summer (2025) they updated all the theaters to include reclining seats with a swivel desktop for your snacks. I honestly haven't had a problem with this theater. The staff is always friendly, courteous, and efficient with ordering concessions. It can definitely get chaotic (15 min wait) but that's expected with a big theater and multiple showtimes. They recently introduced a pickup counter for mobile orders which seems like it will help the lines move more efficiently. The areas in and around the theater are fairly clean, with occasional spills of course. The staff seems to be on top of cleanliness as well, however, the bathrooms are average. In the women's bathroom there's like 20 stalls luckily but sometimes there's a bunch of toilet paper on the floor or paper towels piling up in 1 trash where there's about 3 available. The countertop pretty much always has water splashed around but there's so many people going through it's kind of just what it is. It never smells terrible so that's great. My partner and I are regal unlimited members so we've been to the movies like 30 times last years and they continually make improvements. They have expanded the menu, cleanliness, efficiency, and the comfort of the movie going experience. I'd recommend this theater to friends and family especially because the area is walkable, free parking, and can get dinner or do something the area! read more

Seen the Michael movie both at AMC IMAX and this location and the sound quality here is 5x better! Staff is friendly as well. read more

Everything was clean, workers were kind and helpful but all the rows in theatre 9 (I don't know if they're all like this) have these half walls for separation and if you recline your seat even just a little, you can't see the bottom part of the screen. Parking? Ample in the structure at the back! And for FOUR hours, too! That's enough for two movies if you're so inclined. Four Hours on Main Street is more than enough time for a movie and food, too! This Edwards location is a chill theatre that can have questionable cleanliness but comfortable seats. Tickets can be purchased online for a cheaper rate than in-person, and they don't always check tickets / pockets - a plus? The latter, definitely! Could see this being a huge pro to coming to this theatre versus others. Overall, outside of purchasing food and drinks, there is almost no interaction with the staff (including ticket purchase / check). Maybe this was the case for a weekday afternoon, either way... score! read more

First time at a Regal Edwards other than the one in Granada, and I got to say.. I really love the upgraded recline lounge chairs!! For a Regal, I never expected there to be exceptional seating because of past experiences. It felt very fresh and clean coming into our theatre #9. Regal has awesome special and unique screenings for music artists sometimes, and that's why me and my boyfriend got to come here!! Booking the tickets online were easy and the prices at a Regal are very affordable compared to other theatres. That's why the seating experience was even more amazing!! It was comfortable and there's a lap desk to have snacks on. The only unfortunate thing is there are these blue LED lights on the interior side of the chairs that illuminate even when the movie plays, so you can see all of them in the corner of your eyes so it can be distracting during the movie. Also please bring EARPLUGS!! The movie theatre was EXTREMELY loud and you can hear how loud the movies are when you walk through the hallway. I actually used the sound decimeter app on my watch and there were moments where it reached past 90-100! Average was at 80 which is damaging after just 30 minutes so please do prepare especially if you have sensitive ears. Nonetheless, for the pricing and the comfort of this specific Regal branch, I definitely would not mind coming back here! read more

This theater was just okay. The location is great -- perfect for a date, with spots nearby to walk, eat, and shop or browse a bit before or after the movie. Unfortunately, the experience had a few issues. I tried using my rewards for a free medium popcorn and had them scan my account, but I was still charged full price. I didn't notice until afterward, which was frustrating. The movie was supposed to start at 3:50 PM, but it didn't actually begin until 4:24 PM due to a long stream of ads and trailers. Even more frustrating, about five minutes before the movie finally started, they turned the lights on and gave a speech asking for donations to a charity -- something that felt more like PR for the company than anything meaningful. Asking customers to donate at checkout is already a marketing tactic; doing it again in person while charging $30 per seat just felt gross. Also, the lights near the arcade were flickering, which made the space feel poorly maintained. Overall, decent location, but not worth the price for the quality of the experience. read more

Haven't been to an Edwards theatre in ages but came to watch a movie due to convenience since I had a sudden craving for pho a few blocks down. Things haven't changed much since the last time I was here except there's less staff but more self-service kiosks. Cleanliness is a 6/10 but customer service is definitely a 10/10 ! Everyone that works here is so friendly and helpful! How do they maintain that positive energy near midnight? Parking is 10/10 since there's a HUGE parking structure located in the back. Admission price average to about $28/pp with a $2.89 fee. Definitely come on days when there are promos! Overall, it was a good experience and I will definitely be back! read more

Senior brain fart. I had a senior moment at the concessions, I walked away from my credit card, left it in the reader after the shell shock of the high costs of concessions. I'm in the industry, so I usually go to indie screenings, but it's my birthday so I wanted to see MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FINAL RECKONING as movies should seen on the bigger screen. Yes, the reclining seats! Yes, the moveable tray. Yes the huge sound. YES yes yes, going to the movies again -- a huge pleasure. BUT THIS IS AN SHOUTOUT TO A STELLAR EMPLOYEE. If all the Regal employees are like Binh, then this is THE PLACE to see a film. raise the roof with this shoutout for Binh. I would like to commend Binh at the Alhambra Regal for the 6:55 showing for going beyond the call of duty. I had left my credit card at concessions after making my purchase, but I was unaware of this and happily saw the MISSION IMPOSSIBLE movie, a nearly three-hour movie. AFTER the movie, Binh saw me as I was nearing the exit about to enter the street more than 15 minutes after the movie had ended. He must have been watching for me, probably giving up as I took my time looking at the poster displays as I left, heading for the ladies room (those drinks are huge and even bigger for .50 cents more.) Binh saw me, he approached me and asked me my name and informed me I had left my Visa card in the reader by accident. OMG! We went to customer service, where he had placed with Lost n Found for safekeeping. I showed him my DL for an ID, and then after verifying, he gave me my card. So not only did Binh render fast and friendly concession service [asking me if I wanted candy or bigger soda for 50 cents more), but he actually WAITED until after my movie was over, AFTER I had gone to the Ladies Room, AFTER I had taken a selfie with a poster, to watch for my exit. He stopped me from exiting, and he returned my credit card. That's impeccable service and he deserves a commendation or reward for rendering that extra effort. He cared about my movie experience, that it wouldn't be tainted by worry once I had discovered my card missing. He's a great representative of Regal. Good job Binh!!! read more

Came again for DDay at their Imax. Screen was smaller than expected compared to hollywood and Irvine Imax. But came with friends and the theater did a bts album giveaway and welcomed us. They even handed out candy after the show. I think that was super cool and fun of them! They didnt have anymore of the exclusive merch compared to other theaters so I hope they can get some more buying power next time. read more

It's no secret that movie theaters aren't doing well since the pandemic. So you'd think theaters like the Regal Edwards Alhambra Renaissance would do more to welcome moviegoers. I went a month ago and decided to buy popcorn and a soda before the show. There were four cast members working three feet away from the concession counter restocking the candy... and while each of them looked up at me, not one offered to take my order. I was the only person in line. I waited 10 minutes and finally left to go into the theater. That's when a manger ran up to me to ask if she could help; I told her my movie was starting so... no, not anymore. This weekend, my movie started and the top third of the theater (including where I was seated) was bathed in bright light. The projectionist left the overhead light on in the booth above us. Everyone was uncomfortable and I offered to go and get help. That meant walking the full length of the complex to reach a ticket-taker who seemed completed disinterested in helping me. Finally she found someone and he promptly left me to go to the men's room. Back to the ticket-taker where another person was asked to help me. I went back to the theater and it took a good while for the situation to be rectified. Y that time, people were getting up and trying to relocate themselves to a darker part of the theater. Why spend money going to a Regal theater when you can buy the movie for the same price and control the quality of your environment??? I will return to the Renaissance on occasion when it's convenient but mostly I've given up on it. read more

Went to see an 8:00 screening of The Housemaid on Dec. 23rd (2025). The Lobby was disgraceful. Popcorn all over the floor with no one with a broom in sight. There seem to be enough employees for someone to be sweeping up and tending to keeping the lobby clean. Then in theatre 3, a speaker blew and began a loud knocking sound. An employee was told. A few minutes later someone came in, stopped the movie (that was only 5 minutes or so in) and said they would fix the problem. They did not fix the problem, they turned the sound up on the film instead. We left and got passes for another time. What should have happened was to shut down film and give everyone passes. As a manager, customer service should always come first and that includes a clean environment for paying patrons. read more

I have not been back to Regal Cinemas in Alhambra, CA for a while. To my surprise, OMG, reclining seating!! I mean, I've seen movies in theater with recliners (such as IPIC in Pasadena and theaters in Asia) but in theaters like Regal, first time ever! The seat is very comfortable (cushy) and huge, not to mention you can recline fully AND adjust your leg position. The snack table is big, you can have a large popcorn plus whatever else without worrying about things falling off or dirtying your clothes (you would have to put the snacks on your lap if not for the snack table). Oh ya, the drink cup is also big enough to fit a large soda cup nicely. I am totally impressed. The only reason why I gave those a 4 star is because 1. Please check the volume. We saw Thunderbolt and the volume was extremely high that it took away the experience. 2. Please have enough people at the counter for ticketing and snack. There was no one when we went and we still had to wait for a person to attend us...even though 3 people saw us standing in the line (we didn't want to walk up to the counter without being called). 11/26/2025 - 10:45pm... VERY POOR disgusting service by Michael Roque assistant manager. Zero respect for his patrons... Blatantly rude, tells me that the kitchen is closed. He refused to make me a pizza. I had to demand him in anger to get a pizza, until he says he will go ahead and make the pizza. As a paying customer / guest at your theater hot food should be offered at all times until the last movie showtime. Other Regal theater locations never closed kitchen until last show time. Every visit to this theater they always say that the kitchen is closed and they won't prepare hot food. I voiced my complaint to him and he was just extremely rude and unprofessional. I will no longer be patronizing this theater location unless it's a last resort and the other theater playing the movie I'm interested in due to his very poor management of concessions. He eventually did agree to make the pizza. It arrived to my seat burnt and disgusting and he even decided to speak to me in a disrespectful tone while my movie was halfway through... Barf, very unfriendly Regal management and service. No thanks! I went back to him and he said "I approached him rudely and demanded the pizza," but sure he gave it to me free. We came to watch Demon Slayer in IMAX (screen 13) and came out of this experience traumatised. The movie, the screen, the seats, all amazing. The issue was the volume. Ten minutes into the previews and my wife left the theater. I lasted another 5 minutes into the movie before heading out myself to find someone who would turn down the volume to a safe level. By then, I was feeling nauseous (fight or flight kind of feeling). Besides missing part of this amazing film after paying $50 for two tickets, the disturbing part was that no staff member was there to make sure the volume was at a safe level. 8 hours later and I am still recovering from the headache caused by those 20 hellish minutes. Regal, if you want movie goers to fill theaters again, get the basic things right. read more
