First things first, this is Moxies, not Moxy the hotel. Easy mix up, different experience entirely. Walked in on a Wednesday and the energy was already going but this is DC during happy hour so honestly that tracks perfectly. The space is well laid out with two distinct vibes: bar and high top seating on one side that feels social and lively, and a quieter more intimate side with booths. Our party of six fit comfortably which is always a win. While waiting for my crew I ordered the dumplings l, solid, enjoyable, just didn't quite wow me. Main course was steak frites with truffle fries, a classic done right. Steak was cooked well and a quick check around the table confirmed the rest of the party was equally satisfied. Service was attentive and moved at a good pace which matters when you're catching up with people and don't want to chase down your server all night. Honestly the atmosphere alone is reason enough to return. I'd come back specifically for happy hour. Moxie is a solid after work spot in the city. Noted and bookmarked.

I work in Arlington, so I came with a coworker for a dinner and drinks evening. The place is much bigger than you'd expect, but it was packed nonetheless. I made a reservation, so we had a table, but there were a decent amount of coworker happy hours that made things a bit chaotic. The staff are super sweet, all women waitresses and hosts in black skirts. The calamari wasn't fried enough for me, but the nachos stole the show. The drinks were super good too. I'd definitely come back and try main entrees as well!

Popped in for a drink while I was in the area and was taken aback by the space. The ceilings and decorations are stunning and add a bit of grandeur to the environment. Just opting for a drink, I chose the chocolate old fashioned. It wasn't super sweet or chocolatey, which I appreciate. It was a fun environment that serves food as well. I can't comment since I didn't order any. Our server was great but at times hard to track down. At one point my empty drink sat there for a while I was trying to get my check. I could see myself popping back in and enjoying an app and drink on their patio in the future if I'm in the area. The vibes were good and it felt like a fun, young space.

Happy Hour Review! As a dedicated football fan, I can officially seeing myself coming here to catch a few games on the screen. They have over 10 televisions and you're welcomed to ask for your game to be shown on one of them. Guest service was excellent! The entire staff were uniformed in black and their personalities were friendly and professional. Our waitress Nicole was the best! A rockstar with excellent recommendations for drinks and small bites. I started off my happy hour solo and sat in the bar tabling area. The ambiance was beautiful and I enjoyed watching the bartenders mix up speciality drinks for guests. I later transitioned to a booth table area once my boyfriend joined me. HH Drinks ranged from $6-12 and the selections will blow you away...a steal in DC!!!!! I ordered the espresso martini which was delicious but the star of the show was the Aperol spritz, which I continued drinking throughout the evening. HH bites were $12 with limited selections. However, the plates are shareable. I ordered the Thai chili chicken and the pork potstickers (veggies available). The pork stickers were really good. Freshly prepared and well balanced with a delicious mango salsa which welcomed sweetness to your palate and soy sauce for a bit of savory notes in each bite. The star of show however, was the Thai chili chicken bite. OMG! This dish is what you call culinary genius! It's sooooooo good and the balance of flavors is proof of that. The chicken was nicely diced and lightly fried then topped with a well balanced sweet/spicy sauce. Then to complement the dish, they added their house special wonton chips which carried a beautiful nachos flavor. AMAZING all around! And yes! The wontons are refillable! Great music Lively ambiance once the HH scene picks up Elevated sports bar with amazing drinks and food to celebrate your team! Don't delay, visit this spot. It's worth it!

I was in town and I stopped by for their happy hour. I ordered a margarita and the guac. I love the service of the team. They were very attentive and made sure that my drink was always full. They had a great selection of their happy hour, and I am so excited for their new location in Orlando.

Great service, great drinks, ample selection of drinks, good food, large portions, nice patio! The chocolate old fashioned was great although not super chocolate-y. The chocolate martini was amazing. The bramble was good with fresh crushed raspberries! The tofu power bowl was huge, filling, and tasty. The spicy mayo WAS a bit spicy but the peanut sauce wasn't. The breakfast potatoes are tasty here and come with a good sauce. Nice outdoor patio. Good place!

NEW, sexy, boughie, classy...what more could you want from a DC restaurant? Did I mention the food here is ABSOLUTELY delicious? I found Moxies on OpenTable after looking for the perfect spot to celebrate part 1 of my birthday weekend with my girls. Much like Miss Knowles, I needed an Act 1, 2, and 3 to celebrate my season. The description online said that this spot was "modern, classy, and vibrant". I'm happy to report that Moxies lived up to all of that and then some. As soon as I entered, I was greeted with a complimentary glass of prosecco and birthday wishes from the beautiful staff...what a lovely touch! They even threw in a free dessert for the occasion. I told them they'd easily get 5 stars on Yelp from me for that alone lol ;). Luckily, the menu left an even better impression on me. It happened to be restaurant week when we visited (another bonus of being an Aquarius baby) and we had the chance to sample several items amongst the group. From the potstickers, hot baked crab dip, chicken madeira rigatoni, miso ramen, and steak frites- everything was melt in your mouth good. Bonus points to the white chocolate brownie... absolutely delectable. Overall, Moxies was perfect from start to finish. The food was amazing, the interior was gorgeous, and the restrooms were pristine. Details that matter, ok!? To top if off, they treated me like an absolute princess during my special day and made me and my guests feel truly cared for. I'm already planning a return visit. I can't wait to try more of their menu offerings. Total yum!

The food was overall good, and the generous portion sizes were definitely a highlight. While the staff seemed slightly inexperienced, the manager was consistently checking in on tables to ensure everything was going well. The cocktails were also good and paired nicely with the meal. It is a solid place for dinner, though it seems to turn into a club later on in the night. Restaurant is on the louder side

4 month old restaurant and I would say it definitely needs work. The ambiance and feel of the restaurant is clean and new but that's the extent of it. There are multiple TVs around the bar that are good for watching with a small group. The cocktails were tasty but took a while to come out. Service was so incredibly slow. It took so long to order mains and additional drinks. Our waitress would just randomly disappear. We arrived at 6:30 with a reservation and didn't leave until 9pm since everything took so long. Food was quite mid. Appetizers were decent, nothing special. My mahi sandwich was incredibly dry and had no flavor. The salad was floating in dressing. My partner ordered the chipotle mango chicken that was also very dry and the chipotle rub was clumpy. The quinoa didn't make sense with the dish, "it looked like a tower of dark brown." The red pasta didn't really have any flavor and the rigatoni that is a Moxie special was incredibly butter forward.

ugh! So excited to talk about my favorite new spot in the heart of DuPont! Moxies is an incredible new American restaurant/bar with absolutely stunning decor, perfect for a date night or girls night out! It truly looks like you just stepped into a VIP lounge in Miami. The service was amazing; we were assisted by our waitress truly every 5 minutes, which is so lovely and rare to find! I got the sticky toffee pudding, which was DELICIOUS and such a great size for the price. I cannot wait to be back!!

Service was a little slow at first, but the one bartender working was friendly and cheerful and doing her best to keep up with everyone until another two eventually showed up or came back from break. Atmosphere was really chill. I liked the dim lighting, everyone was casual and relaxed with a dj setting up in the corner, some hip hop and classic 00s rap bumping, and a steady flow of young-ish friend groups coming in for cheap beer around 5pm. I tried not to evesdrop on the couple next to me at the bar arguing, but their fight sort of added to the entertainment and general vibe. This is such a perfect spot for either a date night or a fun night out with friends. The speakeasy vibe, the chic atmosphere, and the music (a smooth, chill house mix) all come together so effortlessly. Plus, being open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays is a huge bonus. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time - this place stays busy for a reason. From my previous visit, I remember having a ravioli dish, what I believe was a braised beef, and their sliders with duck fat fries - all of which were incredible and clearly memorable since I was thinking about them for months. The sliders paired with those fries were honestly a standout. This time around, we had to get the duck fat fries again, and they were just as phenomenal as I remembered. The cheesesteak oysters were easily a 10/10 - fresh, meaty, and honestly surprising coming from someone who used to not even like oysters. We also tried the grilled octopus, which was well-seasoned (as expected, slightly chewy), and the fried calamari, which was light, not heavy at all, and paired perfectly with the sauces. The tuna tartare was another standout - super fresh, soft, and practically melted in your mouth. For drinks, we went all in. The Dirty Diamond martini with blue cheese olives was great, though if you like your martinis extra filthy, I'd recommend specifying that. The Hemingway Special had a nice subtle sour kick, and the vanilla mint espresso martini was strong (you can definitely taste the alcohol) but still smooth and frothy. The Mary Pickford with Malibu was surprisingly delicious - almost like a mocktail. The Paloma was solid, and the Code Red cocktail gave me slight cosmopolitan vibes. But the real star was the dulce de leche espresso martini--absolutely unforgettable. What really ties everything together here is the service. The staff - from the hosts to the servers - are attentive, welcoming, and genuinely elevate the experience. Overall, Code Red is one of those places you keep coming back to. Mostly rap music. The food was good. Fresh salad, fruit, meats etc. Unlimited mimosas was $25 per person. We could only order 1 flavor at a time, which there was about 8 flavors. They were good By 3pm, the place was more so filling up. What was crazy was at 4pm, the workers started breaking down the buffet-- quickly!! A group that had arrived @ 3 were caught off guard that brunch was ending. The workers did provide everyone with TAKE HOME Boxes, so we filled our boxes as fast as they were breaking it down lol Hookah guy arrived, think it was a total of $68. The hookah was good Gratuity is automatically included. Our waitress was GREAT! Only thing I didn't like, the place had her walking around in a tight leopard body suit, with her arms out, like this was the Playboy mansion. It was cold in there. I would come back for brunch - just know, there was not a mention of a Buffet brunch online

I love the cabanas they have for lounging and eating/drinking. Since the event was catered, I can't speak on the service too much, but the spread of food was impressive and delicious.

BLUF: Great view, ok…read morefood, bar area / hightops very busy. We arrived at 5:30 and almost all "dinner" tables were wide open, and stayed open during the 1 1/2 hour we were there, but we were told we would need to go to bar area since we didn't have a reservation. The view is spectacular. Sometimes you can even see guard walking on the White House roof! Food is good. Servings are decent and the flavor is fresh and inviting. Truffle fries are delicious! I especially love the freshly grated parmesan. Burgers are big & juicy... a little greasy would be my only complaint.

I believe the Vue is one of the best rooftops to catch a glimpse of the White House. I made…read morereservations about 2 months ago. When our party of 4 arrived, the host took us to the rear area of the restaurant. It was extremely noisy, however much cooler than the main dining area. We asked if we could please be sat in main area as this was my friends first time and we had looked forward to sharing the experience with them. She then let us know that because of the weather it was not as cool and was much warmer. We didn't mind so they went ahead and changed it. Considering I had made reservations it would have been nice to have been sat at a table as closest to the open window. Not sure if this is something you must request when making reservation but it seemed all the tables were marked reserved. That would be my tip when making reservations to ask for a table where you are sitting right at the window. I preferred the shrimp cocktail ($26) it was very refreshing. The shrimp were big and the dipping sauce was delicious. My friend ordered the steak and Buratta salad ($50), She enjoyed it. Our husbands ordered the crab cake ($48) and they said they were very good. We ordered drinks. Moscow mules and gin and tonics which were doubles, and the Witness tampered. If you don't have a budget then enjoy your time there. I believe most places in DC are pricey. My opinion is we had drinks with small plates and I have added the total. Also we only had 4 in our party and the receipt says we had 6, which allowed them to force the tip on bill. Our gratuity was put on there by server so we didn't add to it. Not sure why this was like that.
