Moving Forward - the name really resonated with me. From the first call - Kristi was courteous, polite and very helpful. I had only given them semi-short notice and they made it happen for me... and so quickly as well. I basically had a 1 bedroom apartment to get moved. They had it loaded up, wrapped, transported - and moved into the new place in about 2.5 hours. The guys that did the move were so courteous and moved swiftly to make this, seemingly the easiest move I've ever experienced. The fun stops there. Everything made it to the new apartment in good time - but upon inspection after unpacking - there was so much damage. I lost the use of a very pricey, very Important video monitor that I need for my work. It was dented in the middle because it had been laid flat and then heavy items put on top of it. Much of my furniture had deep dents, knocks and chipped paint or varnish. Solid wood items - wrapped well, or so I thought until I unwrapped the padding and plastic that they were packaged with. Additionally, when originally moving out of the previous place, I had gifted some screen prints and sunglasses and some items that I didn't necessarily need any longer - to one of the movers. He asked if he could have an original painting that I had near the stack of prints - I explained clearly that it was coming with me - as it was pretty pricey and an original, one of a kind. He seemed to understand. When I unpacked my things - the painting was gone. It had been about 3 weeks since I had moved - i was away for work, and life happens! :) I messaged Kristi about the situations and told her I was originally willing to let some of the damages slide, because I was overall pleased with swiftness of the move. Once I saw the monitor was damaged and items were missing, on top of all of the furniture damage - I had to reach out. I explained to her the various situations and what had occurred in terms of the specific mover asking about the painting. I told her additionally, that he was very reckless when moving my things .. dropping and running over wooden picture frames and items that would fall off if his dolly. I had to call him out a few times and he just kept on recklessly moving things. His eyes were a lil red. Eventually, Kristi agreed to pay for the cost of the monitor and promised to check "the storage" for the missing painting and a few other small things I had mentioned were gone. (Moving dollies of my own, rugs, and some other artwork) It took a few weeks but the initial payment for the monitor was made via Western Union - then weeks passed and finally got the rest of the payment for the monitor. The promises of "looking through the storage" to locate my things - went on for literally weeks and months. At one point, I was accused of allowing an 'ex girlfriend' to make the damages and that I was holding "Moving Forward" accountable for - that my stuff "wasn't in such great condition to begin with", and that I messaged them more than 30 days past the move date. All not true. I was also accused of only wanting to deal with this "on my own terms" ... what other terms are we going by if not mine - considering I'm the paying party and seeing as the original agreement and situation has become quite an ordeal - when it was on "Moving Forwards" terms. I mean the damage alone... Statements were also made by this 'moving company' and Kristi specifically, implying that they would look through "the storage". Kristi finally claimed that she spoke to the movers from that day and they said "it's definitely in storage" - speaking of the painting and my missing things. I asked why would it be in there when i had a specific and direct conversation about not taking the painting. Also, previous statements from Kristi implied that they would not have taken the items to begin with, but she would look through the "8 storage units" they have. Now months have gone by. The month of October - then November - then December - now January and they have stopped responding to my requests to know the status of the situation. Not cool. This was my experience. I resisted writing this in any negative tone - this is what happened. I don't like to mess with self-made people trying to get ahead and have a side business or whatever their motives are - but theft is theft and I have it in writing that they have the items. They just refuse to own up, give me my things, or compensate me. In retrospect, I didn't read all of the reviews prior to booking "Moving Forward" I see now that this isn't the first instance of things coming up missing or items being damaged by them. I'm telling you now, so you don't make similar mistakes in this regard. I will be filing for the remainder of my items, the move, and the damages. Better luck to you and please consider your movers carefully. read more

Found Moving Forward NV through yelp. Spoke with Kristi and told her I needed to move an 1800sq ft house. She stated no problem and got me scheduled a week in advance of my move date. The date came and Marcus arrived with two additional movers. They took the time to blanket and wrap everything. Very professional the entire time. When the team came across personal items such as receipts and even some blank checks they handed then over right away. The staging went great and then it was time to move. We had some very heavy bedroom sets and my wife's desk. Marcus and other two movers whom I apologize cannot remember their names took as much care as one could give getting those heavy items down. It took a few hours but the entire moving truck was filled. Time to unload and again they were amazing. It was late in the evening and Marcus made sure to turn off the big diesel truck so not to disturb my new neighbors. I thought that was very courteous on his part. They brought in everything and unwrapped it. They asked where we wanted everything as they brought it in and all the time very nice and professional. Sure there was some nicks and scratches on a couple of items. I figured that would happen. I'm sure if me and a couple of friends tried to move my furniture there would have been holes in the walls. Quite the opposite with Marcus and the other two movers. It was a pleasure having Moving Forward NV make my transition to my newly purchased home. I was a little nervous about using a smaller moving company but found the service to be brilliant. I needed some people who would disassemble and reassemble furniture, unmount and mount a tv to the wall, and do it all in short notice - from a three bedroom apartment on the third floor to a house. First off, I found this company on Yelp, and compared them with all of the other moving companies the app would let me. Most did not disassemble and reassemble. Most did not unmount and mount televisions. And the ones that would provide the services I needed would do so for 300+ bucks an hour - an obviously ridiculous amount. These guys charged me 100 bucks an hour with a 75 dollar fee for the television. They disassembled all the furniture, wrapped all the furniture in protective padding, wrapped it in plastic, and carefully moved all of the furniture into the awaiting truck. This was no easy feat as I have collected a ton of junk from my tours overseas, and am happy to say they did it extremely quickly. Reassembly of the furniture and everything else went extremely well also. These guys were fast, had their own tools, and put everything together quickly. The tv (which I was most worried about) was handled with extreme care and expertise. Absolutely none of my belongings were damaged in any way. I cant stress enough that this company handled me at short notice, were extremely efficient in their work, safe in their work, and were professional at all times. She was packed and ready to go they just only had to load. a binding contract not to exceed of​ 1850.0 after they picked up her stuff all of the sudden became :$ 5900.00 dollars we didn't add nothing to the list that the driver was holding in his hand. she had no choice we had to borrow money to pay the movers after​ we paid them in ca then they started to unload and her boxes were soaked in water and her furniture was all wet . I love the concept of being able to request a quote via the Yelp app. Moving Forward was always one of the first ones to respond! Extremely quick and once informed of an out of state move, Kristi seemed excited to do it! She informed me that they would need to come out to get a more accurate quote for me which has been the norm for all moving companies I have been in touch with. The time I called they were in the process of moving another customer out of state but could schedule a time on Sunday for 10am but would confirm with me on Saturday pending how their move went. I received a text letting me know they wouldn't be able to make it by 10am but asked to come in the evening. I agreed with no issue and even told her I will send her pictures (since all my items were stored in a garage) and the amount of boxes to her. She was pleased with that response but as soon as I sent her everything the excitement and communication starts to crumble. After the pictures were sent there was no response. I texted again that Sunday asking if they were coming, no response. I did not hear from them until Monday evening when she asked for my availability and stating that she appreciated the pictures but the guys still need to come out. I provided her my availability in which we agreed to another evening time slot. That day, I texted her at 530 to confirm for a 6pm arrival and was provided with a message stating her car is broken they won't be able to make it out until the weekend! Mind you, the time slot was for Tuesday and now she is asking for a weekend. Who's to say she wouldn't reschedule again!!?? I felt as soon as my items were provided she was turned off by the small load request and long haul but failed to tell me directly. Instead it was as if they were dragging me around. Don't put to much time or energy into getting a quote from them. There are a lot more people out there who will value your time and interested in your business. read more

This was our first time using movers and after this we will never go back to doing it ourselves!! We needed movers last minute and received Kristi's info from a family member. I was referred after inquiring on moving services from my Uhaul receptionist. I was very unsure about having strangers move my sons home but really didn't want to do the move with jus two of us. After speaking with Marcus I decided to have him and his guy do a portion of the move which they estimated at approximately 3-4 hrs. It was a very last minute request on my part as well and they arrived about an hour after I talked to him. He was able to complete my move in 2 hrs. He was AMAZING !!! Very professional and super fast. He charged me on an hourly rate yet he never slowed down. He was full speed the entire time all while being super careful not to damage anything. I then inquired and hired his wife Kristi to clean the apartment my son moved out of. Once again they amazed me. They were on time honest and trustworthy. They did a great job and the apartment is basically move in ready. Great people, awesome work ethic, just super sweet great people. I would definitely recommend them and use them again if I need to.
