Anyways, I have to say I love this place... though to be perfectly honest I have yet to physically visit. For context my experience was initially online then via phone. I was trying to pre-order a seiko Pepsi watch and this was the only location that was doing pre-orders without marking it up 2~5 x the price. I couldn't put a deposit down but I could add myself to a waiting list. Few weeks went by and I had forgotten about it and accepted it probably just wasn't in the stars for me to get a collector's watch at retail. Then Joe Moyer reaches out to me. We talk and he asks me about myself and if I was still interested in the watch. I know it doesn't sound like much but I think it's more about what it didn't sound like. I had the band switched out here on a brand new watch I admittedly purchased elsewhere at an Omega boutique in NY. As seen in the picture there are scuff marks right where the band exchange is at. I get that it's probably annoying having someone bring something in purchased elsewhere but I figure as an Omega AD they would know what they are doing. Also had a bunch of awesome watches in the store I would have been definitely coming back in the future to look at if I had a better experience. Think Twice Before Using Moyer--They Might Call the Police Over Their Own Mistake My mom recently lost her husband--my dad. While visiting Indiana (she no longer lives there), she got a call from Moyer Fine Jewelers saying she had watches to pick up. Confused, she asked the sales associate, Leah Yancy, if they were from my dad. She was told yes. The invoices had her name and phone number, so despite being skeptical, she assumed they were his and paid for the repairs. We later learned the watches actually belonged to another woman who shares my mom's first name. The associate who took in the watches never confirmed the customer's last name or phone number, and instead entered my mom's personal contact information into the system by mistake. I also feel bad for that woman--she had no idea where her watches were, and she was likely just as confused and frustrated as we were. All of this could have been avoided with even the most basic verification, but instead of taking responsibility, Moyer Jewelers accused my mom of stealing. They told the police she refused to return the watches (not true) and that they'd tried to contact her six times--when phone records prove they only called twice. They gave her no real time to respond before escalating to the police. This was traumatic. My mom was already emotionally raw. She was honest and acted in good faith based on the information they gave her. Watching her be treated like a criminal over their error has been incredibly painful. She has since returned the watches, but the damage--to her dignity, to her peace of mind--was already done. I hope Moyer Fine Jewelers learns from this. Mistakes happen, but the way you treat people matters. Compassion, accountability, and truth should not be optional. Think twice before choosing where to shop or send your watches for repair. I am absolutely blown away at the level of customer service this team provided. My husband recently had his ring fall off and it got lost in the ocean before our 5th anniversary. I wanted to replace the ring so I could say my vows to him again on our anniversary and make the replacement ring as special as his original one. Unfortunately the turn around time wasn't long but Moyer was able to make a miracle happen. This was one of the first places that came up when searching for the ring online. Right after ordering the ring I got an email from Derek asking about any additional details or requests, like engravings. He told me it would ship in about 4 weeks, however our anniversary was about two weeks away. I explained the situation and he said he could get it ordered right away and have it shipped to arrive on the day. We were going on a trip for the anniversary and they changed the delivery to be the place we were staying at. He was so responsive and incredibly accommodating to the complicated request I had. I felt so bad for making it a difficult order but Derek didn't seem to bat an eye and made it all work out perfectly. I originally reached out to this business awhile ago and was assigned to Derek in regards to purchasing two Zenith watches, I paid a deposit. Prior to shipping these items, I changed my mind and canceled the purchase. Of course, as a customer, I had the option to change my mind and in fact, a little easier on a business canceling an order prior to shipment. Evidently, based on the behavior described below, Derek had a personal grudge since I canceled the order. In 2024, I reached out to Derek via email in regards to the upcoming white speedmaster release from Omega. Derek eventually reached out to me in February 2025 advising he did not know why he didn't respond to my original email. Though he was wondering about my interest in this timepiece, I advised him that Omega reached out to me also about this timepiece. He did not respond further. I purchased the timepiece from the Omega boutique. In 2025, I purchased two Rolex timepieces, recently an inquiry was sent to the business with details requesting an offer to sell price. Derek sent an email for one of the timepieces. A week ago, I sent pictures again and asked him about interest in receiving the sell price for the Rolex Bluesy, but he never responded. Luckily, there are many other Ad's in the marketplace, in fact, Feldmar in Los Angeles has triple the watch inventory, better communication and competitive pricing. read more

My husband was trying to find a jewelry store to get his ring resized and cleaned. He decided to drop it off at Moyer in October. The store doesn't do the cleaning and resizing for his ring, so the rep sent it off to the manufacturer and let him know it would take about 4 weeks. 4 weeks go by with no notification of the ring being ready, so my husband calls Moyer and they say they don't have it. Another few weeks go by and still nothing from Moyer, so he calls again. We're thinking the delay is because of the holidays at this point, but by Dec. 30 (11 weeks after dropping off the ring), I called Moyer and the rep gave me their email address so they can follow up with me about the ring through email. A few days later in the beginning of January, we find out that the manufacturer wouldn't be able to resize the ring and was waiting on us to make a decision about it. I'm wondering if the delay was due to the manufacturer waiting on a decision from the jewelry rep and possibly the rep's lack of follow up. I'll never know. On 1/5, we tell the rep about not resizing the ring and move forward with the cleaning. The rep said since the manufacturer can't resize the ring, that we could buy a new wedding ring at a discount. The statement just rubbed both of us the wrong way. My husband's ring has sentimental value, which is why he wanted it resized and cleaned. Why would we opt for a new one so easily? Another couple of weeks go by with no update on timing of when we would get the ring back. The long story short of this is that I kept having to email the rep asking for an update, sometimes unanswered for a couple of weeks, and then having to send another email. We kept initiating the follow ups and I asked if I can just get the phone number and tracking to do the work myself, but the reps have to be the one to do it. My husband finally got a call that his ring was back in the store (19 weeks later). I get we're not a customer who they could get a sale from this one transaction, but if it was so difficult just to get a ring resized, why would we go back? read more

Today (4/11), I emailed Lauren Kasparian (lauren@moyerfj.com) to follow up on my order, and received the following reply: "This order has been declined due to the address coming back as potentially fraudulent. This order will be cancelled. Please let me know if you have any questions. " I replied as follows: "Well...that's annoying. Was anyone gonna let me know? How do we proceed from here? The shipping address I provided is my place of employment. I have personal deliveries shipped there because there's always someone available to sign." I was met with the following reply and a cancelled order: "We need the shipping address to match the billing address on the credit card otherwise we can not authorize the purchase. " I'm an avid watch collector, and I order watches from vendors around the world. I've ordered from authorized dealers and grey market dealers, and I've never heard of anything like this. I have watches delivered at work because there's always someone available to sign, and I'm a workaholic, so I'll likely be there anyway. The lack of upfront communication around this policy is frustrating. The lack empathy and customer service is just sad. I could have done a wire transfer, or provided some other means of verification, but the folks at Moyer clearly don't want my business. I truly hope my experience is uncommon, but folks considering this jeweler should think twice about who they're doing business with. read more

My wedding ring was my great grandma's and is so special to me. We brought it Moyer to get it fit to my finger. They suggested resetting it to keep the diamond from falling out since the ring was about 100 years old. I appreciated that tip and they were able to do that without changing the ring's appearance. I came here to get a battery for my watch and did not plan on getting a new watch. The salesman was very helpful and was able to provide me a new battery for a couple of watches for free. The place is extravagant with high end watches and jewelry. The chocolates all around the establishment was a nice touch. I would never come here to buy a watch mainly because I don't have a high desire to spent more than $500 for a watch or piece of jewelry unless I hit the lottery. Just received a Seiko Astron 140th anniversary solar powered GPS watch and it is stunning. I am completely satisfied with Moyer and Scott Poisel who walked me through this purchase process. I live in Southern California and have been searching for this watch since I read a review on it in February '21. I had been working with a store in S. Florida but they had no idea when they'd get one. I went back to Seiko's store finder and saw Moyer's. Having grown up in the area I thought I'd drop them a a request for more information. Scott replied with the information I was seeking. Scott and I communicated for a few days and I decided to send a deposit on Thursday 6/24. I was blown away when Scott replied that they had received one that morning. I didn't think twice and bought it. It was shipped first of week UPS 2nd day. When I opened the box I was stunned by the watch's appearance. It was/is beautiful. It was shipped with all original Seiko papers and packaging. She told me the cut of diamond I like is out of style and therefore "cheap". The way she talked to me made it seem like she thought that I don't have any money. 3. All Moyer has is the typical solitaire or halo rings. It struck me as a place to buy a ring that everyone else already has. However, when their management reached out to me upon seeing the review listed below, I agreed to set up another appointment and give them a second chance. Why? Because of the way they acknowledged, apologized for, and desired to rectify my experience. They never asked me to take down my review and never tried to minimize my experience. They wanted to hear from me what happened and wanted to know what they could do to heal the situation. Since my first visit I know they have made appropriate staff changes, implemented more customer service training for their employees, and worked hard to ensure every type of customer who comes through their doors is well served. My second visit was nothing like my first. I was immediately welcomed into the store by Tyler, who quickly became my in-store best friend. He was incredibly excited to help me create my dream ring within my budget. He was funny, patient, kind, helpful, and all-around intentional about making my experience fantastic! I never thought I would say this, but my partner is planning on working with him to create my dream ring at Moyer's. I walked up to a woman and told her I had an appointment, she was the diamond specialist I scheduled with. She asked me how old I am (22), took one more look at me, and passed me off to her partner. I anticipated being judged for my age and let it go. However, her partner was even worse than her. Truly, if I was his manager I would fire him. He went on and on about how young marriages always end in divorce, how I was not worth starting an account for because I was looking to buy a "penny ring", and how I could only look at a few options since I was not considered a "serious shopper". The sales associate did not bother to ask me a single question about what I was looking for, not even my budget. To top it off, he dropped the "R" word multiple times during my time there. Not that it matters, but my partner has a twin brother on the autism spectrum. Inclusion and respect are not the values of this company. After moving here from out of state, I realized that my center stone was loose. On a recommendation from a friend, I took it to Moyer to be repaired. They did a beautiful job. Side note: When I went back to pick it up, I wandered into the watch department to browse around. All of the associates were busy and preparing for a staff meeting. One of the employees noticed me and came right over on his way upstairs for the meeting. He took his time explaining the watches to me and allowed me to try several of them on. I'm not just excited I'm engaged, I promise. Of course I am, but my fiance and I looked at plenty of jewelry stores on the journey to engagement. And by "plenty of" I mean "every one in the Indianapolis area." At some, I found nice rings. At others, the people were great but the rings weren't. Some of them were just terrible. Then, there was Moyer. It was my dream store from the moment we walked in -- it was obvious that they sold amazing jewelry, but they didn't let it get to their heads. We got there with only a few minutes to look, but they were kind and cordial and told us to come back when we had more time, so we did. We unintentionally spent at least an hour with Bill last July, and enjoyed every minute. He let me try on any and every ring that stuck out to me in an effort to narrow down what I wanted, and kept us chatting about every topic under the sun. He respected my wishes to not know the price of the ring, but carefully showed them to my then-boyfriend and explained different price options that could raise or lower the cost of rings that interested me. Basically, he rocked. So much so that my fiance ended up at Moyer, instead of buying my ring at a jewelry store in the Chicago area, where he lives. Was recommened Moyer by multiple friends. My intention was to purchase an engagement ring and two wedding bands. The service and care they gave my fiance and I was top notch while we were in the store on our first visit. After getting help in designing a custom engagment ring and divulging our budget, we were happily on our way and had scheduled a 2nd visit to view the potential rings after Moyer had the chance to ship them in. The 2nd visit is where things became dissapointing. We received great customer service again, but every ring (3) they had shipped in was twice our budget or higher. The rep who helped us on our 2nd visit was not the same rep from the first visit and claimed that a ring of our design could not fit within our budget and recommended we either change our design or increase our budget. At this point we left and looked elsewhere and were pleased to find a competitor in Indianapolis that was able to give us a ring with the same design that was within our budget. While I don't think we were 'lied' to or intentionally misled by Moyer, it was apparent that the rep was more interested in a sale than customer satisfaction and a future relationship. Weddings are prone to making couples vulnerable to over-spending and quick decision making and the engagement ring is a common starting point. We found it important to be frugal and thorough with our decision making and were rewarded when shopping around. Our advice would be to always question the rep no matter where you shop and make sure that you get a 2nd opinion. Overall, Moyer will take care of you and is very knowledgeable, but it is quite possible the premium the customers are paying if funding the extras (wine, food, events, etc.). read more

Derek replied the next day and let me know they had two of the watches I was looking for in stock and that I could stop by and take a look at them. He also answered other questions I had that day very quickly. When I first arrived Derek was initially out on lunch break and I was helped by a gentleman named Bill. Bill was extremely helpful and very informative about the watches I was looking at. He let me look at the watch as well as compare it to other previous models and did not rush me or make me feel pressured at all. (I came in with my 2 year old son, and have gone to other boutiques/jewelers where I felt very uncomfortable and not taken seriously about making a purchase). Bill on the other hand made me feel comfortable and had good conversation regarding the watch I was looking at and he was able to make me a very competitive deal for the watch I wanted to purchase. To be completely honest Bill and his team Scott/Derek are part of the reason why I decided to buy from Moyer. They were very professional while also very informative and did not pressure me in any way...but took me seriously the entire time. Although I may not have paid the lowest amount possible for the watch I wanted, Bill/Scott/and Derek's help all made it worth it. The amount I ended up spending was still very competitive and I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for a watch/great deal/great service.
