Moy's is my go to Chinese spot when I'm in the Orland park area! Food is always super fresh and hot! Never had to wait when I place my order online! Food is ready soon as I walk in! Moy's Chinese Review The quest for the best Chinese food continues! Egg Roll - Two for about four dollars. A nice golden brown. I thought the peanut butter was not going to work, but it blends ok with the rest of the ingredients. The peanut butter adds nothing except maybe make the egg roll thicker/harder to bite into. The egg rolls would be better without it and you can also sell them to more people due to not having to deal with allergies. 3/5 Crab Rangoon - Smaller than what I'm used to. Perfectly cooked with a nice golden shell. A large ball of imitation crab meat in the middle. So sweet. It's almost like a dessert. Definitely not a hit. 2/5 Crab Balls - Similar to hush puppies except made with crab meat. Comes with a cheap sweet and sour sauce. The lid was melted on the sauce due to the heat. It's an okay snack but doesn't blow your mind away. 3/5 Tomato pepper steak - The sauce was overflowing in the paper-thin cheap plastic container that almost melted due to the heat. The dish is mostly peppers, tomatoes and sauce. The sauce appears to be the cheaper cousin to the gelatinous sauce that comes with Salisbury steak TV dinners. The meat is pretty much Salisbury steak strips as well. The steak is okay. It wouldn't be considered good, yet it's not bad or gross. I would much rather have had a TV dinner Salisbury steak though than this and I just added them to my grocery list because of it. 2/5 Combination fried rice - A great looking rice with a ton of ingredients. They did not skimp here. You get veggies, shrimp, chicken, some beef. It even includes eggs which is usually the sign of a great fried rice. I had to bring myself to stop eating because the rice is that damn good. Definitely some of the better fried rice I've had in the Chicago area. 5/5 Orange Chicken - Oh my...the crispy orange sponge is back in town. When I saw the pictures online, I couldn't help but smile since usually orange chicken it looks like this comes from the better Chinese restaurant. The chicken is smothered in orange sauce... way too much orange sauce.... almost as if they're hiding something. Immediately your taste buds are overwhelmed with the taste of old breading & the chicken is dry as if they reheated it. There are two small slices of Orange in the middle of the dish daring you to taste them. The sauce itself is also sweet enough to mask the old chicken, but it doesn't stand out in any way from competition. 2/5 Mongolian Combo - This seems to be the only dish that wasn't overfilled. They actually managed to not put a lot of sauce in it too. You know you're in for a surprise when as you bring the strip of beef up to your mouth you start tasting vomit. The beef didn't taste like vomit though. It actually was not that bad. You can tell though that it most likely was old beef. There are plenty of peppers and onions and mushrooms that make this dish fill you up very quickly. The sauce is a watery thin Mongolian beef sauce which is probably one of the few times I've ever seen it made that way. I had to stop eating not because of how good this dish is but because of me knowing I will be sick after trying this old beef. Matter of fact my stomach is already upset... 1/5 Overall - Moy's is more miss than hit. The Chinese food here can't compare to other south side staples like Oriental Chop Suey. They definitely try to get the food to you hot and fresh, but unfortunately because of the cheap containers that they have... that process is complicated. Luckily the food arrived without too much damage and there were no spills. Moy's doesn't break the bank which is good. They also don't offer any lunch combination specials like the majority of hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurants. Sometimes that's the sign that it is a good restaurant, but sadly that is not the case here. The diamond in the rough here is the fried rice. You'd be hard pressed to find a better fried rice anywhere. 2.5 out of 5 stars read more

This place is just ok. I have been here several times and it never has been more than just ok. This last time I just got fried rice. I got a large combo and a large shrimp. I found it slightly greasy and relatively bland. If you are really hungry, need something quick and happen to be standing in front of this place, go for it. read more

I was very disappointed last week when my husband went to pick up some food on Saturday, Aug. 15. We have been going there for approx. 30 years and never had any complaints. The bartender(s) are awesome and always makes the best drinks and the waitress staff are always very good. I understand they have new owners, but this is crazy! I ordered sweet and sour chicken and in the sweet and sour container was 3 pieces of pineapple, 2 cut up pieces of green pepper, and 1 wedge of a tomato; the rest was sweet and sour sauce. Then my husband asked for chili paste which we have always gotten that free! The cashier, charged my husband 55 cents for a tiny container, sooo ridiculous! Hopefully the new owners can straighten up there act, otherwise they will lose a lot of business from those long time customers! read more
