Omg! As I write this I'm willing to drive an hour and half in rush hour traffic from to Chicago to Hazel Crest to eat The Best Chinese Food I've ever had. The most consistent place around! They don't do uber eats which shows they don't play about their quality. I grew up here eating Chinese Food once a week like clockwork. Trying everything on the menu was my mission! Everything is made to order fresh and good! The original owners passed the restaurant down to their children and they have kept up the quality + ambiance of the restaurant. They are quick, efficient, friendly, clean, and sooooo kind! Like I move to Chicago and I wish I could take my weekly Chinese Food with me! I know my self care days would drastically improve for the better! I ate this delicious meal two days ago after an hour long drive on a Saturday I walked in ordered and in exactly 15 minutes they were bagging my food up. We came here yesterday to give this place a try. They have a lunch special which is under eight dollars. You get your protein, rice, and an egg roll with it. We tried the Mongolian chicken, which was really good. It kind of tasted like it was in a gravy sauce. I did enjoy it. The sesame chicken was a little bit inconsistent. The customer service was good, it was average wait time for the food, which wasn't that bad. The waiting area was clean, the eating area doesn't look inviting, but they do have a couple of seats for you if you want to dine in. I tried the sweet & sour chicken w/ egg roll lunch special. The lunch special was fresh and hot with good flavor, with a good size portion. It was enough to have seconds, if you didn't want to over stuff yourself. I've eaten takeout from here a few times, I'll continue to return and I'll share why! Their egg fu young is pretty yummy, I get the shrimp. The thing about egg fu young is not only must the patty be the right size / thickness, it has to be paired with the right gravy and Wing Wah has mastered this! My family has lived in Hazel Crest for almost 50 years and even though I have moved all over the country, I still consider WingWah to be one of the best asian restaurants that I have gone to. The food is fantastic, the attention to customer needs is unmatched and I would put their food up against ANYONE's when it comes to taste and quality. I highly recommend them as a place to get some good asian cuisine anytime of the day or year. We ordered 3 lunch specials, Crab Rangoon's, and extra egg rolls for $30 . Their Crab Rangoons are delicious. The filling inside is very tasty. I absolutely love them. I believe they were 6-7 Rangoon's in a container. I ordered the chicken and broccoli and I enjoyed my meal. The portion is very large. My meal lasted several days. The only thing I disliked was the sauce because it's very thick. I liked the egg roll and fried rice. If you want your fried rice with shrimp, chicken, or pork; you will have to ask. 2 days ago, I ordered Beef Lomein. What I got was ramen noodles a few slices of beef, hot water and hot oil which was tasteless. No veggies, sauce, or seasonings. It was horrible. I could not eat it. To add insult to injury the dish was $13.00 for a large order. This place is a dump and should be reported to sanitation for an inquiry. During 100-degree weather they put a fan in the waiting room for the customers waiting for food. One could have passed out from the heat. Most of the customers are African American...while we can't demand that these people improve their cooking outcomes. We can seek other Chinese restaurants.
