Really disappointed and I should have left after waiting 15 minutes. So I wanna start off by saying the only reason I came here was because it's my birthday weekend and when I had bought one of my friends who goes to a different location of Moxie a gift card at Christmas they gave me a $25 one so I figured let me go try it out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My appointment was for 1030. They just said they'd be with me in a few moments. I didn't even know who I was supposed to be with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No one came over and said anything a girl came in after me and sat down after waiting 20 minutes both the girl that came in after me and myself were told to head to the back to get shampooed so of course they were shampooing the girl that came in after me first that right there pissed me off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And then I was told that my hairdresser had broken her blow dryer and she had to leave to go get a different one which is fine, but someone should've told me that instead of just letting me sit there waiting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The hairdresser came over to shampoo me I will say she gave an excellent shampoo. I actually almost relaxed. She was very sweet and she apologized. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She asked what type of a blowout I would like and I said something with volume and curls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So I just wanna start by saying I didn't have my glasses on and when she finished doing my hair, I was like oh wow, I really like it. It looks nice. I left and came home now. Keep in mind I had to put in the other half of the money for the blowout for 50 bucks for a blow dry is absolutely insane but I had the 25 so with the tip I spent another $35. I literally walked in my house and my boyfriend was like I thought you were getting your hair done. I went into the bathroom and I saw what he was talking about. The top of my head was completely frizzy the back of my hair. The curls are already completely out. We have to be somewhere at 4 o'clock and I'm sitting here rushing to redo my hair. I got the vibe that the girl who was helping me was newer, which is fine but if someone is newer, then you shouldn't be charging 50 bucks for a blowout that doesn't even last. I'm so disappointed. I really wanted to like it because I was thinking of buying a package to save time during the week just to go get a blow dry once a week. Well, that won't be happening. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I made it a point of showing the girl how I usually wear my hair with photos (as it was outgrown due to the fact that my usual girl Is on maternity leave). Originally I asked for chocolate brown hair and left the salon with pretty much black hair. I originally had red hair and understood it may be tough to get the red out but i definitely did not expect black. This was most likely because the hair dye was left on for an hour or more while other clients were being helped. WORST experience especially with the manager!!! I had gotten my keratin done 4 weeks ago and was still frizzy. I went back so they could fix their mistake. they fixed my hair perfectly. Instead of admitting the customer is always right. He decides to charge me $75 for fixing THEIR mistake. It was back and forth with the manger about me having to pay when he was clearly in the wrong. Went for a blowout yesterday ! The stylist did a fabulous job. However the round brush she used came from another stylists client . When the blowout was completed and I got the register I was told all seven of my Moxie membership blow outs expired. I cancelled this membership [[HIGHLIGHT]]I in based the their customer service and being able to make an appoint when I called (always went to voicemail with out a call back)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I've been here twice: once was for a coloring and the other was for a blowout. I was very happy both times. My initial visit was to correct red dye that I had done myself at home. They did a great job at fixing it. Not only was the red completely gone, but they also did a great job with matching the shade I described. My first visit here was great. My second visit not so much. I felt rushed and they didn't even blow my hair out. He had the women who washed my hair blow dry my hair using her hand. He then went in to just tease and curl. I was not impressed but did not have the time to have him fix it. The whole experience was just awful. I won't be back. I have been trying to reach the salon in regards to thr hair service I recieved! I asked for them to trim my extensions ( I went to the salon because they specialize in extensions so I figured I'd get my extensions trimmed and blended ) The stylist basically clueless and they should've never put me in her chair. First of all when I'm at a salon and someone's doing my hair please face me to the mirror and not to the back of the wall so I know what you're doing to my hair) She cut my hair with scissors bluntly into the extensions ! Ruining them , I now have to take them out get them put back in which will cost me for the hair and the installment again and another haircut I am out at least five to $600 because of the salon and it's very upsetting that no one has gotten back to me in the emails and in the phone calls that I've tried to reach out to a manager or somebody in regards to the situation ! I am left to only go online on social media and give them a review I feel they don't take responsibility of their stylist point blank and they try to push blame onto the customer instead ! I've gone here once before, and loved the service I got with Victor. This time, I booked Monday before New Years with another stylist. When I got there, they told me they didn't have time to do it that day and I would have to wait until Friday. A little upsetting, but not a big deal. I figured it might mean a discount. When I went Friday, I asked for a cool toned balayage, and showed the third picture. What I got was a full head of blonde hair that was not colored correctly nor blended well. I'm embarrassed to go to work with it even in a ponytail. The cherry on top was being charged $300+ for the service unexpectedly. Going to try to get it fixed by another stylist in Moxie (hopefully for free) and will update my review if anything changes. read more

Run, run run away from this salon and don't ever take your kids here. It was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Linda was our stylist and treated us despicably. We never even received a polite hello, let alone a proper greeting. We walked in and got "what do you want", Linda became so rude and unprofessional during the visit that I asked to leave. She refused, and just continued to ignore my request and rolled her eyes while mocking me under her breath. She even tried to get the receptionist to defend her rude attitude but the receptionist said nothing and ignored the situation completely. I made several polite attempts to have a professional conversation with her but she refused to respond to my questions and mocked every request I made. However, I wanted to make the most of a bad situation so i told my son how great he looked and gave him money to give Linda for a tip. She just walked away and didn't even say thank you to him. It was such a bad experience and very uncomfortable for my son. On my way home, I didn't feel like blowing my own hair out and made an appointment. They only washed my hair once and it looked totally greasy still after I left. AND the blow dry took close to 45 minutes!!! Are they kidding? I could have washed my hair and opened up the car windows and it would be quicker and look better! The blow out was sub par - not flat, not flippy....just nothing. I do a better job myself - why am I paying someone that time SO LONG and it looks like crap. I was in last Friday to get ready for a date night. While here I got a full face of makeup (with eyelashes) and my hair blown out. I don't recall the three woman's names that did my hair wash, makeup, and blow out but all three were absolutely fabulous. All three were extremely personable and did a fabulous job getting me all dolled up for my special night. The price for a full face of makeup with lashes and blow out was worth the money! Unfortunately did not have a great experience here, twice. The first time i went, i made a lunch appointment for a blow out, nothing fancy. I have long thick hair, normally takes about an hour to blow dry it, 40 minutes with a good hair stylist. It took 1.5 hours. I politely asked the girl if there was anything we could do to speed up the process she responded with "i'll try but make no promises" and to me felt likes she slowed down even more. She was staring into space most of the time, once my hair was done i would say for the time it took it was just okay nothing special. Second time i went here, i asked for a different girl who was very friendly. I went in on a wim wondering if they took walk in's. Again just a blow out nothing fancy. And this time the girl burned me, i actually shouted a big "ouchhh". She apologized and I understand that can happen but the blow out wasn't that great, some parts of my hair felt damp. That part of my neck (where i was burned) hurt for days. Given the great experiences I've had at other moxie salons, i'm not sure if i will return to this one. read more

I'm always nervous having makeup done because I like a natural look and always seem to end up looking like a clown. That was NOT the case at Moxie. The girls at the front desk will tell you to come In right away for a blowout & keep you waiting 20 minutes. They are desperate for customers. I took my daughter here to have her hair done for her 8th grade dance. Initial phone call I was told $29 for a blowout with curls and then a little extra for a braid depending on how involved it was. We walked out with a hairstyle that looked NOTHING like we asked for, were charged $70 for what ended up being some messy ponytail, and I had a crying kid screaming at me that it was all my fault! Maybe it was my fault and I should have made the woman redo the hair, instead I ran to ANOTHER salon and begged them to fix it and paid AGAIN! I have been coming to moxie for years. I never enjoyed the service, but I had nowhere else to go. One day I made an appointment for my daughter to get her hair washed and blown out, I even asked for curls. When I got there, I was told to wait for the stylist. I waited about 30 minutes after my appotiment. The stylist was doing another coworkers hair, they were just fooling around. When the stylist came up to me and my daughter, she had a very big attitude. She didn't even apologize for making us wait. My daughter has very bad social anxiety and she doesn't like to talk to poeple she doesn't know, so I go back with her. She took my daughter to get her hair washed. She was so harsh on my daughter's hair. Then she took my daughter to her station to brush her hair. My daughter has very thick hair that knots easily. Then the stylist asks if my daughter ever brushes her hair, I had to answer for her and then the stylist snapped at me. I went to go sit back down in the waiting area while she was blowing my daughters hair. She kept asking the receptionist what time her next appointment was. The stylist said she won't have enough time, when she had about 45 minutes till her next appointment, so she didn't curl my daughter's hair she just used a brush to make curls. Then I went up to pay I got charged double the amount. I was so in shock. I paid and got out of there. My daughter ended up crying and was embarrassed.
