I went to Bar Angie for lunch as a solo diner. I was seated right away and immediately taken care of. There is even a server walking around with freshly cut citrus and asks you if you'd like any in your water (free of charge may I add). Because it was lunch and I was alone, my order was light but that didn't affect the way the server treated me in the slightest! I got one lobster and caviar roll with a side of Angie fries. The sauces for the fries were all so delicious I can't decide which was best! The lobster roll was the perfect size for me, but may be small for others, so that might be more of a preference thing. However, you can order by piece so you can adjust to your appetite! It was not fishy and they did not skimp on the lobster or caviar. The perfect amount given the price is $20 per piece! The inside was clean and well lit, such a cool spot. They also offer matchbooks if you collect! It was very modern and open. They also have a lovely patio (covered) with heat lamps. Definitely a place I would recommend!

Did a happy hour for two at the high top tables. The Angie's Happy Meal is a cute concept but if you're hungry expect to keep ordering. The drinks were great, would come back for those alone. Will definitely come try some additional menu items

Came here recently for lunch Sunday--food and service were excellent! Our server Don was friendly & attentive, and made our experience much more fun! This place offers Bottomless Martinis for $45--highly worth it if you want a few drinks minimum. They have a martini cart that comes around to make your martini, but it was slow service--our other cocktails (made at the bar) were brought out way before the cart came by our table. Cool perk, if you tag them on social media, you get a free round of shots! Food was delicious--everything is well flavored and good portion size. Highly recommend the Angie Burger, Wagyu French Dip, and Lobster Salad. The Mussel Frites and Lobster "Escargot" were good too!

Bar Angie is a great spot for a girls night. My friends and I went for a few drinks and bite to eat, and the drinks were great. The presentation of them is so nice you don't even want to drink some of them. The oysters were really tasty. We tried the lobster salad which couldn't used more lobster for the price, but it tasted good overall. I have not tried a full meal here yet, but definitely a great place for some apps and drinks with your friends!

We stopped into Bar Angie on a Sunday afternoon and snagged a table on the patio -- the perfect call for a nice day. Peek inside and the décor is genuinely stunning; this place clearly has a strong design vision. The food largely impressed. The spicy rigatoni was delicious....rich, satisfying, and well-spiced. We also started with the lobster escargot appetizer, which was delicious--lobster, butter, puff pastry, and all... though I'll be honest, I kept waiting for the escargot to show up. The dish is named after the style/preparation style. But I think if it's in the name, it should be on the plate. On the drinks side, I appreciated that they had an N/A beer option -- that's always a welcome sight. The mocktail list, though, left me wanting more. I'd love to see some herb-forward, aromatic options that feel as considered as the food menu. There's real opportunity there. The waiter was warm and friendly, but they looked like they were managing far too many tables (maybe even inside and outside). Overall, Bar Angie is solid. The bones are great, the patio is lovely, and the kitchen can cook.

Bar Angie may be be on a quiet street in West End but it sure is lively and fun. My friend and I went on a Saturday night and while there was no live music there was a big crowd and it was very loud. I could barely hear my friend or the waiter. The service was good but distanced though I didn't feel like we were being ignored. I had a dirty martini and my friend had a glass of white wine. We shared the lobster escargot and the grilled corn salad to start. The lobster escargot was delicious and dipping the bread into the butter was the best part. I liked that they split the salad for us and it was fresh, crunch and crisp. The choice of water garnish was also a nice touch (I'm boring and choose a lemon) as was the whipped butter. My friend wanted the swordfish milanese but they were out of swordfish so she went with the chicken. It was a huge piece of chicken and she enjoyed it. I had the wagyu french dip and it was so tender. The horseradish and the au jus were the perfect compliments. We were so full that we didn't get dessert but I would love to go back to try some other items on the menu and get a sweet treat.

My family who has visited me in DC many times over the years rated this their best meal here ever. That's about the highest compliment you can get. Honestly, I almost hesitated to post this because it's already tough to get a reservation...but it absolutely deserves the hype. The space is large and versatile: a big outdoor patio (weather permitting), a lively bar area with TVs, and a main dining room. That said, they really pack people into the dining area - it's dark, moody, and can get very loud. Something to keep in mind if you're with a group or bringing older family members. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. Several of the hosts at the front seemed like it was their high school weekend gig where they received no training, were disorganized, and not particularly welcoming...no greeting, no smile, and seemed overwhelmed. On the flip side, the waitstaff was fantastic despite how busy it was, and the bus team kept everything moving and tables spotless. The menu isn't groundbreaking. It leans heavily into that French bistro/NYC brasserie vibe (think Le Diplomate or Pastis), but the execution is excellent, with some fun, elevated touches (caviar options, seafood towers, lobster escargot, ...). As for the food: sooo good. We started with the crab rangoons and French onion soup...both standouts. For mains, the French dip was massive and perfectly done (the horseradish was very mild, which I actually preferred), and the spicy rigatoni was the kind of dish you don't want to stop eating and lick the plate when you're done. Even the lobster salad impressed. Truly not a miss across the board. We wrapped up with espresso martinis and crème brûlée: an ideal ending to a great meal. I'd absolutely come back to explore more of the dinner menu (and even brunch). One last note: the area is still pretty quiet, which makes parking easy, but also means there's not much to do before or after. If you have nearby recs, I'm all ears.

Our first time here and I/we absolutely loved this restaurant in DC. Food was delicious-Fresh ingredients and very enjoyable. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and pleasant. We had an array of food: Corn salad ( I think it was called) was absolutely divine with a light lemon vinaigrette dressing. Caesar slides, and Chx Pillard. Everything was fabulous and I would come again when visiting again.

Service needs to be improved. It took a while to even just get water. The food tasted ok but was not good enough to justify the high price. I will say the fries were very tasty.

I really wanted to love this place! Bar Angie is an adorable little restaurant tucked away in West End. Upon entry, it has a mix of modern American and vintage French decor, which was eye catching and inviting. We ordered the espresso martinis, which were DELICIOUS, and the lobster escargot as a starter, which was easily the star of the meal. Unfortunately, both of our steaks were deeply overcooked, the crab rangoons were just fine, and the prime rib sandwich was good, but for the price point, I was hoping for an abundance of flavor that I was not getting. The $15 side of fries also tasted a bit old? But the wait staff was lovely, and the vibes were really warm! Bar Angie is definitely good, but for the hype and the cost, I was expecting greatness.

Bar Angie was such a cute adult playground. We went for happy hour and split a bunch of appetizers and small plates which was the perfect way to dine there. The martinis were balanced nicely and they had so many varieties so there's bound to be something for anyone. The wagyu in a blanket was a cute play on a classic but my favorite thing was the adult happy meal which came with a martini, cheeseburger, fries, and ring pop!

Bar Angie is a bistro style restaurant with stylish decor, amazing staff and great menu options. They have HH M-F with food and drink specials. I had the lobster pasta and happy meal burger and both were really good. The staff was very attentive and helpful with menu selections. It's great for any occasion from a date night to a group dinner.

The bourbon drink with the whipped honey was our favorite but the gin drink that was pink was also fantastic. For food I did try the buffalo chicken dip, pretty large and tasty (not too spicy) and loved the super crisp celery and the fritos. We initially came for happy hour, but moved to the cocktail menu. The hh was a bit limited, but the drinks were priced overall pretty reasonably for the area. My one complaint is the wine glasses were so teeny. Overall though, I would recommend this bar. Bonus: cheese balls when you sit down! I believe there is also a limited food menu (think nachos) for the after work or late night crowd.

As tourists, we had no idea how intimate the space was (or that reservations are recommended even just for drinks!), so we felt incredibly lucky when a staff member took pity on us and offered an outside table. I wish I could remember his name--he truly made the experience. He brought so much energy and personality, setting the tone for the whole night. After scanning the QR codes on the "records" for the menu, we each ordered something different. I went with the Take Me Out--a mix of mezcal, pineapple, amontillado, tamarind, mango, coconut, and lime--and I was not prepared for just how delicious it would be. It was layered, refreshing, and completely memorable. The presentation and attention to detail were next-level. My drink arrived with a perfectly round ice sphere and was paired with a sugared, vegan mango gummy that added a fun, unexpected twist. Our host also elevated several of the drinks tableside--adding custom tinctures and even creating a smiley face with drops of oil and basil in one cocktail nearby. It felt thoughtful, creative, and a little theatrical in the best way. We spent the evening outside, enjoying incredible drinks, easy conversation, and a warm night under the stars. It was one of those experiences that just sticks with you. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to D.C.--and Press Club Bar of Record will absolutely be on my list to revisit. Highly recommend, and maybe make a reservation!
