James was our server. He was exceptional. He provided us with purse hooks the minute we sat down at our table which I found to be a nice touch. He took my friend and I on a unique culinary journey that neither of us will ever forget! His hard work throughout the evening was beyond apparent. He was patient, kind, accommodating and comical! He helped my friend and I make decisions regarding the menu and I love when servers give raw honesty about the dishes on the menu. We started off with the Le Souffle Au Fromage which is the award winning signature dish since the year 1972 believe it or not! It was a doughy, light consistency made of Gruyère cheese, Parmesan, white truffle oil and it came with a small side garden salad. This dish is an absolute must if you're visiting La Goulue for the first time. We also ordered a cheese board which came with about 5 different cheeses, nuts, apples, purple grapes, and crunchy warm bread. We opted for version without salami. James recommended us to order a steak item that was NOT included on the normal menu. He told us it's recommended to order as medium rare. It came with string beans, grilled onions on top and potatoes au gratin. The food was so fresh and delicious!!! We ordered the chocolate mousse for dessert which was perfect as it was pretty light. Came here unexpectedly for a mother/daughter bougie brunch. We arrived around noon and sat outside since inside was a little bit "stiff". We ordered the cheese soufflé that is excellent, it came with a fresh spring salad. I also had the mini ravioli that was on special that day, oof get it, it is so good! My daugher got a gyro platter, it was good but she was jealous of my ravioli. The drink I got was delicious, forgot the name but it had whiskey. Amazing everything great experience! This place has multiple servers and really takes care of you. I would take a sip of water and they were refilling my glass within seconds. We had the mussels and you have to dunk it in the sauce on the bottom. If not they taste plain. We ordered the lamb, lobster pasta, cheeseburger and steaks. The only one not good was the trout. I had them add the Parmesan truffles to my fries and wow! For dessert we ordered the chocolate mousse and the 3 ice cream looking with chocolate everywhere was very good. I've been wanting to try this restaurant because I've heard so many good things about it. I finally came here for work lunch and they have so many delicious options on the menu. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. To start off they gave us a sourdough bread and butter. I ordered the lobster roll on toasted brioche with side of truffle fries ($48). It was honestly the best lobster roll and fries I've ever had! The sauce added so much flavor and made the dish even more amazing. Went to La Goulue with a friend and had a really nice experience overall. We kept it light and ordered the charcuterie board and foie gras which were both well done and perfect for sharing. Easy valet parking in front. As we arrived early at around 5:30pm, we were seated quickly and the staff was super attentive, The restaurant got busy closer to 7pm. We ordered from their Flavor South Florida menu, with the addition of some escargot (which are absolutely delicious here). Although I wasn't a fan of my heirloom tomato salad appetizer which featured some overly mushy and heavily salted slices, the rest of the meal was excellent. The sea bream en Papillote was superb. I especially enjoyed the chocolate mouse as well. I like the French bistro feel to the restaurant and the seating is fine - not overly comfortable, but better than many places. This is a special place. Not a grab a bit place. You go here purposefully. We started with a special which was smoked branzino dip, served with cornichons, pickled onions, and 4 pieces of toasted French bread chunks. It was very good. The mound/large scoop of fish was a bit too much for the bread, but we still had the crusty bread they bring to the table and used some of that. Brought home almost half of it, though, Would have been perfect had we shared it among 4 people. We ordered the cheese soufflé, without the truffle oil. This was the thing to order. Wow. The consistency was perfect. Like a sponge. The taste was perfect too This is the one thing I would get any time I come here. Which I hope to do again soon. What a treat. Fabulous. We also got the salad with barely cooked tuna I couldn't eat any of that and my friend had some. We plan to split that for dinner. At first we were a little tense due to traffic due to the boat show. I do recommend calling ahead, as we did but they are very strict with the 15 min grace period. Once seated my mom and I ordered drinks. Would love to see some house mocktails, since they have the best cocktails and very knowledgeable creative bartenders. This place is definitely worth asking for recommendations, especially the cocktails. We had beautiful weather for a tropical French brasserie. I had the escargot and the snails were a perfect size. Definitely use the toast. My mom had the Scallops St. Jacques which are beautifully plated and the caviar bump on each of the scallops. I had the Maine lobster linguini. It was so flavorful with large chunks of lobster. The linguini was obviously freshly made. I highly recommend this dish. Dessert is a must. The crepes Suzette was served flambé. The flavor was authentic but not too sweet. The profiteroles are huge. My mom barely tackled one. I highly recommend the C'est La Vie and Millionaire (off menu, so may not be available). This is one of my favorite PBI spots and the valet is perfect. Enjoy the ambiance with a table on the edge but inside. read more

Everything was great. Food was DELICIOUS and we got a lot! Crab cakes as a special, escargot, steak tartare, beef bourguignon and the filet. Our waitress Mahrina B was so kind and attentive - checking in on us without being too much which is hard to do coming from someone who's worked in restaurants. My only small complaint was the tight quarters are table was at. Luckily we had friendly neighbors we ended up chatting with but it was difficult getting up from my seat and would've appreciated some more space. My memories from the first time was that we(4) all loved the Cheese Soufflé, Crème Brûlée, Kir Royale, Tuna Tartare, & Truffle Parmesan Fries. I had to say that unfortunately this visit we didn't enjoy as much as the first time the Kir Royale, & Truffle Parmesan Fries. We had for dessert Crêpes Suzette and with a espresso was perfect. *writing this review late*The atmosphere was great( aside from the obnoxious Palm Beach drivers). The restaurant was lively and perfect for a valentines date with my lovely and beautiful girlfriend. We had an amazing waiter who went above and beyond and all the staff were very friendly and professional. My waiter even gave me a black napkin to compliment my suit :) The wine and food were top tier and everything came out in a timely manner. The courses were apart of the valentines menu and sadly I don't remember the names of the dishes; however I do remember the taste! Rock Angel 2022 wine to start and then Caviar came next, nice aged goat cheese salad, beautifully cooked lobster risotto and a juicy halibut with vegetables! For dessert I went with the classic chocolate moose and my date had a mixed berry cake. All in all, a great investment of time to be with a loved one in a wonderful establishment. Cheers! I checked to see if La Goulue has a Michelin star after eating here. I was very surprised that they do NOT have a star as I have eaten in several Michelin star restaurants in France. The quality of the food is quite extraordinary. Our waiter, Carlos, really helped make our evening very special. He was so good to our two children as well. I had the Terrine de Fois de Canard. Best I ever had. Made in house obviously. I had the mushroom risotto with black truffles and additional shaved white truffles. Risotto can sometimes be boring and bland but this one had an abundance of flavour. Only by tasting it can you possibly understand how good it is. Their chef has a source for truffles from Europe of a standard that I have not enjoyed so much in many years ! Again, I don't think most people will have ever experienced the flavour imparted to a dish by a superior quality truffle. La Gouloue Chef knows where to source them. Ten out of ten, well done Chef ! While lovely and tasty food, the waiter was awful. We have been many many times but this lunch merited a review. Our waiter at first would not take an appetizer order. OK. Some places insist on that. Let it go. Ordered our main course, after a bottle of sparkling water and a bottle of rose, we ordered a salade nicoise and a steak tartare. I ordered a tartare and fries as an extra side. The waiter upsold me an entree portion it did not tell me it came with fries. So when my steak tartare arrived it was with two orders of fries. I told the waiter and he shrugged. Like "you ordered it" and I mentioned it said it came with baguette and he said he would get me bread. I did NOT want bread. I was charged twice for fries because of him. Not the money. He was so rude the party at the adjacent table interrupted us to say he was rude and we were right. First, we waited 25 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation. The hostess said our table was being reserved when we checked in. Then 10 minutes later she saw me hanging by the stand and asked if she could help me like we hadn't spoken. M when I reminded her, she then confirmed I was checked in and would be seated shortly. Overpriced French food, and unfortunately not worth the price tag. Very fancy atmosphere (thanks to location being in Palm Beach). Ambiance is lack-luster, decor and colors seem boring and outdated. The bar is full service so we sat there, and were happy with the nice (and fast) bartenders. The food itself left something to be longed for (even more so once the bill came). We ordered the cheese soufflé (Gruyère and parmesan cheese, white truffle oil), steak tartare, escargot (with garlic-herb butter), steamed mussels (with white wine cream sauce) and French fries, filet mignon and the hot molten lava cake (with ice cream). I'm not sure what I was expecting out of the "award-winning signature" cheese soufflé, but it did not "WOW" me. Presentation was beautiful, technique was perfect, but flavor wasn't there for me. Also, $28 for a bowl of cheese and random garden salad, is ridiculous. Escargot was de-shelled, but again was lacking any real flavor. Steak tartare did not have the best presentation, instead of being red/pink, it was brown and was not appealing-looking. Dish needed more salt, and an extra French baguette. The filet mignon was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and was tender and juicy. Mussels were soft (almost too soft), and unfortunately were presented in a small bowl, where it was hard to get any of them at the bottom. All of the food was just OK. Large selection of wine, but priced at $20-30 for a glass is outrageous. For $450, not including a tip, I won't be quick to return. read more
