I live in a multi-unit building with stacked drains, and my unit is on the first floor. Yesterday, there was a sudden major backup of ugly water in my bathroom sinks, and I called Cornett b/c I knew they were familiar with this complex's plumbing. Mark showed up and rooted out the drain all the way down to the main line below. He was competent, focused & funny and also professionally handled a minor glitch that occurred during the process. The price was reasonable, too. Finally, I am also embarrassed to admit that the sinks, counter, and cabinet below were WAY cleaner when he was done than they had been before! LOL! I don't even know what to say at this point. We scheduled a small job in March, and Josh from Corbett never came to do it. Since then I've been billed and my HOA paid for the job not knowing that it was never completed. I've been calling them every month, and they just tell me that they'll get back to me. I'm so disappointed in them, and I honestly can't even fathom how this is an issue. We even called the manager as requested, and nothing. I really hope they get their act together and do the right thing ASAP. I was hoping I finally found my go-to plumbers because they seemed very friendly up front, but they really dropped the ball. Called Cornett Plumbing to fix my garbage disposal and was able to get someone to come out same day. Dave O tried repairing the garbage disposal but recommended replacing it due to its wear and tear (including some corrosion and leaking at the base). I know that I need a new mini-split in my garage, but I can't afford it right now. I called a couple of other companies before Cornett, and they just tried to sell me on a new system (upwards of $6700 for a single zone MINI SPLIT) and would not just recharge my system. I know I have a leak, but I also know that if I re-charge this system it will work again, for as long as it works again and right now, that's realistically all I can afford to do. I called Cornett, and explained and Wayne agreed that he can do what I asked. He came on time, and did just as I asked. He didn't try to sell me on more, but when I asked he did give me a very reasonable quote for a new system whenever I am ready. So now I am able to work in my garage office again during the summer! Since they do plumbing I also got a great quote for a new water heater when I am ready. I have worked as a construction project manager, so I have experience with all kinds of contractors and I was so happy to have a great experience with Cornett. They are knowledgeable, and fair and I 100% recommend and will call again. I just wish he'd given me a magnet or something for my fridge so I'd have their number on hand ha ha. read more

Every time I've called Cornett they were able to quickly resolve my problems. My furnace needed a new inducer blower and it was cold, so I needed something right away. Wayne came by the same day and was able to get me a quote, but when I pressed about needing it sooner he was able to get the part sooner and have it installed the next day. I've also used Cornett before for plumbing things, and they may not be the cheapest in town but they work quickly and are very helpful at referring you if they don't have the exact service. In my case I had a sewer main that needed to be cleaned out from the roof and they referred me to someone who was so good, he was also able to fix a bathtub that I thought was unfixable. I've called for several days to set up an appointment and on my last attempt to reach someone, I get this rude woman on the phone who says her name is Minel (spelling not sure because she said she doesn't have to spell her name!) who apparently thinks she can be as rude as she wants to be and it's ok. When asked to speak to the manager she says she is the manager. Who ever the owner is of this business please be aware you have the wrong person answering the phone! When I called Cornett on 7/3/24, the day before the Fourth of July holiday weekend, I fully expected to arrange an appointment for the following week to fix some annoying but non-emergency plumbing problems. Instead I was informed that a technician would arrive between eleven and two that day! As a long time and well satisfied Cornett customer I expected good service but this was above and beyond. Roger arrived at 1115 and diagnosed the problems in a few minutes and informed me that, luckily, he had the cartridge needed to fix one of the problems on his truck. In about an hour and a half, my bathroom was again functioning as it should. If you need plumbing services or any of the associated services listed on their website, give these folks a try. Shame on me for not asking more questions, but when I asked them about a loose tile under my toilet that I suspected was the result of a leak, they said they'd have to send a person to see if that was the case and said nothing else about a charge for giving the quote. When the plumber came, he said he couldn't tell anything without lifting the toilet up and breaking the seal. For that it'd be 250, or 700 to just get a new toilet entirely. When I asked him to write down the quote so I could ask my husband who wasn't home at the time, he charged 125 for just showing up to provide the quote. Having gotten quotes for non-urgent plumbing jobs before without being charged for a quote, I was shocked. I understand some plumbers have service call fees, but to not be upfront about it ahead of time means I'll never use them again and stop recommending them to my friends, neighbors, and Nextdoor. read more
