Dec 18, 2025. Mower Depot Waxahachie, Texas BEWARE Dishonest crooks, don't trust them.. believe the negative reviews... This is my experience and my opinion of this business... I took in my mower because in the past few days, it wouldn't start. I spoke to DANIEL S. I TOLD him I had just changed the oil, ordered an air filter, and I put in gas, so I didn't anything but it to start...I made it clear-not to do anything else... I told him I thought it had "gunk" in the carburator...I told DANIEL I'd changed the oil already, and not to put in an air filter as I was ordering one. He told me they required a $75 deposit, the carborator would take about an hour, so I would be paying for parts only on pickup. After 6 days, they hadn't called, so I called them. I spoke to DANIEL Settlemyer who said the mower hadn't been looked at but would this week...three days later - Thursday, a hispanic girl called and said it was ready, (NO ONE HAD CALLED ME-to get approval before work, as I requested). I got there half hour later. I know why they didn't call, they scam people...They said they had given me a tuneup, changed the oil, sharpen the blade (I DONT THINK THEY DID, as I had changed the oil 2 weeks before..(I bought the blade 4 mo ago, still new). I argued with Daniel because I DIDNT NEED AN OIL CHANGE OR BLADE SHARPENED and I HAD told him that WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF...AND, There was a charge for gas. Daniel said they drained my gas out and threw it away- charging a $5 disposal fee and $3.50 for more gas. Another lie...some of these things don't show up on receipt, I believe he lied about doing any work. He refused to take out the air filter & refund my money. ...There is an itemized cost to Pam Settlement for $50.00 and $6,25...she's a "counter person"according to the invoice...and the only one at the counter, apparently the hispanic person that called me. She's also the other person I told that I didn't want a tuneup... Now, I'm seeing a SCAM, and DISHONESTY-and a business that is DOESN'T conduct business ethically. ..unfortunately, this type of scam goes on all too often. Posting, your experience is the only way to run these unethical businesses out of business. UPDATE, 12-22-25, I decided to mow, it took 10 pulls to get it started, and sounded like it was was about to die, "gasping for gas"..TOTAL CROOKS who did nothing but scam me. read more

Took my 20 year old craftsman to mower depot in Waxahachie for a much needed tune up. It was ready for me to pick up when they said it would. I was impressed with the customer service as well. I will take my mower there from now own. This Bryan from cedar hill with a big thanks to them. read more

These people are TERRIBLE!!! We spent $200 for them to fix our mower, we used it once before today and realized it wasn't fixed. We took it back to them and they wanted another 75$ deposit because 30 days had lapsed which is all they warranty. We had a very rainy Spring so we couldn't mow enough to know the mower didn't work. This is the worst service of any place I have ever done buiseness. I purchased a new chain saw from them in Apr. , I did'nt need to use it until July. I got it out and it would not start. I cared it back to Mower Depot in Waxahachie, they could not get it to start,so I left it with them . they had it for two week. I picked it up on Tue. sept.21. They tryed to charge me $82.00 for repair. (not this is a saw never used) I let them know real quick that this is b.s. and I walked out with my saw. They are terrible. Paid over 1000 dollars of repairs in 6 month span. Paid 100 for delivery and they left zero turn outside my gate where it could be stolen. Very expensive and no clue about customer service. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. read more

Bought my Gravely here 3 years ago,and the PTO clutch went out literally one month after my warranty expired. Daniel stepped up to the plate, got my parts covered, had me fixed, and ready to go in 4hrs. He got this done even though they were backed up by 4 weeks of repairs. Cannot even give one star. Worst service ever. WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN! They ordered me a replacement safety switch for my riding lawnmower. Brought the old one so there would be no misunderstanding when they ordered the new one. I received the wrong one. Tried to return it and they would not take it back and provide a refund. Their solution was to remove the switch from the casing and install it in the old casing. Bottomline, paid for a new switch/casing, received new switch in old casing. Very rude and unprofessional. read more

My parents had the worst experience ever.  The owner was rude and arrogant to say the least.  They were told their edger would be fixed and ready to pick up in two weeks.  After not hearing anything for four weeks, they went to check on it.  Owner told my dad they hadn't had a chance to look at it yet so he asked if he could just get the edger back.  They gave it back but refused to give them their $50 deposit back because they "may have" ordered parts for it.  They knew parts had not been ordered because the owner already stated that they hadn't even looked at it yet. So at this point my mom goes in and requests their deposit money back.   The owner refused and made a scene asking his workers if he cheats people out of money.  Even mocked her and said in front of everyone that he's a millionaire and doesn't need her $50.  Hmmmm, if you aren't hard up for money, you wouldn't have tried to stiff my 75 year old parents out of their $50.  Horrible way to run a business!! read more

Worst experience ever stay far away from these to people. Horrible service refuse customer to be customer orientated,over priced and greedy. The do horrible repair work got my blower back filthy and leaking oil. Purchased $3100 in items and they refused to send an item back that I had not even taken out of the store. The husband threatened me over the phone. I disputed the credit card and will not pay a dime on it if they do not reverse the charge. Worst place go to Ennis or Mansfield these people do not deserve your money. They are HORRIBLE! read more

edit: could not remove review manager and i talked and settled on him scrapping it and no charge. i can't in good faith give 5 star but not 1 star, id say manager 3.3 grunt staff 1.3, and very long queue (1month) time to get your mower in at summer but thats to be expected disagreement was over delivory / charge / fees read more
