I was craving pasta and instead of getting dinner from Il Bellagio (it's always good for Italian cravings) I went with Moxies when I saw they had a pasta dish. I got the steak bites (they are good) and the Chicken Madeira Rigatoni. I cannot recommend their Madeira sauce - it's quite bland. The chicken was terrible - hard / dry / chewy (I couldn't eat it after chewing through a few pieces)...the mushrooms were nice though. :) Terrible dish. Stick with the other entrees and salads...Avoid the Chicken Madeira - or if you're craving a good Madeira order the Chicken Madeira from Cheesecake Factory - it's amazing!! As a fan of the other Moxies locations around the world I debated on the rating for this location but I leaned on a 4 rather than a 3. The biggest issues is the staff at the front just not being welcoming, smiling or engaging, this after 3 visits. When you walk in they don't even greet you... "reservation? Or how many"... big turn off Luckily the servers and other staff are not like the front desk. The ambiance is a calm, clean and contemporary style. I love the layout. We were traveling back to Jacksonville from Hollywood today and looking for a nice brunch spot. After a review of the restaurant menu and reviews on Yelp (they have only been open a few weeks) we called to get a reservation. From first phone call with the hostess, to service from Karina, to the food, this place is awesome and beautiful! I ordered French toast which is huge but simply delicious! Also a side of breakfast potatoes, also a plentiful portion. I'm not a big eater, so the plan was to share some of the French toast with the hubby who ordered the breakfast platter. We had more food than we could possibly eat. His only complaint was he did not get three eggs and he loves eggs. I also had a rose sangria that was truly delicious. The service was 10/10, the restaurant is simply beautiful and I would highly recommend it! The parking is tough due to the area so we utilized the valet parking which is $15 plus a tip. Sooo glad we have a Moxies!!! I love Moxies in Fort Lauderdale. Moxies is such a vibe for anyone looking for good food, a social setting, or a date night spot. We came for Wine Wednesday. It was half-off bottles under $200. For this to be a newer restaurant, we didn't experience any growing pains. The venue is beautiful, with a spacious and open dining room. The outdoor walkway was super pretty too. Our server was very knowledgeable about wine and helped us make an amazing choice. She was beautiful inside and out. It was really nice talking to her, and I'm so sad I didn't get her name. The food was so bomb! Oh my gosh, the blackened Mahi Mahi mahi was juicy and well-seasoned. The chorizo was a nice touch with the mashed potatoes. The chipotle mango chicken was flavorful, with the mango complementing it perfectly. I came to Moxie's during their soft opening for friends and family, and it was everything. The décor is beautiful and very spacious. There were multiple people at the front greeting guests along with the host stand, which made for a very welcoming first impression. Everyone was attentive and the food was phenomenal. Everything came out picture perfect and tasted great. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and that was very delicious -- I just wish it came with a little more sauce. I also ordered the salmon, which was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp tacos were also very good. For dessert, we ordered the white chocolate brownie and it was okay, not my favorite, but still good. The server was really nice and multiple people came to the table to check on us. 3.5 stars for solid bar food. We tried the miso tuna crispy rice, pork potstickers, and the steak sandwich. Everything was pretty tasty, the sirloin steak sandwich being my favorite. Steak was a nice medium rare, bread was fresh and crunchy, and the flavors of the tomato, arugula, red onions, feta and goat cheese, and horseradish aioli blended together well. Stopped in for brunch. This is a clean, contemporary restaurant. They've been open since March 2026. They had a lovely menu with a wide variety of food items. I also liked that there were a large number of zero-proof drink options. I had the rosemary grapefruit tonic. It was really good! The zero- proof mimosas were delicious. They tasted exactly like a regular mimosa. My sister and niece both had the pineapple orange. They said it was not overly sweet. I liked the coffee as well. Everyone had a different meal. The portions are very generous! I had the Sunrise Egg sandwich. Sooooo good! I couldn't finish- I was too full. The breakfast potatoes were tasty too. Everyone loved their meals and the presentation was gorgeous. The thing keeping this from 5 stars is that we waited quite awhile for the server to acknowledge us. My wife and I finally had a moment to relax and enjoy a little date night so we celebrated our anniversary and her birthday last Friday (5/29). After an evening event we decided to find a place to eat and Moxies had decent ratings so we decided to try it out. Needless to say, we are very thankful we did. Our server, K. Hill, was the most professional and attentive server I've had in many years. He watched our glasses and when they were low came to attend to us. While we consumed the sushi rolls he passed by to check on us from time to time. As we finished the rolls he promptly had our main course brought to our table for us to enjoy. He has a twin and I believe if you end up with either of them you're going to be in the best of hands! As for the food, also phenomenal. Was it overpriced? Not really. Based on the quality of the food and the manner in which it is prepared we paid for a superior experience and received it. Moxies is upscale Yardhouse, with broad menu that has fewer dishes, but aims to please everyone. It's the sweet spot between Cheesecake Factory and True Food Kitchen, in the area. Less bus-and-truck than CF. Less healthy than True. When we were seated, one of our party asked to be relocated to a different table because of the cold air systems over that particular table. The manager said oh yes, walked away and never came back. Second manager was much better and managed to get a busser to clean the table and put us on it. Front of the house has lots of hostesses with iPads and three managers. Guests standing and waiting should be a red flag to approach and aid. Food is five star, for this type of restaurant. 45 min order to table is unacceptable. One star. Bar: ZERO should be a nonalcoholic beer. Not the knowledge base of the bar on a Sunday night. Having to send the waiter back for me to explain it to the bar, for a simple classic cocktail like a Sazerac, when you keep Sazerac Rye on the shelf? Bad. 15 minutes later the bar manager has to come and ask me again? Someone needs to pull out their cell phone use ChatGPT and say: "I have no idea what I'm doing. Please explain how to make the simplest three ingredient cocktail in the world." 30 minutes to a drink. Unacceptable... It was very easy to tell time because we sat just as the World Cup match started. And we have the clock running up there so we can see how long these things are all happening. Came for the grand opening. I had tried the quinoa kale salad and the shrimp tacos during a pop-up yoga event in City Place about a month ago and it was fantastic. Today for the grand opening I ordered off the happy hour menu the chili chicken and the poutine fries and both were amazing and such big portions. I was not able to finish it all. This place is very well decorated. It seems like they have a lot of seating. I believe there is going to be an upstairs but that is not open just yet. The atmosphere is the perfect mix of upscale and energetic--whether you're sitting in the dining room or on that beautiful wrap-around patio, the vibe is just right. While the food was fantastic--the Tuna with the crispy rice, and the Mahi mahi entree are absolute must-tries--what truly made our night was our server, Mario. It is rare to find service this professional yet genuinely warm. He kept our drinks filled and checked in at the perfect times without being intrusive. He gave us the best recommendations on the cocktail list. We had the pornstar martini and the jalapeño margarita. (the white brownie was a hit!) and knew the menu inside and out. We understand, as we know they just opened. We had steak bites and the Pot stickers. They completely lacked flavor. The Steak bites had a weird coating, which did not seem too appetizing. And we were lost with the mango salsa on the pot stickers. Just missing all the flavor which that should bring. Our dinner which we shared, we had the Chicken Madeira Rigatoni. I will say this was spot on. The side of bread was also delicious. Be prepared, as the dining area is obnoxiously loud. We sat outside, which that helped from being part of that noise. I really enjoyed Moxies! I was skeptical at first after seeing it was a local chain and I thought it was going to be more about drinks than food. However all the food was VERY good! For apps we tried the potstickers, chili chicken bites, and crab cakes. All were delicious and would order again! For entrees we tried the red Thai curry with shrimp, the mahi mahi and filet with truffle fries. Everyone loves their meal. I had the Thai curry and i thought it was very flavorful without being very spicy and a generous portion. My husband tried the steak and he enjoyed it. He said it doesn't replace a nice filet from a steakhouse but still was a good piece of meat. We sat in the more dining room area but there is also a large bar area with a lot of high tops with comfy barstools. For drinks I had the rosemary grapefruit tonic. I was disappointed they didn't have more mocktails on the extensive drink menu, but once my drink came out, I forgot about that and was very pleased with the drink! I was very excited to try Moxies for the first time, but almost as soon as we sat down, something felt off with the service. We were seated at booth 12, and Chet (sorry if I misspelled his name) was our server. He started by asking if we wanted water, but after that, he never gave us the opportunity to order any other drinks. We sat for about 20-30 minutes without being checked on. When Chet finally returned, after we watched him greet and check on all of his other tables, he didn't ask if we wanted appetizers or additional drinks--he simply took our food order. We had to ask if we could order sodas ourselves. Instead of bringing us our drinks after taking our order, Chet disappeared for a while and then continued checking on the three tables next to us, repeatedly skipping over ours. Unfortunately, it didn't stop there. We received our drinks at almost the exact same time as our food, and throughout our meal we were never offered refills. One person in my group had ordered sweet potato fries but was brought regular fries instead. When we asked about it, we were told they were actually out of sweet potato fries. Despite that, the sweet potato fries were still on our bill at the end, and we had to ask for them to be removed. When it came time to pay, I asked for a to-go box, but Chet never brought it. It also took him a long time to come back and collect our payment. By that point, my entire group was frustrated, so I ended up asking one of the managers if they could bring us a box instead. This review is not meant to get Chet in trouble. I'm simply hoping this can be an opportunity for him to improve his customer service and treat every table with the same level of attention and care. We also had the lettuce wraps. chicken but a lot of vegetables in it my friend said she would prefer it just to be chicken not all the vegetables, but that's how they make it hamburgers with gluten-free rolls or regular rolls one of each and regular french fries and tacos. There were seven of us and we all enjoyed our meal. Service was a little slow. One of the meals didn't come out for a very long time I would've given it a five star the waiter mario P was very good enthusiastic helpful. Maybe he had too many tables. So service was not as good as it could've been when one meal didn't come out and everybody else is we had a wait about 10 minutes for the tacos to come out. Also, it was my friend's birthday and they gave her a beautiful piece of ice cream cake which we all really devoured parking can be a problem around there. We've been to Moxies twice now. Once for my birthday when they first opened and then again a few months later for a quick lunch. Both times were great.The food has been consistently really good. Their handhelds are excellent, the cocktails are great, their sticky toffee bread pudding is delicious. What stands out most is the service. On both visits, our servers were fantastic and everyone from the hostess to the bussers and management team was friendly, welcoming and attentive. Worst experience I've had at a Moxies location. I'll gladly stick to the Fort Lauderdale location moving forward. I sat at the bar for nearly an hour and 45 minutes and was repeatedly overlooked while regular customers were continuously prioritized and served. After waiting about 45 minutes without acknowledgment, I had to personally wave someone down just to place an order for a drink and appetizer. What made the experience more disappointing was seeing approximately seven employees working behind the bar, yet customer service and attention seemed reserved only for familiar faces. Despite the poor service, I still chose to leave a tip out of courtesy. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and I won't be returning to this location. read more
