I actually visited Spruzzo as a Yelp Elite event at the Ben, and when my friend asked me where I wanted to go to celebrate a promotion, I knew that the view would be gorgeous, the cocktails would be unique, refreshing, and tasty. All of these things were true. Although the energy was high and the restaurant was packed, we didn't wait long for a table. We ordered drinks all around and had a fantastic time. The Margarita Di Calabria was tropical, smoky, and a combination of flavors that I had never experienced before but really enjoyed. The Pink Riviera also reminded me of what I love about living in South Florida - the tropical flavors, the light breeze, friends, and the view - all of these were brought together to make the evening magical. I went to Spruzzo for brunch with friends to celebrate my birthday. The ambiance was great -- stylish, lively, and the live music added a really fun touch to the experience. My friend and I split a pitcher of The Jetsetter, which unfortunately was a bit watered down. For an appetizer, we ordered the Crudité & Whipped Feta, and it was absolutely delicious -- definitely a highlight. For my entrée, I had the Brunch Wrap. It was a bit dry and the flavors just didn't quite hit the mark for me. The service was okay overall. Our server forgot to put in one of the meals, so it arrived late, but they did make up for it by covering that dish and the drink, which we appreciated. Nothing special was done for my birthday. While it's certainly not required, it's always a nice touch -- especially when bringing in a large group. Overall, Spruzzo can be a bit hit or miss. Had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner here! And if you know, this mama doesn't get to have girls night often, so I was here to have a good time and good food and I was not disappointed! We had a 9pm reservation but got there super early to enjoy the sunset! The weather was hot but being a rooftop there was a nice breeze. Although the bar was very busy and no seats available, we didn't wait too long to get drinks which was nice! We did end up getting a nice small high top by the dj booth and enjoyed an appetizer which was their carrot hummus! I absolutely loved it! We ended up getting seated about 20 mins before our reservation and was greeted by kammi I believe her name was. She was super sweet and made sure each of us were satisfied with our drink orders and very patient as some of us made up our minds. We all ended up ordering the same dish which I got talked into getting and I'm so glad I did! Which was the Branzino! Definitely a 10/10 dish! Also very filling which I was weary about and ordered truffle fries which I didn't really need but also enjoyed a few as well. I usually don't have left overs but I did, so the server went to box it and there was an incident that it ended up getting tossed by a busser, which someone who had worked in the industry before totally understood that happens as it's happened to be before! The food was okay, but pricey for what you get - maybe not the best value for brunch. The service was a bit hit-or-miss, with our server seeming overwhelmed and not super attentive when we needed things like lemons and condiments. She truly made our afternoon special. The staff at The Ben never fails to impress, and Jill continued that streak with friendly and thoughtful service. My partner was excited to see they had his favorite, an espresso martini on tap! It was tasty, though a bit more dessert-like than your traditional version. Still a fun and creative twist. We shared the snapper wrap, which was generously portioned and served hot. The fish was heavily breaded and fried. My partner really enjoyed it, though I personally found it a bit much for my taste. Definitely a heartier option. One quirky moment: a hotel tour passed through while we were dining, which felt a little odd, but made sense considering the view is a big selling point. A friend wanted to come here after her birthday dinner for a drink. I found metered parking on the North side of The Ben. Walked up to the hotel entrance and met up with some of our party. We took the elevator straight to the rooftop and were greeted by lovely hostess. Made our way to the busy bar and ordered drinks. I decided on the Pisolino - tequila, watermelon, etc. To my surprise it was spicy. I totally overlooked jalapeños in the description and there was also a chili pepper garnish in the drink. We walked around enjoying the pool views and dancing to the techno music before calling it an early night. We ordered an Old Fashioned, Margarita, and Paloma--all tasted weak and watered down, lacking the quality expected from $20 something craft cocktails. The Margarita in particular tasted like it was made with barely any tequila using bottom-shelf margarita mix. To their credit, they swapped the Paloma for a mojito, but again, the mint wasn't even muddled--just a garnish. We had hoped to order food that evening, but this experience changed our minds. Given similar feedback in other reviews, it's clear the bar program needs improvement. We sincerely hope management takes this as an opportunity to revisit the drink recipes and training, as the location and setting truly deserve a higher-caliber beverage program. read more

As others have noted, you're paying for the view and ambiance. Second time I've been here. The first time, stayed at in The Ben hotel and had the entire experience. This time, had lunch at Elisabetta's Ristorante Bar Pizzeria, then came over for dessert and drinks. It's the rooftop bar and restaurant, so a really beautiful view; also a rooftop pool next to the bar. We ordered a cheesecake, wine, and a cup of tea. The service might have been a bit slow, but didn't notice that much since the view just takes your breath away. The Autograph Collection brand from Marriott is very unique, and The Ben/Spruzzo didn't disappoint. I will definitely come back again; been trying to search out other Autograph branded hotels in Florida that compares. Can we say road trip lol. read more

This hotel, the restaurant, and the view are totally 5 stars. My friend and I went for a girls night out and we had a great time. The only things we didn't love were the food and the drinks. The food was good, but not great. We got a salad and the steak with fries. The flavors of both were very good, but how they were presented kind of ruined it for us. We got the local green salad and while it was great tasting, there was just way too much dressing on it. I wish they would have put it on the side because it was heavily oversaturated. The steak was really good, but the grease from the steak got all over the fries and almost every fry was soggy. I hope we just came on an off night. The drinks weren't that good either. The flavors were perfume-y and we both ended up not drinking more than a few sips of our drinks. The staff was great though. read more

We were at the bar and whether by accident or on purpose, there was an additional charge added to the check for at least one item that we did not order. When we complained about it, it was removed, but the attitude was basically like they were doing us a favor. There was no apology. I didn't like it. Nor did my friend. So we left no tip. And we left. Well they added a tip on for themselves. So today, I'll talk to my cc company and have that removed but not impressed to say the least. We have been to Spruzzo a couple of times: once for a birthday party at night in one of pool cabanas and most recently for a friend's birthday brunch. The appeal of Spruzzo is the spectacular view of the intercostal overlooking Palm Beach and the Breakers, the cocktails, and the food items such as the lamb chop appetizer and the lamb burger that you can order with gluten-free bread. Given its location across the intercostal at the Ben Autograph Hotel in downtown West Palm Beach and being on the rooftop, you will see pricing that you see for cocktails and food at restaurants in Palm Beach. Some of the appetizers such as the lamb chops will be above $30. Overall, our experience was good outside of the occasional slow speed of putting in new drink orders and receiving our food orders. We came in on Christmas Day and sat at the bar . We ordered the mussels appetizer for $32 and although tasty we were very disappointed. The portion was quite small , even though it appeared a decent size when it was delivered. On top of that two of the mussels were totally empty and nothing was floating in the broth. Located on the top floor of the Ben hotel, Spruzzo has stunning views. The food leans more towards Mediterranean but they are known for The Ben Burger. I had Chicken Milanese. It's a breaded chicken cutlet served with arugula on top. The arugula salad was refreshing. But, I wish the server had told me the chicken was breaded and fried. For some reason, I was thinking of a similar Chicken Piccata dish (not breaded) when I ordered it. The service was a bit slow due to a few large parties sitting up there ordering bottle service. There were quite a few tables with political buttons and hats. It looked like a fundraiser was going on that night at the hotel. The crowd gathered upstairs into Spruzzo after their event (the noise amplified soon after). Beautiful spot for lunch but the food is on and off. We've been there a few times returning hoping the food would get better. This last time will be the last time. An appetizer of crab cakes for $35 was very disappointing. The crab was mushy and a lot of breading. It could have been canned crab. The horiatiki salad could have been a side dish not a luncheon salad. The carrot hummus was delicious. We asked for taro chips or regular chips with the pita bread as we had a gluten free guest.
