I have to mention - no one from Al's crew ever tried to dissuade us from getting an inspection, which is in stark contrast to 5 plumbing companies I've interviewed before. These guys are just highly skilled legitimate career plumbers. During the process I've met Al, his son, and several of his super-plumbers. The whole thing took 2 days. Al even de-clogged an old shower at no cost for us. Thank you sir! They even talked us down from spending money on more expensive repair we did not need. This was such a pleasant company to deal with overall, recommended by two of my neighbours who are also equally happy. Jeff McKeeve and his team showed up promptly, were professional throughout, and made the entire process easy. What originally looked like a straightforward repair turned into a two-visit job after my wife casually asked them to also look at a guest bath sink issue... which, to my financial "delight," basically doubled the cost of the project. To be fair, they did a very thorough job, sourced matching sink hardware for us, and handled everything from start to finish. I was completely absent from the process, honestly, priceless. There's something beautiful about coming home from work and simply discovering things are fixed. Most importantly, my wife was happy with the workmanship... and in marriage, that's really the final review that matters. One thing I especially appreciated was the detailed invoice outlining exactly what work was performed. That transparency goes a long way, especially when you're trying to understand the cost breakdown. Big kudos to Jeff and the entire team. My Delta tub and shower faucet began to have a slow drip. It was installed in 2003. We don't use…read morethe shower much so I ignored it. The drip continued to grow to about 2 gallons per hour. I felt it needed to be fixed soon and called my regular plumber. He was very busy and could not get to it for a week or more so I asked for a recommendation. He suggested McKeeve Plumbing. I checked online, reviews were all good so I contacted them. The technician found the cartridge needed and quoted me a price of $784-$884 installed. The cartridge price on the Delta website is $125. I wanted to get this done so I agreed. The technician came the next day with the cartridge and spent 2 hours installing it. It was a tough job because of the mineral deposits from the hard water here. The faucet worked and the leak was fixed. He then presented me with a bill of $1189.63, 34% more than the quote. This was AFTER the job. I balked at this but since I thought it was fixed I paid. I registered my complaint with the owner who defended the bill saying another plumber might have to open the wall up. Three weeks later the leak came back not as bad as before but still a steady dribble. I called McKeeve again and he was able to show up a week later. He worked on it for an hour and stopped the leak but the handle broke off so the shower was unusable. I called Delta and obtained the replacement handle parts under warranty. I notified McKeeve expecting they would be happy to come and finish the job. Instead I was quoted another $295 to finish the job. I thought this was outrageous but I counter offered $150. At this point they recommended I get someone else since they were too busy. I contacted my regular plumber who was able to come and finish the job for much less than McKeeve wanted. I'm a very dissatisfied customer and will never use them again.

Honestly, I don't want to write this review. I had such a great experience with Good Guy before…read more And even now, I didn't want to complain until I saw the bill and found one of their old bills to me. Now the guy did give me the estimate that I agreed to because I just wanted this problem to be over with, but I had also told him I was pretty certain we had already replaced one or both regulators. Because we have had problems with the water pressure in the house for 3.5 yrs since moving into the house. And I told him I was going to look for the receipts. And after finding them, I told him that I did have both regulators changed and he said one looked new but the other looked old...once in 2023, and then Good Guys replaced one in 2024. When I made the appt. I told the scheduler, that we have pressure problems still and I'm assuming I have told them, but she can look at the previous records if need be because I honestly couldn't remember but told her I felt like I have told every plumber we have had out to the house. But honestly that I just needed someone to come and truly figure out why we have continuous pressure problems as a Leak Specialist couldn't do his test which relies on the pressure of the water being sprayed which he still showed as being low. And the reason I even gave 2 stars for Good Guy, (but would love to give 5 stars this time), is that they finally figured out the problem once and for all I hope. Which wasn't the pressure regulator at all.... and given that ive now replaced them 3 times with no improvement, then clearly the regulators were never the problem. But back in '24, I paid Good Guys $1045 for one. This time, $580 for a small one and $2500 for the big one. Why are the prices all over the place and why was one 5x the cost? Yet, online pricing for the big one is the same cost to buy the part as the little one. The previous plumber that I paid to change the big regulator back in 23 including changing out our garbage disposal, was the same total price for both services as Good Guy charged for just changing the little regulator this month. I know I owe for their time, but finding out they were one of the companies who had changed it before and pricing all over the place makes me feel robbed! That said, I agreed to them problem solving one thing at a time. And I am so happy they have finally truly found problems for us, but isn't that why you hire any plumber? To find the true problem to fix. Why didn't they know they had already replaced one before and honestly heavy on the pricing for a basic piece and problem solving that they already changed out for me before....and apparently didn't fix it. Why didn't I complain about their not fixing the pressure before?...I can only assume because I had about 5 plumbers out for the sump pump AND pressure problems before them and only Good Guy truly solved the Sump Pump issue and I was thrilled to finally get that huge problem resolved. And because we had gotten used to the pressure at that point, so we didn't realize it wasn't fixed until the leak guy pointed it out. I thought I found my honest thorough plumbers. But maybe it depends on even the plumbers within a company? Honestly I don't know. If any of this info is wrong, I will change after I speak to them tomorrow. I just discovered Good Guys old receipt charging me for the same issue before is why I'm writing this new review.

I was impressed by how quickly John S. diagnosed our drainage blockage just by looking at the clean-out hole in the garage. He immediately determined that the issue wasn't in the section from the hole to the street. Another plumbing company had told me that section needed a lining, quoting me $20,000, but John was confident that wasn't the case. John was very smart and efficient -- instead of removing our toilet to snake the line, he simply snaked through a shower drain next to the toilet. He found that tree roots had invaded the pipe. Realizing that meant our pipes were likely broken, we decided to replace them based on John's recommendation. On the first day, Kevin and Cannon made up the team. They worked perfectly together -- Kevin was extremely knowledgeable, and Cannon was a great assistant. As expected, they dug out all the broken pipes and replaced them with new ABS piping. We also had them replace the old piping in the kitchen area. During the job, Kevin discovered that the pipe to the bar sink was half rotten and leaking water into the exterior wall. Even though this was outside the original scope of work, he quickly fixed it by cutting an opening in the wall -- and didn't charge extra! I really appreciated that level of care and integrity. All in all, they finished everything in just two days. Job well done! We couldn't be happier!
