I used them when downsizing from a house in Moreau to an apartment in Queensbury, and also with a subsequent cleanout of unwanted items from the house. We had our apartment packed up and moved into a POD at the PODS distribution facility an hour away. Tony, Zach, and Matt were great. The move took longer than we expected, but we might have had more stuff than we'd originally thought. Those guys loaded all of our stuff into one large POD when we thought it would take a large and small POD. Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience using Moving Made EZ. I secured their services for a family member. I had to travel for the weekend and three days later I noticed the damages and informed the owner. The 50" flat screen TV was broken and a glass coffee table was cracked, of which both were discarded. Photo's were submitted to owner however, after three emails his response was: "The protocol for our company is to notify and document the office of any damages immediately. The movers reported no damages, especially damages so blatantly obvious. Both are tenure employees very aware of damage protocol. We recently has Moving Made EZ help us with a local move, overall we were happy with their services. Although I received a general estimate and booked their services over a month in advance, one week prior to the move Josh came to the home and gave us a more realistic quote based on what he saw. Once I received the estimate, I have to say I was a little shocked at the cost based on what I had thought it would be, we have not moved over 10 years so prices have really gone up. After Josh left, with one week to go, I worked extra hard to get everything even more organized and labeled. We notified them that we just wanted 3 men and 1 truck instead of the 4 men and 2 trucks Josh had quoted. However, when they called 2 days before the move to confirm, they still had us down for 4 men and 2 trucks; they happily changed the order, again. The day before the move I had to call to ask what time to expect the men to arrive, as the admin never told me. I think a text notice stating arrival time would have been nice as people who are packing to move don't need another loose end to worry about? The guys were very polite and got right to work upon arrival. (As with most moving companies, they charge for the time needed to travel from their place of business to the residence they are moving and then back to their place of business when they are done, just so folks are aware). The men were very organized, hard working and very accommodating. We bought them hot lunches of their choice and gave them each a generous tip for their efforts. I used moving made ez for the third time this spring to move two houses into our current address. It was by far the best experience we have ever had with movers. Not only were the movers kind, polite, professional, and hard working--but they worked quickly and did the work for a very reasonable price. We moved two addresses into one house and there was A LOT of furniture. They took it all in stride and made the process painless. They treated all of our stuff like it was their own and made sure we were totally satisfied before they left. I have since recommended them to others and everyone has been beyond pleased. I flew in from San Diego to help my 80 year old father move to Burlington and I was very unhappy with the service from Moving Made EZ. I helped my dad do a lot of the packing before movers arrived, with the intention of saving him money (we cut a predicted 7 hour packing job to 2 hours). The day before the move, two boys arrived to help pack delicates (plates etc.). They worked at an hourly rate and these young men spent a lot of time engaging in non-essential / social conversation with each other. They were pleasant, however did not seem at all compelled to finish the job quickly. Same on moving day; time was spent with these boys socializing by the moving truck. Incredibly unprofessional. When the truck was almost entirely packed, I left briefly to drop things off to Goodwill before driving my dad to Burlington. When I returned, I realized the movers had left my dad's microwave!! I called them and they were actually unhappy to return to retrieve the item. One of the young men came in to get the oven, not wearing a mask, with an irritated attitude. When I asked him to wear his mask around my 80 year old dad, he REFUSED. When we arrived at the elderly residence in Burlington. other people were complaining about the professionalism of those movers. The young man continued to present with an irritated attitude. When the job was completed, I was shown a scratch pad and different handwritten forms charging the original amount. I had already spoken to the owner verbally about reducing the moving cost; I refused to let my dad give any money to these boys. John, the owner called me and was angry with the fact that I did not pay when the job was completed; I said I needed a written receipt with a breakdown of cost and could continue the conversation when I was home with the paperwork in front of me. I was in a public place; when John began screaming at me, I hung up the phone. The next conversation we had, a receipt emerged and he was agreeable to the payment I felt comfortable with. In the next few days, as I unpacked for my father, we realized that two leaves from his table were MISSING. They were removed from the table during the move and were NOWHERE in my dad's new apartment. I called the company and was told the truck had been emptied and the leaves were not found. If you care about your belongings, your wallet or your mental health, do not use this company. read more

This company damaged my property. Many items were missing. During and after the move the lead told me they were insured and I could file a claim countless times. I am a disabled, single mom. I tried to file a claim, but too much time had passed. Most recently, my bed collapsed with me in it because they did not assemble it properly at the destination. The company will not return phone calls. read more

This was the worst moving company I have ever had in my entire life And I have moved a lot. They scratched and took chunks out of my furniture such that I will have to redo many of the pieces I own. I called the company but of course there was no recourse. Actually they never even got back to me At when I called to complain. They sent to small a truck and the movers had to really pack everything in very tightly and were not careful with how they did it if you use them I would suggest you take before and after pictures in case you have a complaint. Also they broke my desk which was not reimbursed because it was particleboard. His desk had been moved many times without any problems. So definitely do not use them. The top of my small freezer which is was in perfect condition is a total wreck full of scratches and there is no way to repair that. I have to give one store apparently but actually they don't even deserve that! read more

A number of years ago I had to move my mother from her house in Ft. Lauderdale to Long Island, NY. It was $5,000 for 3 days work done by very nice women who work for Sharon Cofar. Sharon can be very nasty, when you think she's helpful, you ask a question and she responds w/sarcasm. The worst thing that happened was I had promised my father's tools (in a room connected to the kitchen) to the Miami Mission. My mother & I only left the house for 45 minutes during the 3 days her co.was working there. When we returned all the tools were gone & the room was swept clean!! Her people saw nothing. No thief sweeps a room clean. I went to call the mission to see if they came a day early & Sharon jumped in front of me, almost screamed we had to be done packing by 5pm & there was no time for that. Her action actually scared me. I so regret not calling the police immediately!! I've been told those tools would have reappeared fast. Whatever happened while my mother & I were out of the house, those things "disappeared" under her watch. There is a LOT more but that was my biggest regret. Just beware of ANY service you hire, watch, don't trust just b/c they're sr. movers. Stay there, WATCH!! One star b/c it won't post otherwise. read more

I recently moved from a rural area of the Glens Falls region to Saratoga Springs. I could not find any recommendations for reasonable movers until a friend recommended Moving made E.Z. I called John and was able to get a moving date that was within my schedule and the price was definitely reasonable. Two very personable young men arrived the day of the move and took great care with my antique pieces. They climbed stairs without complaining and worked diligently to get the move done quickly. I was completely moved in to my new address in less time than I thought it would take and the young men took care to get everything into my apartment just where I wanted it to be. These guys were great! Came on time, were courteous and friendly. They knew their job and did it well. We had new hardwood floors and they were careful and put the felt pads on our furniture for us.
