This is an awesome pizza joint on shoreline. It's in an unassuming location attached to a hotel. They do small, Neapolitan style pizzas using top notch ingredients. They have 8 beers and ciders on tap. They do counter service and the staff is fantastic. We did takeout but the restaurant was really cool, fun games to play towards the back. The carnivore is what we settled on and while it was good I was hoping for a slightly less soggy crust BUT it was still really good and we enjoyed it. Service was pretty quick to order and it took 25min for our order to come up which is great considering they were busy and it was Valentine's Day. I've been eyeing this place on Instagram and told myself I'd try it when I came to corpus again. I finally got that chance this past weekend and it did not disappoint. The location is easy to find, clean, and had plenty of space. Ordering was easy, they had a large menu, and we received our pizzas rather quickly. The pizzas were DELICIOUS. the dough was perfection and they were the perfect combination of sauce, dough, and toppings. The hot honey they use on some pizzas is so good but not overpowering. Marty McPies Okay yelp. We meet again - and I've got some good news and some bad news. Bad news is I unfortunately found my way down to Corpus Christi, Tx. Some might hate me for saying this but this place is probably where most of DFW's plumbing ends up. Not my favorite place to be in the selfishly large state of Texas. Anyhow, I'm not here to make any friends - let's get to stuff you actually came here for. Chances are if you've made it this far, you're invested. The good news is I found a pretty awesome pizza spot here if pie is your thing. And this isn't yours typical Pizza Hut, slap in the Italian guy's face pizza. It's got a few good things going on here. For those who are new we go off of vibes, service, and food quality. The sh*t that matters most. Service - this is one of the places where service is basically nil because you walk up, order, and take your seat. They'll call you when it's ready. However, the folks at the place were nice and friendly. I was one of those idiots who came in 20min before closing. Those who work in the service industry know just how annoying this is. Shockingly I didn't get any vibes that these people wanted to kill me. 10/10. Vibes - everything inside was nice and clean. I'd have to guess this place is pretty new. Good lighting and fixtures that really add to the aura. Couple that up with some good music and you've got yourself a nice hip pizza spot. 8/10. Food Quality - pizza was made to order and was ready pretty quickly. Most places like this will leave you with a 5 o'clock shadow waiting for your meal but I give it to them, it was nice and prompt. I went with the Garfield pizza, which had some pepperoni, sausage, and ricotta along with your sauce and cheese. It was great. The crust was crispy, with some nice char. My only real complaint with the pizza, and I'm nitpicking here, is it was slightly on the greasy side. With that being said we're not talking 4 days without washing your hair greasy. It was just a little. The star of the show was the ricotta cheese. It was soft and delicate. Marvelous. Im going 7.7/10 for this one - I personally think the quality of the sausage could be brought up a tough to really polish off this pizza. You won't regret popping in and giving this place A try. It's located in a good spot down along the water, plenty of bars / restaurants around it. You'll find it on the backside of the best western hotel.
