I also appreciate the mission behind their organization, and I highly recommend checking out their website to learn more. It's pretty awesome what they're doing. Scheduling was incredibly easy, and the entire process was stress free. The team was fast, friendly, professional, and took great care of my furniture. They also helped transport my belongings from Tucson to Phoenix, which was affordable and made the move so much easier. A special shoutout to my movers, Matt B., Aaron, and Johnny Y. Those guys were fantastic. They worked quickly, showed up on time, handled my belongings with care, and made the entire move completely stress free. If you're looking for a reliable moving company, I highly recommend giving these guys a call.

Even if you're already packed, they come prepared with extra boxes, wrapping, and anything you might need for those last‑minute items or unexpected loose pieces. That alone took so much pressure off. I also know being in someone's personal items can be a lot, and they handled everything with so much respect and care. Since everything was already packed up and I didn't even have water to offer during the move, I made sure to grab them Starbucks once we arrived, and it definitely hit the spot. This is one of the ways I can say THANK YOU! Super friendly, on time, and ready to go from the moment they arrived. What should've been a four‑hour move was done in three. I highly recommend Academy Movers for your next move, and after this experience, they've earned a client for life. A++++++ -J

This would be a one star review if the owner didn't call me back a 2nd time…read more Booked a small job (5 items) and, of course, they have a minimum: 3hrs + truck rental = $309. Was suggested to me by the rep I first contacted that they could take unwanted items to Goodwill (or charity of my choice) with the "extra time" that wouldn't be used on such a small job. When I booked the job (with the owner!) he reiterated that option also. I also told them that I would have a big job coming up in the near future - thinking they'd be on their best behavior. The truck driver/mover showed up and immediately said he had time constraints (more jobs) and it was up to his discretion if he took any items to Goodwill. When he got some "push back" he said he called the office and got no answer. So: two lies. There were no other jobs that day for him. Also: he *did* call the office and got into an argument with the owners wife. I asked for the owner to call me to discuss. My interaction with Kevin was not what I expected. At one point I even said "do you care at all about what I'm saying or just waiting for me to finish so you can get off the phone?!?" No apology, no interest in what I was saying... The owner called me back after some time - seems he got the opportunity to speak to his wife and to talk one-on-one with the mover. His attitude had changed quite a bit. The fact that he didn't initially believe me and blew me off is really frustrating. What is ultimately most important is that he's not going to replace this employee with someone who cares (and is honest). I'm sure no one is surprised that the next job is going to another business. Also: I'm out of state. The other people involved are all local. They will be using word of mouth to let everyone they know about their experience with "Help U Move".

Angels Moving and Classic Delivery was hired by Cranson's Upholstery (Tempe) to pick up a sofa and…read moreloveseat from my home that will be upholstered. Everything went smoothly from setting-up time for pick-up to the actual pick-up. The company is very communicative- leaving voice mails as needed, and providing a call prior to pick-up. I needed to make a change in day/time for pick-up and the scheduler was very accomodating. At the time of pick-up, the owner, Fred, readily introduced himself. He spoke with his two helpers- two younger gentlemen- about the need for being careful and surveying the area for best way to remove the items. Using the front door was out due to several sharp corners. I could tell Fred cared about his helpers as he was coaching/teaching along the way. The helpers were friendly and responsive to my comments. Upon leaving, I let Fred know how much I appreciated them all, and he talked about the need to hire people who had patience, and understanding that they were entering people's homes and the need for respect for the homeowner's property. Since the cost of the pick-up and delivery was included in the price of reupholstering my furniture, I don't have a cost or value to share. I can attest that if I ever require a mover for small items, this would be the company I would call.

I am appalled to see them selling puppies outside in 112 degree heat, for $200 a piece. That's…read moredisgusting. Why are these dogs sitting on cement all day burning their paws? The whole situation is disturbing. The woman said she has over 20 Chihuahuas puppies & pit-bull puppies. She's not exactly sure what they are. They're in the back of this filthy overcrowded yard on the side of the building and all you can hear is dogs barking, and crying. They're hot, exhausted, and one looked very small, very sick, and might even have mange. They are so incredibly neglected and mistreated. There wasn't even anyone outside watching them. They are stuck out in the heat to bake in the sun while the humans hang out inside. I will NEVER support a store or owner who would do this to animals for greed. Foul foul behavior. You should be ashamed of yourself.
