They didn't have it on the World Cup but they have us the remote to change the station. Our server, Jerry, was fantastic. He was attentive and took good care of us. We ordered the Fried Mozzarella, which were delicious. We shared the Alfredo with grilled chicken and the side salad. They were seasoned beautifully and tasted great. I lived in Northern Italy for 6 years; Mozzafiato took me straight back to pizzerias on the Adriatic Sea, Pisa, Livorno, and Sardegna. Antipasto: Caprese, fried mozzarella, and bread basket. Pro:All were delicious, con: no butter came with the bread. Meals: pizzas- Harbor Bridge and La Carne (w/jalapeños). The Italian sausage is so savory on both. If you're a carnivore, go with the La Carne! Calzone: perfectly cooked, crispy crust and HOT stuffing (could use extra side of marinara sauce). All-in: enough leftovers to feed 7 ppl lunch the next day! Jerry was the perfect host/waiter, we were never left waiting for drink refills and he's original staff since the restaurant's opening (plenty of stories). If the Pizza Urge hits you (3x a week for me) while in CC, definitely stop in this perfect hole-in-the-wall pizzeria and keep your forks for dolce! read more

We stumbled across this gem thanks to yelp! From the moment we arrived, something about the cozy patio with the red and white checker tablecloths said: You're About To Have Your Socks Knocked Off. The restaurant was full of lively chatter, smiling faces, and aromas to warm the heart & soul. &The food was absolutely amazing We ordered fried mozzarella to start and it came out hot and fresh. The cheese pull was absolutely insane and the marinara to wash it down with was perfect. After, we enjoyed an Il Martino pizza & also built our own pizza. The Il Martino was out of this world tasty and unique: the white sauce, the chorizo, the red onions and cilantro sheeeesh! The only thing I would have changed myself was maybe without the serranos, usually we enjoy them but yesterday they were extremely spicy‍ The pizza we built was insane too We really enjoyed that there was an option to choose between red sauce, white sauce, and pesto for the base with over 15 toppings to choose from: this really gives you range to go wild & enjoy different offerings. Our only complaint is that we didn't come with more room & an honorable mention is the owner (or manager perhaps) was extremely kind & involved on the dining room floor. This was such a great slice! The crust was perfectly crisp, seasoned sauce, fresh ingredients, and good ambiance. We added some hot honey on their Harbor Bridge pizza and were in heaven. It's texturally perfect with the snap of the crust, soft ricotta, the chew of the sausage, and the flavor bombs of cherry tomato. The food was marvelous!! We ordered a Margarita with anchovies on top. Also had some fried mozzarella, which was served hot and melty inside!! By the time we could take pictures, we had already finished half!! The thin crust was so chewy, yummy, with basil aroma!! Of course, sharing with our puppies proved the topping was delicious! Being from Chicago, me & my family know pizza. Not that deep dish crap either. I'm talkin good thin crust. True Chicagoans know what I mean - "tavern style". We started with the bread basket, and the marinara is phenomenal--rich, balanced, clearly house-made, and honestly good enough to order on its own. Then the test that matters: the classic pepperoni pizza--my baseline for judging any pizza place. Excellent New York-style crust with the right bite, great sauce-to-cheese balance, quality pepperoni, and slices that hold up from first to last. Every bite confirmed it--this is top-tier pizza. Service was outstanding. MacKenzie was our server, and it was her first day--you would never know it. She was amazing: attentive, smiling, genuinely happy, and a lot of fun. Was hesitant to try this place because it had so few reviews but OMG!! I'm so glad we came here. The food here is incredible. You can tell they make the pizza from scratch with fresh ingredients. I truly believe anything you get here will be delicious. The owner (I assume) came out and greeted us while simultaneously working the floor. You can tell he really cares about the business which I love. It was honestly pretty packed for a Monday night which is also a good sign. If you're looking for great Italian pizza and pasta you must go to Mozzafiato (breath taking). We loved the authentic Italian feel and experience. From the delicious thin crust pizza made with just about every topping you could want, to the fried mozzarella squares (I've been dreaming about these!). My spinach salad was awesome. Also fettuccine Alfredo was on the menu and I'll be ordering that next time! Our server Dorian was exceptional and Jerry (the manager I believe ) couldn't have been more helpful and gracious. Just a fabulous experience overall. We also met the owner on our way out and let him know we would be bringing all of our friends and family back soon. Even so, the food reflected good organization and attention to detail--always something I notice as a chef. The Il Martino pizza was the highlight. The fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp was handled well, especially for takeout. The sauce stayed emulsified and creamy, not broken or cloying. Pasta was cooked properly, and the shrimp were tender--not overcooked, which is often a challenge during busy service. One unexpected star was the dinner roll served with the caprese and pasta--exceptionally soft, flavorful, and honestly show‑stealing for something so simple. Dessert was the Italian cream cake, and it delivered. Came by on a Saturday (three weeks ago) and the line was out the door and with such limited seating, we decided to skip. But wifie insisted she wanted to try it, so I went in to order a take-out pie on Sunday. I ordered the La Carne large and a couple of extra toppings and on advise ordered a large Zeus salad. So I'm going to account to MY part in this to the fact they were packed and things felt rushed all around me. So, a large La Carne is $26 and each topping (mushrooms and black olives) were $1.50 each. All told, that's $29 for a large meaty pizza. The salad adds $10. I should have done the math but just felt happy to being served. "That will be $54 (and change)...I hand over cash and get a little back. So $55 for a pizza and salad. What's even MORE poetic is that I drive all the way back across town and there isn't an ounce...a SCRAP of meat on the pizza. Given the drive I was almost willing to accept that I'd been taken but not when I sat for a second and decided I'm heading back over. I didn't have a receipt...they didn't give me one. I took it back in and showed someone NEW (original order take I'm told was the owner) was nowhere to be seen. I was very lucky they took my word about the original order. Had to wait for a new pie and finally get back home. The pizza was OK, I've definitely had better...but given what I had to go through...it most definitely is nothing special enough to warrant the trip across town. Advice I can give? GET A RECEIPT AND CHECK THE MATH. Secondly, if you're ordering to go?? CHECK YOUR PIE BEFORE YOU LEAVE!! They got my money...took me for a ride...and I'll never return. read more

Comfortable looking place that gave off a homey vibe. Ordered side Zeus salad which was the largest side salad I ever had. It was full of tomatoes, red onion. Feta cheese, olives and lots of fresh greens. Ordered pizza with sausage. It was delicious. Loved the thin crust and the fresh tomato sauce. I'm from New York and live in Florida where we have great pizza and this was right up there. My server Sabatino was extra attentive. These guys have the winning formula. Absolutely delightful! From the food to the service and ambiance, I enjoyed my visit for a long, lingering lunch. Started with a caprese salad, then the garden pizza (Il giardino d'Italia) with a side of meatballs, and topped off the meal with dessert and coffee. The decor feels homey, yet elevated with red checkered tablecloth and wrought iron wall hangings. I've been to Italy several times, and the food is comparable! Great quality, delicious, with very friendly attentive service. The owner Marco made a point to introduce himself and ask how everything was. One suggestion -- change the name of the "cream" cake. The name is misleading as it isn't creamy at all (but it does feature homemade whipped cream flourishes). The homemade cake has pecans, coconut and almond flavoring, so a name like nut cake is more fitting. In Italian that would be torta di noci. Hope to see that on the menu next time I visit! And definitely add tiramisu as a dessert option. read more

First visit to Mozzafiato was on a week night and the pizza was fabulous. Second visit on a Friday night not so good. The crust was burnt on our pizza and our friend's calzones. My Caesar salad was half croutons. They opened a side area to the restaurant and I guess haven't figured out how to serve so many people. I will return as the flavor was good.
