I actually don't have enough superlatives for Ila and Company to say that they routinely will surprise you with every dish is an accurate assessment of what Australian food is For instance, did you know that the national food of Australia is chicken Parmesan and it served with some of the most decadent and delectable imposters of McDonald's rise in the entire world? I never thought that I would enjoy chicken Parmesan with anything but pasta, but I can tell you I have a special place in my heart for a crispy chicken Parmesan with those french fries The spicy shrimp is exceptional. The burger is wonderful. The breakfast that they serve is exquisite. There's nothing about this restaurant that I've ever had that. I don't love. They have a sticky date Dessert that if you pair it with ice cream will probably make it so you never see your toes again and there's nothing wrong with that. I generally cannot tell you that there's one thing wrong about this restaurant except it's not located in the easiest place to get to lastly the cocktail menu and the Mixology as well as the servers giving it to you and I think you would call them almost mixologist. Went last night for my son's birthday. The ambience was great! Really light and botanically. I ordered a Peperoncini martini and it blew my socks off. Way better than olive juice! We also ordered wings from the happy hour menu, signature burger and fries (my son said was great), and I had the kangaroo skewers. They were a bit dry and small, but overall pretty good. I thought Isla & Co was very good. They have a wide ranging cocktail menu and beers on tap, including my fav all-time lighter beer, Narragansett, straight outta the Rhode Island shore. We came straight from the Palm Beach Zoo and so our cold crisp beers and Espresso Martinis were soooo refreshing. We tried the Hummus Plate and Kung Pao Fried Cauliflower and loved them both. The hummus had feta cheese mixed in and thick toast, almost like a Texas toast, to accompany, plus salty green olives, . The cauliflower wasn't too sweet and had a good green dipping sauce. The menu has a lot of comfort food like options. For mains, we had the mini "Big" Brekkie (fried hard), Fish and Chips, and Mushroom Toast. They were good. The payment was a bit glitchy. We wanted to split the bill and my friend basically gave up trying to figure out how to pay with the table QR codes. I tried to change my wireless to the restaurant's after the "Confirm" payment button was non-responsive. Finally, our server let me pay with the station and my friend Zelle'd me half. FIVE star experience!!! I ordered the steak frites (reasonably priced for a 10 oz ribeye!) and it was flavorful with their housemade chimi. We also got the Aussie Chicken Parma and it truly was the best I've ever had and I'm picky with chicken parm. Our server (forgot his name, super friendly and funny) recommended these two dishes and they were on point. We also loved their draft beer selection and the Hugo Spritz was more refreshing than usual as it had fresh citrus! The vibe is comfortable and relaxed without feeling forced. Went to Isla & Co on Sunday for lunch and it was an excellent food experience. The chicken sandwich was a flavor bomb. The truffle fries were perfection. The coffee was delicious and exactly as I requested it. The steak was tender and juicy. I highly recommend the food. What was Not excellent was the acoustics in the dining room. The restaurant din was incredibly high. In order to have a conversation you need to sit out on the outside seating area. In South Florida 90+ degree F heat! It would not take much to install some noise reduction panels and such to help make the dining room experience more palatable for guests. Please consider doing so sooner than later. I had a nice time at my first time dining in Isla & Co. I got the fried fish sando and upgraded to truffle fries and then we also got a power bowl as a side. Both were very tasty dishes but I would have to say that the prices are costly and then once it gets time to pay there are a bunch of additional charges it makes you pay on top of tip when paying online. This was the first time I visited Isla & Co and I loved it so much. The food and coffee were so good and the staff were all friendly. Due to the weather we had to sit inside but it was still such a nice place. I think it would be a nice place to come on brunch date. Pretty disappointed in our visit to be honest. We ordered carry out on their website, and they noted that their fries were gluten free, which is great because I have Celiac. We took our food back to eat, and I noticed the fries looked breaded. I only ate a few because I wasn't very confident that they were okay at that point. I ended up having my fiancé call the restaurant to double check that they were gluten free, and the person he talked to said "well, they are breaded." He asked what they were breaded in, thinking maybe it was gluten free breading, and they just said again "they are breaded." So no one could really confirm whether these fries were safe for me or not. I didn't seem to have a reaction, but again it was a small amount and I immediately took my medicine just incase. If you plan to eat here with allergies or any dietary restrictions, proceed with caution. As far as the taste, the food was decent. First time visiting and off this one experience I'll be coming back plenty. The vibe is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. It fits right in with the reclaimed warehouse district. I was greeted at the entrance by "Before I Let Go" and that immediately put me in a great mood. Our waiter/bartender was also singing it which made it better. He was fantastic the whole time. The wings are labeled as "famous" and for once when a restaurant puts that I can imagine that it might be true. Amazing. The fries? Amazing. The drinks? Amazing. Well done, Isla. Whoever you are. The ambiance here is very nice. Although it's a pretty hidden spot they have plenty of signage in the parking lot to direct you to the restaurant. We got a group of eight to play trivia on a Wednesday night but shortly after arriving (and ordering) they told us we were to the only ones who came for trivia so they weren't going to do it. I was let down and wished we could have separated our team of eight to play but they wouldn't allow it (and I get it). I got a glass of orange wine and the fries from happy hour. It was nice that for trivia they do happy hour all night. It was a good deal. Service was okay. It's like dive bar quality service and food. Our server was kind enough to let us try the orange wine before ordering. I'd come back to play trivia another time but I guess it's a hit or miss with people who come to play (or don't). You also pay the bill on your phone with a QR code. If you sign up for their point system you can get some free items. Our experience unfortunately was not good. I hesitated to write this review, but I think management should address these issues. We were sitting at the bar for brunch on Sunday May 24th, when the bartender took our order. While waiting, we noticed the couple next to us becoming very uncomfortable because they had already been waiting over an hour for their food. When they asked about their order, the bartender responded, "We are behind in the kitchen and there is nothing I can do about it." A few minutes later, the couple decided to cancel their order because they were tired of waiting. At that point, we started wondering if we would face the same issue. We noticed a couple of available tables and asked to move there. By then, we had already been waiting about 45 minutes for our food, so we asked the manager if he could check on our order. He told us it would be "about 3 more minutes." After another 10 minutes, we asked the waitress about our order. She told us there was nothing she could do because she hadn't placed the order herself, and the manager kept saying it was coming. A couple of minutes later, she brought the wrong order to our table. She then took it to the next table, where it was also the wrong order. We waited another five minutes after again being told our food was coming, but it never arrived. After waiting over an hour for a burger and a bowl, we finally had to leave. What stood out the most was the lack of service and empathy. It felt like the staff was more focused on protecting themselves than helping guests. We were really looking forward to a nice brunch, but the entire experience ended up being frustrating and a complete waste of time. read more

I've had this place saved for a minute and was excited when I finally got to check it out. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon so it wasn't busy. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space and it has a bright and airy vibe to it. Here's what I tried: Strawberry cheesecake waffles - 8.0/10 This hit the spot but but were a little too sweet for my liking. I usually have a sweet tooth but I found that it was a bit too much after just a few bites. I would recommend splitting it because the portion was generous. Power Bowl - 9.5/10 This was very fresh and full of flavor. I added the grilled chicken breast to it as well. I just wish that the serving was a bit bigger, especially for a $25+ bowl. But I always return to Isla & Co., which offers really tasty breakfast sandwiches and burgers with gluten-free bun options. Their cocktails and cold-brew coffee are wonderful. Usually, I go there when I have a scheduled haircut nearby to grab a breakfast sandwich or a burger. But they have various items available depending on the time of day. Perfectly crusted chicken with a heavenly red sauce was everything I needed and more. I had the misfortune of dealing with one of the rudest people I've ever encountered at an establishment like this and shockingly, he was the manager. He was dismissive, failed to acknowledge our reservation, and spoke to both my friend and me with clear disrespect. When we politely asked to be moved from a table that was seated directly in the sun, he had the audacity to call us "entitled." His behavior was so aggressive and unprofessional that we never even received our food, we chose to leave instead. Completely unacceptable. Visited with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. The ambiance is cozy and modern, making it welcoming. The menu is a bit of a stretch in a lot of directions with everything from pasta dishes, to Australian Kangaroo and a Thai curry.... It gives a bit of whiplash in variety and makes deciding a little difficult. I felt maybe I ordered from in choosing a pasta dish because it was just okay. I did have a chance to try the chicken sandwich and it was much better than my own meal- if I went back, I'd choose it myself! Overall, the only part of our experience that was a bit off-putting was the service... whether it was at the fault of the restaurant or the waitress herself, I can't be sure. She wasn't familiar with their cocktail menu, recommending I check their instagram because she didn't have a copy handy, and when we asked for recommendations we were often met with "I haven't tried that".
