I can't sing Matt's praises enough. He had been my dad's plumber for a few years doing jobs here and there. Last month I finally convinced my dad that he really needed a total repipe, his house still had the old galvanized plumbing through out, not to mention leaks and drainage issues. Matt came out and gave us an extremely fair quote for a copper/pex and ABS repipe, and we agreed to hire his crew. Matt and his crew showed up right at 9:00am on the agreed upon day, we did a quick walk through confirming everything, and his guys got to work. Matt said if any issues came up, don't hesitate to call him at his number. Happy to say, never had to. His guys showed up everyday no later than 9:30 for the entire week. They were professional, friendly, and cleaned up as they worked. Worked started on a Monday, but ended up being a little more extensive then previously thought, so the crew had to come for a total of 8 days rather than the 5 previously estimated, They came back the following Monday and wrapped up by Wednesday. Am happy to say that even though the work took longer, he made sure his crew still came on time on those extra days and didn't miss or skip a day. There was only one morning that the crew was running behind and Matt was courteous enough to call us first thing and let us know he had a vehicle that broke down and the guys would be late. The crew still made it by 10:30am. Like I said, I couldn't speak higher of Matt and his crew. Additionally, he uses all American made parts and guarantees the work. Now my dad's house has the water pressure he never had in years, no more yucky smells, and no more invisible leaks. How unprofessional and RUDE. I call him on Tuesday for an appointment. He tells me he will be here on Thursday between 9-11am. I stay at home and wait for him. He's a no-show with NO call and NO update. I finally call him at 11:40 and I ask what his ETA is. He says 45 minutes. Then I ask him if it's customary for him to not contact a customer when he's not going to show up. He says, "Yeah, uhh... call someone else". Then he hangs up on me. I call him back, he sends me to voicemail. I leave a voicemail telling him that I'll be informing my friends and family about my experience, also that I will leave accurate reviews and tell my 140k social media followers my experience as well. This was completely ridiculous and shocking. I had a job for him to do that cost over $1500 and I'm so glad that I won't be giving him my business. How rude and unprofessional. It is difficult to believe this place got such high ratings on Yelp. Matt did nothing. Stood in the driveway smoking a cigarette and talking on his cell phone. It took 5 minutes to replace the thermocouple line. He is located in Gardena and I in Redondo Beach and charged me $210, and guess what as soon as he left, the pilot light went out. I called the gas company a second time and the screen on the bottom of the heater was cleaned with a brush. MPD did not even try this. Bottom line..... was my thermocouple device impaired or did just the screen need cleaning? By the way, I was to get back $50 from MPD. Have not seen it yet. read more

I just made an account, just so I can tell all the Yelpers how Awesome these guys are! I've been using Yelp recently, it's Great! We seemed to have several Toilet Issues, thing leaks and all kinds of stuff, dripping water, wouldn't flush etc.. I'm internet Savvy and a Business Man, so naturally I negotiate, communicate and get the best price from anyone I call. And I'm the guy that will call everyone there is to call, compare all the prices and choose the best price. And that's what I did with these guys, they were actually 50% Cheaper than Everyone I called! Everyone I called wanted to charge around $140, $150 plus Tax, And even gave me the impression it will most likely be more etc.. Even one dude we wound up talking for like 20 minutes, shootin the breeze about which Elementary schools we went to etc.. And he still wanted to charge $140, I thought that guy was gonna be the best price cause how cool he was with me Called these guys, and Bow! $75 They fixed it in like 20 minutes, did an Awesome Job all new parts, The coolest new stuff for the Toilet These Guys are Awesome! I would give no star if there was an option. and NOT RECOMMEND them AT ALL we were referred to MPD plumbing by our contractor so we gave them a job to replace some parts. we were referred to use Matthew but I've only talked to matthew once and guy named ricky showed up for the actual job. So I'm not sure how Matthew is. our first job they came 2 hours late and didn't even call me to let me know so I had to wait and call them to check if they're going to be late or not. (what a great service to let your customer know that you're running late or not) since they done the job with us last time my husband called them again the next time when we had a drain problem in the other area of our house. Ricky said he'll show up in few hours but didn't instead my husband had to call ricky again to check if he'll be here or not on time!(which was already late!!!) After my husband called Ricky said he's running late because they have some problem at the other job. so that's fine, my husband took a day off for them to come over since they said they will come over! couple hours later Ricky didn't show up and said he can't come over that day but would like to reschedule and come over the next day 9:30am. (oh my husband's day off was just lost with no progress at all, what a great day off for my husband! waste of time!!) So the next day 9:30am, (the time and day Ricky promised to come over after changing the time twice and and being late without any notice) of course Ricky DID NOT show up! what a surprise! Since seems like MPD plumbing is always late we waited a little but no phone call or show up. So we called from my husband's phone and my phone like about 11 times to try to get hold of someone at MPD plumbing. Of course no one answered for the whole time and we get phone call back at 10:56am!! its about hour and half late!!!!!! really?? you think we're just sitting around here and do nothing and our time is not valuable? so Ricky showed up around 12pm hahahaha are you serious? its 2 and half hours late! I can't believe them oh! actually a day and 2 and half hours late! When Ricky was here, I asked him if he can call us next time if they're going to be late or can't show up since we can't just wait for them here and I told him I called him many time this morning. Instead of apologizing, he said "you only called twice and I called you back to let you know we're running late" OMG... really I can't believe anyone can be this rude and obnoxious. you can't even say sorry that you're late and not called but blaming me that I only called twice when we actually called 11 times for you to call me back? and he goes, "I don't need your business do you want us to leave?" of course I want your ass out of my porch right now before I kick your ass. are you serious? As I depend on yelp for EVERYTHING! I really count on what others review on the services they receive. And I hope this helps others out too. The pipes under my house were so old that these were the original pipes when my house was built centuries ago! Can I just say how wonderful and professional Matt and his crew were!? I called Matt Monday morning and he promised me that I would have a working toilet before they left for the day (2 day job). I was so happy to come home Monday evening to a working toilet (my entire family was happy too). Matt and his crew worked so hard to make sure every pipe they installed was A++ work. Just recently bought an investment property and the house was in serious need of plumbing work. I went out and got bids from several different vendors from the area. MPD plumbing came in as the most comprehensive and most reasonably priced proposal. I also received an excellent referral from Matt's long time customer of 10+ years. Once I agreed to the deal, they came in and did the work right away. I had galvanized water pipes and drains original from when the house was built in 1948. Galvanized pipes collect lead internally and after some time they corrode and eventually you get smaller streams of water, brown rusty water and lead. Which is very unhealthy. The pipes was long overdue for a replacement. Matt and his team came in and replaced all the water lines with American made copper. He also replaced the drains as well. He also added a clean out port to the drain, included a fiber optic video inspection of my drain going out to the street. He was able confirm that my drain was in good shape. When the work was done, I looked under the house floor and I was able to see brand new copper lines with shiny welds connecting them. The drains was also installed very nicely. Every single piece and angle was done by an experienced plumbing craftsman. MPD plumbing has done an amazing job for my house and I appreciate their efforts and quality of work.
