The service was phenomenal from start to finish, and the portions were surprisingly generous... but I have to especially rave about the drinks, specifically the lavender spritz, which was my fav. Everything about the dining experience felt effortless, relaxed, and just the right amount of glamorous. Hello ladies and gentlemen, we had a wonderful experience at this beautiful restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were unable to make reservations prior. We had a large group of seniors including two wheelchairs, and they were still able to accommodate us. Hostess was great he walked over to come and get us as we waited in front of the hotel. Our waitress was FANTASTIC I cannot remember her name, but she was African-American, very polite, very professional, and extremely patience with us. The food was good. This place is just as beautiful in person as it is in on Ig. The customer service was great; I told them I was out of town and did not have a reservation. I walked around the hotel to take video; in 10 minutes I had a table with a lovely view. The crab cakes were mid, but I know they were healthy because they had little to no seasoning. The crab was fresh and cocktail sauce solved the flavor gap.The creamed spinach and the old bay potatoes were very good. My mocktail made with blueberries was sweet and refreshing. A nice bar overlooking the pool at the rear of the Colony Hotel. The bartender was busy my entire visit mixing cocktails and never once broke a smile. 5/5 weekend brunch!!!! The vibe, the service, the food, all deserve 5 stars. We sat outside, next to the pool, and despite it being high 80's out, were more than comfortable with all the shade and the fans going. Really cool atmosphere, very "Palm Beach" (dress up, wear something cute for lunch!), great people watching (both in the restaurant and at the pool), and very lively atmosphere!! Service was FUN, we loved our waitress Marie, and she made the entire brunch awesome for our entire party. The Colony Hotel is pink and beautiful, and is worth a walk through on your way in or out. Even the gift shop makes for some fun shopping! For brunch our table ordered the jalapeño and cheddar cornbread muffins (with honey butter), yellowfin tuna tartare, cereal crusted French toast (with caramelized banana and pecan maple syrup), burrata di bufala and prosciutto, and the "grilled chicken darling stack" (sandwich). The burrata and 36-month aged prosciutto was the best I've ever had. The burrata was rich and creamy, the prosciutto was packed with flavor (that went well with the pistachio, cherry tomatoes, and basil vinaigrette). The chicken stack came with grilled chicken, pepperjack, bacon, avocado, truffle ranch, and fried onions on ciabatta bread. All the ingredients were so fresh and eat bite was packed with flavor (no wonder it's a staple on the menu). Every single menu item was 10/10. All fresh, bright flavors- and although a little pricey, I felt it was worth it for the quality of all of the ingredients. Can't wait to go back soon (reservations are a must!!)! read more

Went for Sunday evening bingo in January and had an absolute blast, as did the other ladies in my group. It's exactly what you would expect in Palm Beach island. The people watching is incredible. You definitely come here for the vibes and drinks and not the food. My friends and I had a 1:15 reservation and got there early and tried to get seated early. There were plenty of open tables but the hostess could not be more bothered. We sat at the bar for drinks and the bartender was absolutely wonderful. The drinks were delicious and then we went back to the hostess when it was time for lunch. I got the chicken salad which was pretty good but should have ordered something else with it as it just came with banana and some avocado. Our waitress was very nice and consistently checked on us. I definitely wish it came with some bread. I asked our waiter to bring us some bread and he did (i dont think any extra charge) so i would definitely recommend asking for some to pair with the salad. We were lucky to grab a table by the bar, but I'd definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you're coming with a larger group -- it gets lively! Like, "why am I craving lettuce and sprouts?" good. And someone in our group ordered the duck and wouldn't stop talking about it--called it "out of this world," which feels dramatic but also...accurate. Now let's talk about lunch. The club sandwich. I wish I were being chill about this, but I'm not. It's like $40, which is mildly offensive until you take one bite and suddenly you're like, "okay fine, take my money." If Palm Beach was a restaurant, it's Swifty's. This is where you go to see and be seen, quite literally. Prices are high but so is the experience. The Colony is probably one of the cutest boutique resorts in PB so it's a definite MUST to visit even if it's just for a cocktail at the Swifty bar. While there, we saw Ramona Singer from the RHONY...she is unmistakably identifiable by hand gestures alone. LOL. Service was O-kay but NOT exceptional on this visit. Things to note: The Colony is valet only. Swifty reservations are highly recommended and dress Code is Palm Beach chic; don't get seen at Swifty's looking like you just rolled out of bed. Portions are nice but nearly $50 for an avocado toast with a poached egg is pretty wild but we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. Overall we absolutely loved the experience and would definitely go again for a special occasion or to take first time friends. The vibes reminded me of The Beverly Hills Hotel in LA. It's a merge between The Cabana Cafe and the Polo Lounge. That vibe mimicked in Florida, we're here for it. read more

I was dubious at first, but picking one of the few Gluten Free options on the menu, the Curry Chicken Salad sounded like a mishmash of things that don't go together...except they do. The curried chicken was delightful on its own but took on another level when eaten with the mango chutney, banana slices, and even pickled banana peppers. It was simply a dream. Well done. The gluten free biscuits were also very good but the honey butter it came with...that made the dish. Coffee was solid. Absolute Disaster - Do NOT Waste Your Time or Money We had a confirmed reservation for 8:00 PM at what was supposed to be a nice upscale spot. Instead, we walked into a complete circus run by amateurs. The hostess--young, clearly inexperienced, and visibly overwhelmed--had zero control of the situation. She was bouncing around like a deer in headlights, mumbling apologies while doing nothing to actually fix the chaos. Multiple parties were standing around fuming because their reservation times came and went with no tables ready. Ours included. They told us to "wait at the bar." Great idea--except the bar was so packed you literally couldn't get within ten feet of it. No room to stand, no chance to order a drink, no staff paying attention. We stood there like idiots for nearly an hour while the restaurant somehow managed to be both overbooked and disorganized at the same time. Turns out they had some kind of event going on simultaneously in the main dining area, which explained why regular reservations were being treated like an afterthought. If you're going to double-book your space and turn it into a private-party nightmare, at least have the decency to warn people when they make a reservation--or better yet, don't take reservations at all if you can't honor them. After almost an hour of standing in a sardine-can crowd, listening to everyone else complain, watching staff shrug helplessly, and realizing we weren't getting any closer to actually eating, we finally gave up and left. We walked to another restaurant nearby, were seated immediately, and had a perfectly pleasant dinner. This place is a textbook example of how to ruin what should be a nice evening out. Incompetent front-of-house management, blatant overbooking, zero communication, and a complete disregard for customers who actually made reservations in advance. If you value your time, your money, and your blood pressure, steer clear. I will never set foot in this establishment again, and I'm warning everyone I know to do the same. Zero stars if I could give it. Avoid at all costs. read more

I was so charmed by this place. It's a scene in all of the best ways but the food is legitimately excellent and the service was incredible. The calamari was the best I've ever had, I loved the hamachi crudo, and the mixed grill was a solid 2 pounds of insanely good meat. The only thing I thought was mid were honestly the fries oddly enough but they weren't bad, just not in the same league as everything else. Service was warm and shockingly unpretentious. Timing on everything was great as well. They also make a mean martini exactly as I like it. The clientele was dressed amazingly and I loved seeing everyone's outfits. Extremely disappointing experience at The Colony Restaurant in Palm Beach. Our waiter completely ignored us for an extended period of time. I understand having multiple tables, but not even acknowledging us--especially when we made it clear we were waiting and trying to catch a flight--was disrespectful and unacceptable. When they finally returned, the situation somehow got worse. We were told my credit card was "declined," which made no sense at all. I never received a notification (which I always do), and the charge was clearly not an issue. It felt like a petty move to waste more of our time rather than own up to the poor service. To make matters worse, the waiter didn't even come back himself afterward--presumably out of embarrassment. We did absolutely nothing wrong and were treated poorly for no reason. This was a low-class, unprofessional, and frankly disgusting way to treat paying guests. If someone can't handle the pressure of managing their tables, that shouldn't be taken out on customers. Very upsetting experience, and not at all what you'd expect from a place with this reputation. read more
