First, don't be a bad dog owner and wait as long as we did for a groom! Both dogs had matting issues, so it took longer than usual, that just causing more stress on the pups! One dog had been having stomach issues, even though we bathed her, she still had an odor (PU). They NEEDED grooming, but taking two BIG dogs to a groomer is not something I'm willing to do! That's when I called Mr. Anthony's!! I was not disappointed at all. Both dogs, were bathed, deshedded (is that even a word) toe nails clipped, teeth cleaned, some areas shaved down a little ... and hold your breath - anal glands squeezed ewww but necessary! UPDATE: the owner of the company personally called to apologize to me and assured me he spoke to the groomer involved about the situation, so I have given 2 stars for that, as he literally contacted me right away when I posted my review and attempted to make it right. I really appreciated the way the situation was handled! ORIGINAL: I gave them a try because my regular groomer has moved out to the beach and honestly I'm not pleased with the results. The girl who groomed my boy (Daniela) was very nice, and she was very good with my dog which was a plus because he does get nervous around strangers, but she needs some more training. My dog's cut was choppy and uneven in several areas, and she shaved him when I specifically told her not to because his breed is not supposed to be shaved. He seemed perfectly happy when he came back to me, but the cut was ultimately not what I wanted and not worth the price. The company itself was great and my experience was great other than the cut itself. I would try them again maybe, but would for sure ask for someone else from their crew. read more
