Got to eat here when I was at #INBOUND2015....I picked it because it had ridiculously small lines and I was in a hurry. WHY WERE THERE NO LINES?????????? This place is awesome. I got the dumplings multiple times now and love it as a quick lunch spot. I always get two side orders of the classic dumplings (8 dumplings for $10) and in my opinion the dumplings are fantastic and the small bit of cabbage they put below it is a great addition. My only problem is I am never full for the entire day after the meal. However I like a big lunch. If you enjoy dumplings and see the truck I recommend you stop and try them out! read more

Had their cheeseburger dumpling and it tasted like a cheeseburger. Their special sauce really made it! But their classic with pork was blah. Have also had their box meal with steak and noodle. I was very excited for my dumpling and rice dish. It looked great and tasted great, but there was a little piece of bone (well, it felt like a stone!!) in the first dumpling I bit into -- it has likely cracked my tooth. I hoped the initial pain would pass, but It has been three days and I can't chew on the right side of my mouth. :/ I imagine people are prepping large quantities of meat when preparing things on food trucks but finding pieces of bone or stone in a dumpling is just not cool. read more

Moyzilla is a food truck vendor who keeps the standard high. Their dumplings are plump and juicy and just so so yummy. I have tried both the pork and vegetable dumplings and they are top notch. If you get the full meal box, you can't go wrong in choosing either the rice or noodles as the side because both are great, and the cabbage salad is a fresh and light accompaniment. Their spring rolls are worth the extra buck! If you aren't in the mood for dumplings and the Japanese fried chicken is available, this is the way to go. The Panko fried chicken cutlet with a perfect aioli sauce drizzled on top is the best. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. Don't be put off by the long lines because the service is fast (and friendly!). read more

Delicious! We had this place for the first time today at the Sowa Christmukkah event. The veggie dumplings, veggie spring roll and noodles were spot on. I visited their food truck today outside of BUMC. I had the classic (pork and cabbage) dumplings over the garlic noodles. The meal was satisfying without being overly filling. The sauce on the side didn't add too much, but the dumplings were flavorful enough on their own. The price was good for the amount of food, and the service was very quick--it was less than five minutes from getting in line to getting my food. I would likely go there again! read more

I saw their story on boston.com so I decided to give their Japanese fried chicken meal box a try- which I didnt regret at all :) Their Japanese Fried Chicken comes with a basic scallion rice and Asian cole slaw with light dressing. For $8, you get pieces of dark meat chicken drizzled with Sriracha sauce which keeps me going until dinner time! It does put you in a food coma though with such delicious crispy outer coating! I've tried their dumplings, which were ok but I highly recommend the fried chicken. Thinking about those chicken just makes me hungry... and that's why I treat myself every Wednesday at their Copley square location! read more

Moyzilla is BOMB.COM. I decided to try this food truck because my co workers kept talking about it. Unfortunately, when I finally decided to give this place a try for their lemongrass chicken, they were not serving it that day. It was quite upsetting, but I decided to just try something else. So I tried the Japanese fried chicken over rice and I was amazed. It was delicious! The pieces of chicken were crispy and tender with the sauce drizzled over it was amazing. it's a very filling dish, so be ready to nurture a food baby afterwards! I've eaten at most of the well-known food trucks you see around town, so when I heard Moyzilla had opened recently I knew I should try it out. I was very happy with the result, which was both delicious and pretty reasonably priced--especially compared to some of the other trucks out there. I had the Moyzilla Meal Box, which was $8 for four dumplings, stir-fried noodles (or fried rice), and asian slaw. I was in the mood for something a little lighter, so I tried the veggie dumplings, which are stuffed with kale, carrots, edamame, and tofu, and come with a great dipping sauce. They were delicious, and I'm excited to try the other dumplings Moyzilla offers over the next few weeks. The stir-fried noodles that came with my dumplings (I still can't believe all of this was only $8) were cooked really well, and are definitely something I would eat again. The slaw that also comes with the meal box was most surprising. Usually I think "slaw" is restaurant speak for "we needed to get rid of this cabbage," and I don't pay much attention to it. Moyzilla's slaw was flavorful, had just the right amount of spice, and was definitely not an afterthought by the cooks. Moyzilla is every bit as good as the other food trucks in the area, and at $8 for a substantial amount of food (plus extra points for painting their truck a really cool purple), they are well-deserving of five stars. I'm a fan. The dumplings are good, but my favorite meal I've had from them so far is the japanese fried chicken-DELICIOUS. My only complaint is that $5 dollars for four dumplings isn't a good deal; you kind of feel obligated to get the meal box with the noodles/coleslaw so you don't feel like you're getting ripped off. read more

I've been trying different food trucks in the Boston area, to see which ones were worth another visit. I tried Moyzilla guys when they parked their truck on near the greenway in dewey square about a 10 minute walk from my work building. Atmosphere/Experience: Food truck atmosphere, so nothing really going on there. Staff was very friendly and moved the line along quickly. Food came out astonishingly fast. It wasn't very crowded but they still turned out meals almost instantly Food: Its ok, there are only a few options, dumplings/veggie dumplings/ and a fried chicen dish. Then you chose between two sides, scallion rice and garlic noodles. I ordered the chicken meal with a side of rice, and also curious about the dumplings added some veggie dumplings. I thought the chicken was pretty good and the sriracha aioli was tasty but it probably could have been a tiny bit crispier. I regret choosing the scallion rice, thinking it would be a fried rice dish but it was just plain white rice with a few scallions thrown in. Veggie dumplings were flavorless and dry in my opinion, almost inedible without the dipping sauce. Box meals also come with a small side of Asian slaw which was pretty good. I also tried the mango oolong ice tea, it was pretty tasty but could have been mixed better before being served as I got layers of too sweet and layers lacking mango flavor but after mixing myself it balanced out nicely. Cost: The box meal is 8$ which isn't a bad deal for this area, but isn't great either. The side of dumplings for 5 dollars seems kind of absurd they were small and mediocre. Overall: The description of a two star review sums it up nicely...Meh, I've experienced better. The best part of the truck is the friendly staff and the speed at which they serve it but everything else falls short. Would I come back: Nah, for the price and quality it just doesn't seem worth it. Its probably a around 2.5 on the chart but from my meal the 4 star ranking is a bit high so between a 3 and 2 I chose the latter. read more

I have been a loyal customer to moyzilla. every Monday I would look forward to my lunch. however, today I was completely turned off from their truck by a snooty worker. I politely asked her what time they would be opening, since we got there at 11:10 and was wondering if we should wait or come back in an hour. at first, she completely ignored me. I asked again thinking she didn't hear me, and she answered me with her back still turned away from me. I apologized and asked again because I couldn't hear her. she turned around and gave the most insincere smile and answered, "I don't know what time we'll be open today." I asked her if it would be closer to now or to noon, and she said now and turned back around. when I turned to walk away I heard a slam, and I saw that she had closed the window! there were four other customers who were waiting in line and we all walked away. what incredibly rude service. when my friends and I were walking back from our lunch somewhere else down the street, they were still closed with the windows shut twenty minutes later! there were customers just waiting outside. the food truck next to them had opened by that time and were serving food. I am very disappointed in moyzilla's service to their customers. read more

Just had the Japanese chicken & "garlic" noodles w/slaw. Noodles are flavorless without any sauce- zero garlic taste here. Chicken was just ok- dark meat, which I'm not a fan of in general. Slaw was ok, but cut really roughly rather than fine. Slight spice to it. Liked the sauce on chicken. Coworker had pork dumplings- we both said the same thing, not a repeat food truck. Wanted to love it, but it just fell short compared to the other trucks outside now. At least I didn't wait in a long line! read more

We have hired Moyzilla twice for catering now, and we LOVE them! The first time we hired them, they used their food truck menu and they were incredibly popular. Everyone was raving about it! We brought them back last week for an internal meeting that served about 600 people, and this time we offered limited menu options because our nutritional guidelines were different for this event. Once again, everyone had great reviews! I enjoyed working with Jon to order catering. He was very willing to adapt his menu to our guidelines, and he made the process easy and enjoyable.
